Yours is definitely a one off. I haven't seen anyone else that has had an issue with vibrator before.

If you are running the battery saver it turns off the vibration, my vibration wasn't working and I checked the battery saver then edit and I turned my vibration back on, something you may want to check if you have not already

nope, it's in the battery saver menu if you go to extended mode it disables the vibration, but there is a edit mode that allows you to turn it back on...pretty pleased with the phone at the moment!

Wait a minute... So when you did the vibrator hardware test it still wouldn't test the vibrator motor because you had battery saver on? That doesn't seem right to me. If you are trying to test hardware via internal diagnostic software menu it should pass the test and bypass the vibration off setting because of battery saver mode.
NVM - above is fact, I just verified. My mind is blown by this.

"Battery saver mode" has more authority than "diagnostic software menu".
It's a choice LG engineers made, but you are right -- it sounds like the wrong choice. I would be interested in hearing their logic on that.

Replace the last 3 numbers with your model and try.
So put 873 instead of 998 or 931.

Put a small, removable sticker over the light sensor on the top of your Rezound?
You can always get them to our come on, on demand, by placing your thumb or finger over the light sensor.

The ineffibilis gingerbread rom has the option to keep the lights on. ICS roms have them on all the time I think.

well I'm not rooted so the only fix I see above is the "tape" fix or the "cover censor if you need to see them" fix.

Thanks for posting that, that app works perfectly.
I was using the mik tweaks in the inneffabilis ROM for this, but you have to reselect it every time you restart.

Blocking the sensor works, but...
I just tried putting a small piece of tape over the sensor and found that it works. The red buttons always stay on regardless of the ambient light conditions, however, during a call the screen will no longer go dark so that your ear, cheek, etc are no longer prevented from inadvertently clicking on anything. Obviously the sensor has a double duty.

TI Have Tried Lightflow But It Did Not Work. Is There Any other Way To Disable Charging Light?
You can try putting a stub lights.semc to kill all LEDs.
The problem is I would still like to use the LED for notifications. I only want to disable it during night or/and while charching, Lightflow gives options for both, but is not able to control the LED on this phone.

Why is it that people love to give retarded suggestions on this site? Is it to increase the post count of some sort? The guy asks for a way to disable the led, NOT how to turn around the phone. It's NOT what he asked for so why would you pester his thread with stupid replies? It's so annoying thinking that you've found a thread where the 'issue' you are looking to solve, are being discussed, but then it's just a bunch of people with mockingly stupid answers.
It's either that or "why would you wanna do that?" replies, on this damn website. If you can't help addressing the issue, why make the OP think that someone gave him a useful reply in his thread?
/rant
In an attempt to help anyone else who might stumble upon this thread: If LightFlow works on your phone you should just set the flashrate on the "charging" part to have a humongous "off" time. You can't disable the LED completely but I've found that you can make it flash extremely slow for like 10 ms every 1 hour or something. It helps.

I fixed my broken screen myself but however I toasted the digitizer and probably some other sensor towards the top. Now when I am in the middle of a phone call, if I have to turn on the screen to get it off speaker phone or navigate to take notes or whatever, the screen will not turn on until the person hangs up the phone or until I power cycle it with the battery.
Is there some kind of option I can turn off to stop this sort of action? Thanks.
Have you tried to clean out the sensor right above the Samsung logo? A blast of compressed air will do the trick. I had a similar problem with the screen not coming on while on a call after removing the phone from my ear and this fixed my problem.

Not really s bug but poor low light threshold. This problem was in earlier LG or Pixel I can't remember which one. They tweaked the lowest setting front 0 to 15 and it worked. Auto brightness needs manual ranges for user to be able to tweak.

I fixed the auto brightness using Tasker. This works 100%, no excessive battery drain, no crashes, works perfectly. Set this up in Tasker (see screenshots). Make sure Tasker is excluded from battery saving and has admin and accessibility access. Enjoy.
