Hi, i bought 5 credits yesterday to flash firmware on fh. But i was unable to download the firmware let alone flash. The instructions for firmware flashing takes me back to rebranding instructions. My Mate 10 Alp 29 is already rebranded by the seller. The Hisuite version recommended to use did not work with my phone. It couldn't get connected with the phone no matter how much I tried.
thanks for the reply

You need to remove whatever the newer version of HiSuite you used installed from the phone, and you need to enable USB debugging. It will definitely connect if you do it right.

For it to connect, you need to make sure:
1. ADB is working (HiSuite will connect over ADB, not over HDB!!)
2. Any HiSuite software installed on the phone has been uninstalled.
It will definitely connect under the right conditions.

Settings -> System -> Developer Options -> turn on "USB debugging" and "OEM unlocking".
You have to activate the Developer Options first by taping 7 times on the build number but since you're on XDA you probably already know that.

Mate, you're very kind, but even after installing it, when I run the install.bat to root my phone, it gets stuck at "daemon started successfully". Then it does nothing, no prompts on phone either.

You enable USB Debugging
Yes, but for some reason I have not got the prompt on my phone asking for allowing it on my PC until now. I installed some adb drivers on PC then rebooted then got the prompt so maybe it was a drivers issue.
Anyway, what I did for rooting my E2333... I downgraded to 27.1.B.1.85 with xperifirm (for downloading the firmware) and flashtool (for flashing it). On xperifirm choose to download the firmware for commercial and journalists, then flashtool is very straight forward, if you need help look for a guide, and remember that when you connect the phone to PC it has to be turned off and you have to hold the "volume down" button while you insert the usb cable on PC. Flashtool will ask something about a fsc thing or something while flashing, just say yes. The first boot will take a while.
Then just use the rootkit provided by Bolek PL. remember to activate debug usb.

I sideloaded the pie beta (CRKE) and found that some of my apps started to freeze randomly. Because of this, I want to downgrade back to oreo. After researching a bit, it seems like I need to use either odin or smartswitch to do so. Odin just fails (tried multiple times) and smartswitch says my device is up to date. Any suggestions/fixes?

I tried that. In the emergency recovery menu, my device doesn't show up. Does it just take a while for it to appear or should it be instant?
Also, for reference, my s9+ is working, except for the apps that freeze
I think, you have to boot into download-mode for the smart switch recovery.
Also first plug in your phone and then open smart switch

Make sure to unregister from the Beta. Use the samsung Members to do so. You might need the Old Samsung Members or the UK version. The US version was crashing on me after I installed PIE.
Open up Smart Switch on your pc and make sure to install smart switch from the play market on your phone before you plug it in.
Once that is done plug your phone and you should see your s9+ on Smart Switch (pc) and it will say something about downgrade update available.
Good luck

I switched to U1 firmware and got the beta using the app and registering (Also on Xfinity). I did try doing a downgrade using smart switch and it was quite painful and once i finally got it to downgrade it looked like it had destroyed efs so no radio. But I was able to get the full firmware for xfinity and an Odin that works to downgrade and or switch to U1. Let me know if you need links for either.

Sounds like a firmware mismatch possibly. What does it say in Settings/About phone/Software information/Service provider SW version? Last line under your IMEI number. Mine is TMB/TMB/VZW. I think possibly the first to have to match for OTA updates to work. The last one indicates what the original firmware out of the box was.

Hmm that looks good. The OTA failure might be due to you having the beta firmware. There might be a series of beta updates you can install from here in the forums to get you where you need to be. I'm not a hundred percent sure though.
Otherwise you ought to be able to update via Odin if you download the latest T-Mobile release. Are you experienced with Odin, is it recognizing your phone when it's in download mode?

