hi all its been while since I joined 5x family on xda but stil I am waiting for single volte rom I feel emui is not so much gud for daily use.. its my humble request to all the devs plz port or make any rom with volte working that wud be very nice

Devs are trying to bring it, so keep an eye on development section, there are no guarantees that it will come soon or ever, so stay patient.

The problem is the software that supports VoLTE will not Boot TWRP so it's a catch 22

I am on stock marshmallow b370 which supports volte plus twrp recovery and it is fully functional

well, honor 5x is not redmi note 3..
redmi note 3 has good developers (kernel developers), in our community, devs are still learning, there are skilled developers like baddaemon and crpalmer who are busy in maintaining lineage 14.1 and there is another dev, yuweng , he has to make a comeback.. devs got some personal life too.. we gotta respect it and accept what we have right now and we have to be thankfull for them

What can I do to install a custom rom. I'm glad to give up VoLTE for it.

it still have a lot of bugs (wifi, rill etc), dont get too hyped, it might take a while to fix them

they will include it to rom if it can help but i think they will need to rewrite it for N compatibility

i just want to know if there are any custom roms which have volte feature in them for honor 5x smartphone in india.
i am no developer myself but it seems developing an entire custom rom happens faster than a single volte feature, can anyone explain to me the reason why this is so?
No firmware is available with VoLTE. It seems "Devs are highly done asking Honor officials to give the required things for VoLTE inclusion in Customer ROMs

Simply because network provider should enable VoLTE from their side (when a software update that have been pushed by the OEM, then the netwrok provider should enable VoLTE from their side for that device)

that's because, VoLTE works on B360+ only, and flashing custom roms on B360+ gives a bootloop , so B360+ is not a good base for cutom roms, so they cannot implement it without the baseband from the original firmware.

That volte upgrade has change in modem. When i tried to boot custom roms on b360. I see error in log like it failed to link modem. I found no help, to fix it.

Somehow its getting text messages. JIO app shows volte enabled device and suggest me to use stock dialer.

All I know is you can change the model (in build.prop) but, I don't know exactly how to do it

Not really, would've been fixed a long ago if they knew the fix.
Many people need volte video call without volte video call custom rom is value less,according to me it is a big bugs so is there any way to run volte video call. In MIUI rom video call working fine but in cusgom rom why not iam one of the fan of custom rom.

I'd like to suggest you that, stick to MIUI until video call bug gets fixed on cust Roms.

Unfortunately there is no custom ROM which supports this feature. You can try some modified miui ROMs like multi pro etc

And you should soon get signal and volte symbol!(3 min) max. (Turn off and on data)
Then try restarting! And only if you are in any clean ROM!

Most of the custom roms based on AOSP or official rom like motorola's etc don't give support to video over LTE feature. It supports only volte. So u think u need to stick with MIUI or u can use duo app or any other video calling app.

What really is the issue with viLTE ?
I'm currently on AEX 5.2 and would like viLTE to work. Please don't suggest that I use MIUI or ZUI.
It is really interesting to know that viLTE works on slimrom.
It appears that the IMS package provides the viLTE feature:

Use AEX Oero ROM
Use AEX Oreo 8.1 rom and add persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=0 to build.prop... and you're good to go... Video call is working

Guys is there any stable MIUI 10 Nougat based port ROM available for Redmi note 3 Kenzo ? There should be no bugs like camera not working, Fingerprint sensor issue, Volte for both sim slots. If anybody tried MIUIPro 10 By Kisasanya then please do reply with your experience.

check this out miui10 for kenzo everything works really good with smooth ui. Just change dpi to 400 it looks too zoomed in otherwise.

I tested now. Camera works perfectly, super smooth ... but:
- 4G LTE doens't work (in build 08/07 by WuFeng works) - Brazil - It works after reboot.
- Fingerprint doesn't work properly, unlock after 2s at 3s when screen's lock on. (in build 08/07 by WuFeng 4s to 5s)
- App Lock by MIUI doesn't work with fingerprint. (in build 08/07 by WuFeng too doesn't work)
