No audio after flashing up to 8.0.0 Oreo NOS - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi there,
I am trying to get NitrogenOS (found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-nitrogen-os-11-01-2017-t3536211 ) to be my daily driver.
Whenever I flash this ROM, I am unable to hear anything on calls, exclusively using the bundled Phone app. EVERYTHING else works. Skype calls, LINE calls, hell, even alternative dialer calls work. But when making calls using my data / the bundled phone app (google dialer), I have no audio, and the caller cannot hear me.
What I've tried before posting: Clear cache and dalvik. Dirty flash the rom again. Clean flash the ROM again. Still no audio.
If I start a phone call in Google Dialer using my headset I can hear fine. If I then tap 'speaker' or disconnect my headset, my phone crashes and resets.
Is there a very obvious resolution I'm missing? Like a build.prop tweak I need to make or a radio to flash? I love the ROM but not having calls renders it almost unusable

[Q] Aosp Mic Issues

For some reason, my mic is not working at all. Not even with google voice search, not during phone calls, they simply can not hear me. I tried a new kernel but nothing. I find that my mic works when I do a full wipe and go back to stock, but I love this rom (Carbon rom), is there any way to fix this issue?

[Q] SGII Speakerphone silent in call

Hi, I'm having a strange problem not hearing anything in loud calls.
The scenario is following: I dial the number, the other party picks up (or the other way round), I switch to loud speaker and...can hear nothing (neither from the earspeaker, nor from the loudspeaker). Microphone works normally as it should in the loud call - the other party hears fine. Normal calls (not loud ones) also work fine. Speaker itself is also working - ringtones, music are played.
I'm on the newest AOSP Neatrom 8.0st (KK 4.4.4) and Apolo Kernel 7.1. No other issues so far.
I'm quite new to custom ROM/kernel flashing, also I only recently got my hands on Samsung GII. Sorry if this is a stupid question. No reasonable search effort gave me good results. I'm asking this before I ruin my successful combination of ROM/kernel flashing another ones.
Thanks. Martin
Ok, problem solved by clean re-flash of ROM and kernel.
Still I would like to understand where the problem could have been. Just if it reappears...

Dialer/Calls not working - Slow to connect, No audio.

When I make a call the phone almost freezes but does make the call after several seconds. But then there is no audio, I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me. When someone calls me sometimes it takes so long for my S5 to answer that it goes to voicemail. When the phone does answer, there is no audio either way and the phone is extremely slow to end the call and close the dialer app.
The sim card works fine in other phones.
Alternate dialer apps do the same thing.
I get the same results on several different roms/android versions including Nougat, Marshmallow, Kit Kat.
Every other function of the phone works great (LTE, Text, audio, etc..).
I've completely wiped the phone several times trying different roms, etc..
Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?
replace motherboard and speaker

Speaker broken? /ringtone problem?

currently on AOSP 5.1.1 there is no volume at all, can't play music from music app or youtube or anywhere else, the problem started off with no volume when people try to call me (yes the ringer was on full volume and sound), after a few days the volume started to not work on facebook videos and youtube and other stuff, the phone speaker works so when i notice that someone does call me (vibrate works but don't really notice most calls) the speaker works i can hear the other person (mics not broken), loud speaker doesn't work, is the actual speaker broken? how do i go about a replacement if so, have looked a lot around the web and cannot find parts other than screen and digitizer. I have tried flashing the firmware with twrp and sp flashtool, formatting everything and tried different versions of firmwares and still the same not fixed, also tried custom roms... any suggestions?
I have flashed my phone to stock Android 5.1 as this is the only stable version and all is working well apart from the microphone. When I receive a call the ringtone occurs and i can hear the other person but they can't hear me. I also tested the mic on google but nothing happened.
However, I downloaded TestYourAndroid from Play store and the mic works so I know it's got to be a firmware issue.
Also I can record voice by recording app
If you can help me I would be most grateful.
Note. this is android 5.1 lollipop so it doesn't have full permissions mode, I can access permissions for downloaded app but not for system app such as "phone" is.

Change Phone App from ROM

Hi, I have issues with my microphone, like thisPlease help with microphone., so I have tried many ROM because my microphone work fine, his don't have any problem, only when I call. (whatsapp call, recorder, it's fine, the sound is good).
Then I found MIUI 9 ROM, and the microphone work fine... but this ROM have older patch securities and I don't like... so I would like left his call app in Pixel Rom for example...
