Customizing LG G3 ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I would like to customize LG G3 stock ROM, by removing some of LG applications and adding one app of my own.
Is it possible to download a stock ROM and modify it?
I prefer this way then rooting my device.
Thanks.

Can i get vanilla Android 4.4 on LG Optimus L70?

I want to get the LG Optimus L70 from Metro PCS. I see it has KitKat on it already, but it seems there is a rom on top, and i dont really like the look. So i wanted to get vanilla Android 4.4 on it, but im new to Android and i dont know if i can just install the vanilla, original version onto that phone... do i have to wait for a port or rom developed by the carrier or some other 3rd party?
Please help! Thanks in advance.

[Q] Is there a way to change the ui to the new one used in the g3?

I reverted to the stock rom after installing some lollipop roms and i wanted to ask if there was a way to make the ui look kinda like the g3 one?
You can get a nearly g3 look on stock rom, using xposed and g2 tweaksbox.
But getting exactly that isn't quite possible

LG G4 UI

Does anyone know if there is a ROM which we can flash on the LG G3 that will allow us to have the new G4 interface?
No
The G4's UI is called LG UX 4.0
Unfortunately, no, there is no ROM with that software for the G3, and I could be wrong, but I doubt there will be. The closest thing are either LG's stock ROM, skydragon, or Jasmine ROM. Your best bet would be waiting for someone to make an icon pack that is themed like the G4. In order to make your stock apps look like the G4's, I would search "LG G4 stock app apk" and once/if someone leaks them you should be able to download and install them. There is also a chance that someone will eventually make a cyanogen theme for it. In order to find that, you should search for an lg g4 cm theme on the play store. The cyanogen theme will require having a cyanogenmod based ROM, such as illusion. Hope that helps somewhat.
PS
I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that you posted this in the wrong thread. I say that because everything else under "Verizon G3 Android Development" is either a ROM or a root tool

I believe there were G3 based ROMs for the G2, so I could see a G4 ROM coming to the G3 at some point.

If I had the G3 I would make a port within like 2 weeks of the G4 system dump comming out. I made a G3 ROM port for the LG Ultimate 2 so I could make G4 one for the G3. Buy me a G3 and I will make one. Of course nobody is gonna buy me a G3 lol. If anybody is willing to test ROMs on your G3 then PM me and we might be able to make a G4 ROM port. Apparently there is work being done to bring a G4 port to the G3. See here:

Here's a link for G4 apks.

Thinking about Custom Roms

I would like to try out new custom roms (I'm currently on stock rom zv4 rooted)
1) Does the LG G3 quick circle work on all custom roms? Or just specific stock based roms? I am very dependent on the quick circle. Also if quick circle does work on custom roms, is it a much faster than stock rom? On stock rom quick circle feels kind of slow.
2) I'm currently on KitKat & would like to update to LolliPop which is why I want to try out a new custom Rom? Does Xposed work as good as it does on KitKat or are there things I should be aware.
3) Stupid Question, what is the difference between Sprint LG G3 Android Development & Sprint G3 Original Android Development?
4) Is it best to update to ZVA via phone provider, then root, bump, then custom rom? Or continue from where I am currently on zv4 root, bump, then custom rom? Will I need to flash zva modem if i stay on zv4?

As far as I know there is a quick circle app for AOSP roms, not sure how far along it is. Not too sure about Xposed, never use it. Difference between original and android development is original is a rom that is built without using other developers work, like CyanogenMod. Android development is roms made using parts of 1 or more roms with their permission, making them not original. Zv4 is easiest to root and then add bumped TWRP recovery. After I had zv4, I flashed engine95's stock zva without loosing root or rrecovery.

I went with non bumped twrp because HTC and dumlock issues... After I got recovery installed I backup and went to wipe factory reset instead I accidentally wiped internal storage and lost my backup and the CM ROM I was about to flash... So my phone was soft bricked but it is back up. If bumped is like HTC dumblock I may not have been so lucky getting my phone back up CM12.1 is only 340mb and stock lg ROM was 2gb and I have crappy internet. So if your looking for a good ROM CM is amazing to so far...

LG Lucid 3 Verizon Custom Roms?

I've already rooted my LG Lucid 3. I've had this phone for a long time now and i know its already outdated, but I've never been able to find any custom roms for it. Its really annoying after waiting so long to see if any would pop up. I just want a stock android experience on this phone, without all the disgusting LG software. Please help? If you know of any compatible roms i could flash to it, that would work too.
