Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum so sorry if this is posted already.
I just got the new Huawei mate 10 pro and I like it so far, however I like the Miui system more and I want to install it on my phone. Is there any way to do that?
Thanks in advance

why nobody cares for huawei phones? i mean stock oreo was flashed on mate 9... and things seem to be going good since oreo supports treble ....
Also, it is still really new device, and people have already found a way to root it... and huawei has made a lot of sales and broke record with mate 10.... so probably a lot of would care about rooting and so.
Good luck ! :fingers-crossed:

Hey, I just searched the threads but could not find MIUI ROM; the one you mentioned. But then anyway, CM works damn smoother, don't want to go for bloated ROM, EMUI is already enough

Official stock or custom? Official stock we already have Nougat. And few custom as well.
Are you asking about Oreo update?

There are less chances but we may get as we had only one Nougat update as they mentioned while honor 8 launch, they will be giving 2 major Androids upgrades so who knows we might get lucky here

it is their supported chip, if we're lucky we may see it but it will take so long to get released like android 7..... probs mid-late 2018 would be realistic time..... android 7 works well and there isnt much new in android 8.
Hi. Today there's a good news for us. MIUI 12 is confirmed for Mi 8. (Many sources, google it). I really love the Xiaomi. Possibly we'll get Android 11, but not confirmed yet (some older devices get the lastest MIUI with lower Android version).

I read Android 11 Yes.
But frankly it doesn't matter. My last phone ( Leeco pro 3) came with Marshmallow and then the company went out of business. Thanks to the brilliance of the developer "Codeworx" it carried on with development. He reverse engineered the Camera Hal from the One Plus to work with the Le pro 3, and went on to build every rom you can think of.
In fact, that forum is still active and even though the source code has not changed from marshmallow thanks to Codeworx and other great developers such as Moshe the users have awesome Android 10 roms and they already planning to build Android 11.
I am certain, that Dipper will remain alive for years.

Absolutely but with Miui as well. it was announced on several chinese sites already.
I had Le Pro 3 before and my mom still use it. With AICP (or other custom rom) the phone have stable Android 10 Q, but originally started with Android 6 M. Great phone.
Still, the Xiaomi have long time support and without custom ROMs we can have the latest updates through years. In my opinion, the phone just need minor updates to fix RAM management and few bugs.

Hi Guys,
I want to get my hands on a Xiaomi mi 10.
But im not sure because I want to root and have te possibility to change roms.
I'm not familiar with Mui so I'm checking the options to customise before I buy.
Anyone who can provide some information?
Thanks in advance.
I came from a Huawei P30 Pro because of more customization possibilities.
So far I like the MIUI experience.
When my Mi 10 arrived, I unlocked the bootloader with the official Xiaomi Unlock tool. It took them 7 days to unlock it. Then I flashed custom ROM from Xiaomi.eu:good:
Root is also possible within TWRP.
Yup also on the EU ROM after waiting 7 days to unlock & everything is running great .....:good:

I think, I never used stock Android... It's just plain ugly
I started with Huaweis EMUI, then I had some experiences with Carbon ROM & Resurrection Remix.
Since Huawei locked down their bootloader, I searched for a new experience.
Now I'm with Xiaomi :good:
It's more customizable than EMUI.
So far, so good.
Time will tell...
Ich bin vorerst zufrieden =)

I checked with my oneplus 8 and it seems the widevine level is missing on your screenshot. I'll check it in a second with my mi10. This is what it' should look like. The security level down below is completely missing on yours
Is xiaomi.eu the only one building ROMs , or do we have other sources too?.

Normally, the kernel is shared across all 7 devices. But as the hardware ia different and the ROM is not tested on the 7T Pro, I don't think that it would work and I wouldn't do it.
Your only chance is to build it yourself or ask the maintainer if he wants to support the device.
Wouldn't think so because the phones have different partition layouts.
And why would anyone ever want to flags memeui?

Sorry for the of semi-off topic question, but how do you build a ROM yourself? Are there decent how to articles you recommend? (By build, I mean, build/port one already made to your device)