Odin wont flash any rom whatsoever. I've already tried 3 different versions but I gave up since they usually take 4 hours to download. Odin gets stuck and/or fails at Setupconnection or initialization steps every time. I'm only asking for help because Odin will not work. I figured I need an update for the beta. They only work for each build though so I need the build that updates baseband ZRL5

Wouldnt even have gotten this far if I didnt have ADB debugging enabled. As I said before several times. Odin wont flash anything. I've already tried to go back to 8. If you can tell me how to get back to 8 without Odin that would be nice. But i need links to files not unhelpful text that tells me that I need to find something. Thats the whole issue. It's almost impossible to find the correct files unless someone who already knows gives you a link to them. I thought that's one thing XDA used to be good for but I guess that isnt the case anymore.
I would of helped but you kinda sound like a ****. Have fun with your perma-beta phone!

If your stuck on setup connection on Odin some things to try assuming using windows
Use Odin 3.13.1 ( or modified Odin 3.13.1B )
If you have smart switch/Kies install, un-install it.
USB cable i'm assuming is a data cable.
USB port try plugging into USB 2 port.
Plug phone directly into PC not any hubs.
Use latest Samsung USB drivers.
Run Odin in administrator mode.
Boot into download mode then reboot back into download mode again.
Maybe turn off any anti-virus programs.
Try a different PC.
These are a few things to try as failing at setup connection can be a common with some people and can vary with the PC.
Also note having OEM unlocked or USB debugging has no bearing when flashing stock firmware with Odin.

pls post up the Odin error report youre getting when flashing the firmware youre attempting.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, etc!
I have not tested the global unlock, Global version unlock thread.
Make sure you make backups before unlocking the bootloader, as this operation will wipe all user data and apps.
Make sure your system version is the official and latest one.
Requirements
- 60% charge on the phone
- PC and usb data cable
- Installed fastboot and proper drivers on your PC
1. Install Deep Testing Apk attached in this post.
2. Click on the Apply Now button in order to get approval for bootloader unlock.
3. Check the status after apply using the Query Approval Status.
4. If you get an error, force stop the application, change your device language to Chinese and try again (if someone can post screenshot of what to tap, I would update this post)
5. Once the approval is done, tap Start Testing button, this will reboot your device in the bootloader.
6. Last chance, make backups at this point otherwise your data is gone.
7. Run command
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
8. Done, you can now reboot into system normally
If I missed anything, kindly comment and I'll update OP.

Hi myogui
Do you have the firmware for RMX3300_11_A.19?
Do I run that command from the phone? When I start deep testing and phone reboots I only have the options to start, power off, recovery, and restart bootloader.
I can't get this to work on A19 firmware no matter what I do. Says not supported on this model even though I have the correct RMX3300 so I am going to upgrade to A20 and see if it works

You can attempt to put the phone into download mode to attempt to root it (by powering off then pressing the home key, volume down button and power button simultaneously).
Then press the volume down key to cancel the operation and restart the phone (without rooting it). It might connect to your computer and become recognized.
After which, try a factory cable and your computer might immediately recognized the phone was plugged into it and be able to access everything on the device.
I already try it without knowing this trick.
Before, I was thinking that all Note 4 have a problem named the eMMc error, but others owners of this phone were able to connect with the PC. So I changed the cables and PCs, maked a factory reset several times, root it and unlock the bootloader to flash a new ROM.
Now, I think that the kernel is corrupted.

Although you wish to know how to downgrade Android without Windows, it is quite impossible to do safely.
The device may face serious ramifications that cannot be recovered in the future. You see, downgrade requires your phone to be rooted or unlocking bootloader. It is an entirely different subject to work on.
And it will require Windows nonetheless.
I know that I need Windows, but the device isn't recognized by many PCs using Windows 7 10 and 11.

'Deep dive' refers to at least search through for at least a good 60 minutes or so.

Ok, thanks!
I made a deep dive but it doesn't work.
Th error's code is code 43.
Many people say to update the drivers and uninstall the device that doesn't work properly.
I also chaged the USB ports.
