Hi all,
I know there are a few different APN settings for the three network in the UK, could anyone post here what they have or have adjusted On theirs?
Background info.... until April I had an old note4, that I used for tethering my iPad etc too that three couldn't monitor how much tethering I did on it. Unfortunately it died and I bought the S8 in April.... newer software etc meant that three could now monitor the amount and stopped me at 4gb (despite my offering to pay more or change to a newer contract that offers up to 30gb tether they said no).
Desperately searched the internet and found a thread that someone put their 'adjusted' APN setting on.... tried it and success unlimited tether.
Last week a repair at phone store and they accidentally wiped all my settings!!!! I'm gutted now as I forgot to write them down and am unable to find the APN settings again.
So any settings/advice/tips appreciated (feelfred to message if preferred)
Thanks

Trying to set up my new X10 mini pro for service on ATT USA. Running into some setup snags.
Have already rooted!
Model is U20i
Have network mode set to GSM / WCDMA preferred
Network operators setting has ATT and ATT DR available. WILL NOT let me select ATT only DR - if I try ATT it says "your sim card does not allow a connection to this network"
How do I get off of ATT DR and onto ATT?
Under APN I put in:
name - att
apn - wap.cingular
proxy - wireless.cingualar.com
port - 80
username - not set
password - not set
server - not set
mmsc - http://mmsc.cingular.com
mms proxy - wireless.cingular.com
mms port - 80
mcc - 310
mnc - 410
apn type - not set
Should I be worrying about data roaming? Im fairly certain thats what the DR in att dr stands for. I understand if 3G isnt possible. But data roaming.yikes.
Have you checked what operator the sim gives you in a 2G only phone? You sadly wont be able to get 3G, you'd have to track down a u20a variant for that.
I updated my phone to the 2.2 unbranded ROM and without thinking I did not copy down the APN settings first. I was able to find the settings to connect to the 3G network on Virgins website but I can not find the Canadian MMS settings anywhere. Does anyone have a stock rom or the MMS settings? They would be greatly appreciated!
You probably already figured this out, but I'm going to post these anyway for people finding this thread through google.

Tried to get a pix that was sent to me last night, and it could not open it. Any Ideas would be appreciated.
Contacted Virgin Mobile, and the info is correct, however the data setting has to be on for it to work!
mods, if this is in the wrong subforum please move to the correct area.
right i had an interesting problem today, i took off wifi and lost my data connection completly.
so heres ho to rectify this if it happens to anyone else.
please not these settings are for a uk vpad7 (it mite work with the vpad10 but im not guarenteeing it)
firstly you need to navigate to the APN settings to get there
menu>settings>wireless & network>mobile networks>access point names
now your in the apn setting menu, select the top box (O2 mobile web, underneath the bold heading it will say mobile.o2.co.uk <<< this is incorrect)
so go ahead and click to get into it.
there will be multiple settings, most of these will need editing.
Name - leave as is
APN - payandgo.o2.co.uk
Proxy - leave as is (if still not working change to Not set)
Port - leave as is (if still not working change to Not set)
Username - payandgo

MMS Proxy - 193.113.200.195
MMS Port - 8080
MCC - 234
MNC - 10
Authentication type - leave as is (if still not working change to Not set)

once again these are the setting for getting mobile internet to work on the vpad 7, with these settings i now have a H (indicating i have a hsdpa connection) and a full signal bar in the notification area.

Hi Everyone,
T-Mobile/Moto E user here, and I was having significant connectivity issues with my device. You see, One second I'd have HSPA, which would tick down to 3g, then tick down to edge, then, soon after, disconnect completely.
I don't know if location has a bearing on this, but I do like in Southern California.
Now, I tried numerous troubleshooting methods which range from replacing the sim, to talking to T-Mobile and Motorola tech support. Fortunately, one of the T-Mobile CSRs suggested I tweak the access point network, which ended up working out
OK, So here is what I did.
1. Go to Settings>Mobile networks>Access Point Names
2. Create new APN
3. Input the following (bold are the main changes)
Name - T-Mobile US Moto E
APN - epc.tmobile.com
Proxy - Not set
Port - Not set
Username - none
Password - ****
Server - wap.voicestream.com
MMSC - http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy - 216.155.165.50
MMS port - Not set
MCC - 310
MNC - 260
Authentication type - Not set
APN type - default
APN protocol - IPv4
APN roaming protocol - IPv4
APN enable/disable - APN enabled (greyed out)
Bearer - Unspecified
MVNO type - None
MVNO value - Not Set (greyed out)
4. Hit menu>save
5. Select T-Mobile US Moto E as new APN
And, just like that, your phone will have significant better connectivity.
Have a great day!
