Switching to oneplus 5T - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

I have just bought a Oneplus 5T and it should be here in a weeks time. Will all my data be restored automatically when i set up the OP5T? The reason im asking is when i sent my elephone off for repair i changed phone and when i set up my old S4 no data was backed up so i hard to start the phone from fresh.

[Q] Need help regarding stolen phone

To cut a long story short, my less than one month old OnePlus One was stolen from me yesterday. I tracked it so far and then the signal went dead.
What I want to know is is it possible to know if my phone has been wiped? Would the device remove itself from device manager if it was wiped? I am yet to get my carrier to blacklist the IMEI as I am hoping that they will turn the phone on again and then I can track them. Obviously, if they have wiped the phone it is pointless.
Thanks for any help!

G5 wont turn on

I was trying to type out a message on messenger on my G5 and the phone just locked up. I rebooted the phone, and tried again. This time it locked up but screen had a small band of colors going across, and I turned it off. However, this time it refuses to turn back on. I've tried plugging it into the charger, battery pulled and even trying to get it into the factory reset menu. Nothing seems to work. Looks like I will have to go to my carriers flagship store and have them look @ it.
That sounds pretty fk Up. Have you tried swapping batteries. How old was the device ?

It's brand new. Less than a week old. Going to exchange the phone.

I know you said it's brand new, but maybe you got older version. I've seen people buy new phones and phone was built/shiped 6+ Months. Ask the store when shipment came in. I did this because of the issues I've read on this phone.
Mine is one of the newer shipments and models. I don't have any of the issues other people have.

LG V10 just went into a boot loop

Last year I had the LG G4 phone which went into a boot loop. The phone rebooted while in use and would never come back on. I had it replaced but was given a refurbished phone. About a month later, in late January 2016, I was able to upgrade to the LG V10. I went with LG again even though I had the previous problems as I believed it was not something I'd run into again.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. Less than a year after purchasing my LG V10 it just went into a boot loop. Same exact situation... while using the phone the screen locked up, turned off, and now all I get is the LG startup screen which flashes off and back on every so often. I just chatted with Verizon and they confirmed this is a known issue with the LG V10.
So now in less than a year I am not only without a phone but also lost access to data on it. Thankfully this time I made regular backups of my phone in case this type of problem happened again. I'm sure Verizon will swap this phone with another refurbished device but this will be my last LG phone. My fault for trying to stick with them after the last problem. I won't make that mistake again.
According to Verizon they are familiar with this issue and claimed it was possibly related to a recent system update. My phone updated about a month ago but nothing else changed recently. I'll be back at Verizon in the morning to get them to process a replacement. Now the problem is I have a Google Pixel on order which I was going to trade-in this V10 for. I wonder what trouble this will cause now with that trade-in. The refurbished V10 I most likely will receive should still qualify for the trade-in but I'll have to see what Verizon says in the morning.

I have heard it's related to a hardware issue and not a software issue. However, the software IS seriously out of date.

I've just been through the bootloop/Verizon replacement situation also. They will send a refurb, it is unlikely it's a software issue however.
I was rooted on 5.1.1 v 11b when my V10 looped. So I had literally never updated my phone.

to keep phone switched off for long periods of time

I want to keep switched off my 2nd unused phone(Samsung Galaxy j7 max) for sixth or for 1 year.. is any problem or damage if I keep switched off for long period? Is any other precaution I have to take? Note : Samsung j7 max have non-removable battery..
Don't know about device specific but some devices lost IMEI number if switched off for long period of time.

Calls Go Direct To Voice Mail and Text Not Going Through

I've spent hours working with T-Mobile, and Mint Mobile customer service over this, there is a similar post about a 7 Pro on Verizon but suggested cures were unrelated to T-Mobile. I've been on Mint Mobile a few years and had zero problems. I wanted the 7T Pro (McLaren) by it can only be bought through T-Mobile here in the states. So I figured buy it, wait out time until it is unlockable and go back to Mint Mobile.
So got the Permanent Unlock and went back to Mint, soon noticed incoming phone calls were going to voice mail and my text messages weren't going out. After numerous searches I found many other phones by android and iphone have had this same issue. But couldn't find any cures for 7T Pro from T-Mobile to Mint. The suggested cures for the other phones were unrelated to the operation of T-Mobile and 7T Pro.
I'm desperate to get back on Mint as it saves me a ton of $ compared to T-Mobile rates. I took the Mint sim that malfunctioned in 7T Pro and it work flawlessly on a Pixel XL. I went back to T-Mobile and their Pre-Paid which I had before and everything works. Here is another odd thing, the phone switched itself back to Locked from Perm. Unlock, and I have switched it back, What in the world would allow a Permanent Unlocked phone revert itself back to Locked. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what I have to do to fix this.
