I've just bought an Amazfit pace (international version) and love it. One thing I keep seeing in online forums is that it supports audio lap alerts when running and connected to a bluetooth headset. I cannot get this to work on mine and cannot seem to find a definitive answer on whether or not this actually works. I've only ran twice with the watch (both times playing music via bluetooth earphones and leaving my phone at home) but just get a vibration and an on screen message showing me my pace for the last km. (I've turned on the Lap Alert setting).
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or does this feature actually exist?
Also just to add to this, I noticed the pace alert only seems to work if I have my wrist raised (backlight turns on). Should this not always work?

So I upgraded to 2.2 on Saturday via Kies Mini & I've found a problem & was wondering if anyone else has seen it too. Everything works great until I get in my car & my bluetooth connects. Bluetooth works great, but all of the audible alerts on the phone (texts, emails & even the phone ringer) stop & it's vibrate only. Even after I disconnect bluetooth from the car, the audible alerts don't come back.
I've turned silent on/off, changed ringtones (which you can't hear as you cycle through) and the only thing I've found that will bring the audible alerts back is to reboot the phone.
I'll probably root the phone & put on a new ROM this weekend, but until then, this will be a PITA. Anybody else seen it or know of a fix?
I use bluetooth streaming in my car and whenever I change track or pause/resume music, my phone screen wakes. This is really annoying as it is a waste of battery (my main power sucker) - the whole point is that I don't have to touch/look at my phone while driving. I cannot understand why this would be done and surely people who use bluetooth headphones know what I mean.
Anyone have any idea on a fix, I cannot find a useful reply anywhere!
In case anyone cares, I have found a way that is better than nothing using the app 'tasker'. If my phone is connected to my head unit and the screen wakes up without sensing anything on the proximity sensor - the phone immediately re-locks. This means it will only flash on and I don't have to manually lock it again (or wait for my long timeout). If I want to use my phone I just put a finger over the sensor when waking the screen and it allows me to unlock like normal.
BT wakes display
On my Z3 Compact, after phone connects to car bluetooth /BMW professional/ it everytine turn on screen. My previous phone Z1Compact did not. After connected to car, the screen remained off. Is there any fix for this waking screen caused by connection between phone and car BT? Thank You for any answer
While my watch is a calisto 100, Im going to assume for the sake of assuming things that for the most part, all of these watches have this quirk.
I got the watch a few days ago just to see if It could replace my gear. And it sorta did. I also wanted to toss some music on it/ spotify for jogging/etc.
First Thing i noticed was my bluetooth headset would connect and then promptly disconnect. I noticed if i turned off phone audio and only enabled media audio, it would last a bit longer... random...sometimes a whole song..sometimes 10 seconds....etc.
To troubleshoot I started out knowing that if phone audio was unchecked i could at least connect and listen for a few seconds or minutes.
So I started there, wifi off/data on/ bluetooth on. still would randomly disconnect..I then wrote a little app to grab the bluetooth wakelock to see if that was what the deal was...No dice..it stays awake in sleep mode. I then put the watch in sports mode to see if there was any difference..keeping the hardware awake... No dice..same thing....So then I disabled the data connection and low and behold ..the headset stays connected.
as soon as i enable data...the disconnects randomly happen.. Im assuming again that the fact i can go 10 minutes or 30 seconds or 15 minutes and 10 seconds...or whatever random amount has something to do with the radio transmitting and receiving.
Anyone have a second to duplicate anything ive done here....
The other variable is that I am running on tmoble, so no 3g.. good old edge...I have not gotten desperate enough yet to toss in an att simcard to see of radio on in 3g mode with bluetooth works well ..so thats another variable here.
I have not the faintest idea why phone audio crashes the bluetooth driver..but it does..and requires a reboot

Excellent troubleshooting. What batch/firmware do you have? I don't use sim/data on this so I'm couldn't replicate your observation just yet.
However, days after I got this, I tried bluetooth connection on 2 different BT speakers (Monster and Supertooth) --no disconnects even on screen off. There was a millisecond gap when screen turned off but that's it, music just kept on playing. Maybe the latest firmware already have some BT fixes. Dunno but glad BT music streaming works for me. I have yet to try it on my Backbeat Go2 BT headset.
I have 4th batch 1/8 2100
Kernel: 3.4.5
Firmware: Omate_Truesmart_20140513.103530_V2.0
I love the feature to mute the phone when the watch is paired, because the vibration gets to me each time, and I don't need the phone ringing.
The issue however, is when I put my watch down for charging every night, then I won't be able to hear any calls or messages.
Is there a way for the phone to unmute when the watch is charging? or not in hand?

I´m waiting for a tasker integration to do this, and autodisable the turn-on-screen-gesture by turning your wrist while I´m sleeping.
I don´t know nothing like this at this moment
Hello everyone,
I'm going to buy Verge but I have some doubts. I hope you will help me:
1. I know that in lite version You can't control music during active training. But what about "not lite" Verge version? Am I able swtich between training and music control? Or at first turn on music (mp3 on watch itself) and then start training?
2. Am I able to control Spotify app on smartphone?
Best regards,
Lukasz
1. Only if you use AV2P Bluetooth headphones, as latest Chinese firmware for Verge, there is no music control during activities like the one available for Pace/Stratos;
2. Yes, if you enable Music control in Amazfit Watch app and you keep the phone with you and connected to the watch, of course. But, again, you cannot control music this way during sports activities.
Verge isn't the best option for sports:
1. Battery life is shorter if compared to Pace/Stratos mainly due to AMOLED display, what also makes it harder to read outdoors during the day unless you use maximum brightness;
2. It is all plastic and IP68 (although I doubt it due to the openings for both mic and speaker);
3. Custom straps are hard to find because it does not use an standard format, although they have the quick-release mechanism.
Thx for reply.
Yes but I can play music before trening start, and this is OK for me (I got Verge since friday). I made 2 trainings and for now only drawback is brightness, it could be better. But I run at evening mostly.
I found some offers for straps on Ali, and I am wating for delivery.
Generaly I am realy happy. Verge is not perfect but if You consider price/value ratio it is best choise im my opinion.
What the heck, Huami? And I thought I was doing something wrong or overlooking something. Why would you not make music controllable on the Verge during an activity when it is possible on Stratos / Pace?? That's frustrating.
I got weird interrupts when playing music over BT while running with GPS on and using Polar BT HR band. Every 20 to 60 seconds the music has little pauses. This happens with MPow DS6 headphones. Has anyone else this?
