i have this phone sm-g6100 i see all j7 prime devices updating for nougat 7 bur i didnt receive update .
also i cant do update with odin because i cant find and offical or unoffical nougat rom for my device
another problem is root .. i cant root my device i have tried many apps and with odin no tar file for sm-g6100
please please help me i been ignored in everywhere i ask for help for this problem

Hi there my advice for you DON'T Root will not updates for your J7 and dont post here will not help you.

I know that some of the random non brand name devices I've used, I could just use an adb shell and get root. But this isn't true for everything. As for rom cooking and recovery, that's a whole nother beast.

hi. the current os version is 2.3.4 . you can update by turn on wifi and wait for 1 hour . about 220mb .

Please help...I rooted my korean version Lte SHV -E160S using tegrak kernel build 36 FD05 and uninstalled bloatware using android mate. Now my phone is giving the error dialer has stopped working n m unable to call from the device. I was new to the rooting process and did not know that I had to back up everythimg before rooting so m stuck as I do not have any back up . please please help. also m using this device in India. If the need arises, I am willing to delete all data.:crying:

And I finally made my Rom I finished it and put it IN my phone to flash it but I got an ERROR saying : ERROR EXECUTING UPDATER BINARY IN ZIP please help me fix this problem I posted this problem t here's the link to my post

Hello everyone
please i need some help
everytime i root my phone and restart or turn it off and turn it on again it just stucks and never starts only if i install my firmware with odin to make it starts again but i just lose rooting access
when i root with an app it just stucks booting keeps booting and never starts and when i root with supersu twrp recovery and update supsersu and reboot it stucks in custom binary blocked by frp
by the way factory reset did not help
my phone is galaxy j2 j200f android lollipop 5.1.1

Sorry I can't help more, mate. I found the above link from Googling for "Xda galaxy j2 j200f root" - plenty of other hits to go through for you. Maybe you'll find something. Probably most j2 owners don't read this section routinely. I just happened to randomly be wandering by, but don't own a j2. Good luck with root .
