Hey guys, so i've been seeing ALOT of new 7.x roms coming out this week, and this is really confusing me, there are so many options right now im just completely unable to choose one.
Im currently running with Ashwin's 7.0 Rom but i am always looking for new options.
Any one who has any idea which ones are worth looking into? Most of them all seem good.

Tesla!
Tesla-N, Beanstock, Xenon, AOISP, Aosp.. Both CM14 ROMs need a lot of work still.
I have to agree with the two above.
GZR's Tesla-N!
Tesla has nougat rom? I only find Tesla mm rom.
Omicron Technics
Thanks for the info guys, anyone know if any of these can be dirty flashed over my existing ROM?

Yes, they do have. You could check their google+ community for the latest build.

Always do a clean flash if you are using a different rom.

All of them can be dirty flashed required that you have the right bootloader.
Dirty flashed being that your flashing the same ROM that's currently installed without wiping. Sometimes good for updating but clean flash is always suggested.
I've tried Tesla N but I usually get System UI stopped. Now I'm using XenonHD and it's working fine, only torch tile in quick setting is not working, and camera takes 10 seconds to start after restart (2 second the next times).
I tried 3 different ones from local devs, the best one, fully workable and ready to use is XenonHD. Thanks to it's dev!
XenonHD for me its more stable then cm14
Just a quick update y'all; im currently running Dirty Unicorns (there was a new version yesterday, 20.11.2016) and it is working flawlessly so far. Thanks for the help though!

For me, XenonHD doesn't work well. It lags quite a lot. Like the frame drops are significant. Maybe it's at like 10 or 8 fps on XenonHD. But I have had no problems with TeslaN 3.1. Except for the fact that it is a bit laggy, like whole switching from one app to another, it takes quite a lot of time

Nougat is still in it's infant stages also seems like majority of people looking for battery over performance. Look into Kernal Auditor helps adjusting for your liking. Custom kernels like Heliox, Arsenic and Black reactor might give you even more options for tuning. I found all of the Nougat ROMs to be quite good considering we don't have official support.
I'm trying to find a custom 6.0 rom with volte support. Haven't found it yet. Can someone help me? Thanks
Yes, AOKP Marshmallow. Very good, stable, battery save rom. I have rebuild it today, but not test yet, so for now use previous build: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-2l1xmYBAzsN3Z0QzBORnliNm8

Same thoughts this weekend. Although i use N versions last months, i returned back to aokp 3 days ago and i remembered how complete the phone is. No insane heat, stability, perfect camera, and SOT 5++ hours easily.

I also agree. I am fairly happy using modded stock eui ROMs (I mostly use Cuoco92) but would be great to have a supported custom M ROM option again. The N ROMs have far too many compromises for me.

I don't know how it will be like. We didn't get the chance to test a final build before release and there was a few battery issues with it. But with those who were waiting for it its finally here!! Backup your stuff and go update!
No daydream support is a deal breaker for me. Staying on stock Nougat then.
Thank you for the post, OP. I hope everyone who doesn't use Daydream will enjoy it.

That is incredibly stupid. It's like they didn't bother fixing the bigger more complex issues possibly that they're not competent enough to do so. Those issues being an encryption problem that occurred during beta testing where some beta testers that updated over OTA from nougat to Oreo were stuck at an "to start android, enter password (or pin)" and the only way out was to factory reset. If they didn't fix that, then they didn't fix the overheating and battery drain issues. Disappointed.
nice one, that's for USA. Any news on the 2017G?

Agreed, releasing an update that removes features. If we wanted a ROM that didn't function 100%, then we might as well stay on custom ROMs. Better off doing so in some cases.
Seems this is only for those who don't know how or don't want to learn how to install custom ROMs on their phone.
I know that's pretty obvious, it's just a shame.
Removal of daydream would be a good trade if it did something like help improve battery life and performance. Both of these were already good enough on stock nougat though. Battery was terrible in the oreo beta from what everyone reported

I installed it from SD. Had to go buy one though because I never used one ...anyway...tried installing using ADB and that will NOT work. Installed just fine from SD. This is only my backup phone so I did not set it up completely to mirror my daily driver, but it looks good. The default launcher is OK. I regularly use Nova Prime. Everything I tried worked great. I do not use Daydream or anything like that so no loss for me.

They seemed to have removed the really cool interactive photo feature from the camera and gallery app. That really sucks, it was really cool and I took some really cool shots with it at a concert back in March during the beta. Since that feature was removed those pictures aren't working anymore

I'm sorry, but this long and we get that? This indeed has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
hi all. i'm currently awaiting delivery of my mi pad 4 and would like to know peoples opinions of Mokee vs MIUI.
i've read that double tap and magnetic open aren't working in Mokee, i may be able to live with this if the ROM is faster than MIUI.
so, to those who have tried both, what are your experiences and opinions, is mokee any faster/more or less stable than miui/how's the battery life compare between the two?
thanks
I tried everything available and settled on Mokee. Stability is great, no crashes, battery life is the same, expect 10-15 hours depending on what you do. Also its very clean, no clutter. Could not ask for a better daily driver.
Agree with @nsx2brz
For me, Mokee is much better than MIUI.
Great to hear, looks like I'll go with mokee then. Happy days

good question and one that i can't answer, sorry. i'm still waiting for the mipad 4 to arrive, just planning ahead. i am running globe rom on my poco f1 though and it's fine and dandy.
if you go here it tells you all about ARB including instructions on how to check if ARB is present on your device. but, i'm guessing you won't actually be rolling back, as you'll be flashing a newer rom. perhaps someone with more experience, and that actually owns the device now, can shed some light...

apparently ARB is present, but it's dormant, see here
ARB status - 1 = dormant, as far as i've been told (forgot about a previous thread i made asking the same thing!) yes, you can even go back from miui 10 to 9, at present.

Actuality you can u use a Magisk module for that (assuming your device is rooted).
I used it on Mokee and it worked perfectly!
As for MIUI vs Mokee, my Mi Pad 4 came pre-installed with Mokee but I switched back to MIUI. Mokee performed well, b but seemed unstable with system processes stopping a lot of the time

Been using it for a long time and even though I'm within the 1% of people with a "defective" device (means that I get random black and green screens with Difr's kernels) I have to say that this ROMs is awesome, no lag, excellent ram management, perfect battery backup up to 8-10h of intensive use
I don't remember facing any critical bug (apart from the random reboots that as I mentioned earlier less than 1% of devices suffer)
Edit: forgot to mention that it has little to absolutely no performance drop over time
Haven't wiped the device in around 3 months (and I'm the type of person that usually swaps roms at least once a month)
