Introduction
We are PolyOS. We are legion.... Well, no not really, but we're a Custom ROM based off LineageOS 14.1, that's dedicated to bringing its users the best experience users want and need in terms of performance and stability. We have handpicked some of the most widely used features and integrated them into our ROM; but that doesn't mean we suffer in terms of performance, oh no! We have consistently been reported performing extremely well even after customisations, from all of our testers. Users love the quick, snappy interface and the limited, but useful features. We run the Qualcomm boost framework used by most OEMs in order to bring efficiency and quick response to the ROM. So what are you waiting for? Let's get PolyFied!

On this journey, we've been helped by many people, and we would like to profusely thank ALL of them for helping us out in one way or the other; here are the guys who've made this the ROM it is today
LineageOS-These guys did amazing work making their ROM buildable for all devices, and that's why we used them as their base, keep up the great work guys!
ColtOS & Rakesh Batra (This was the place from where I was inspired to create this ROM, without their commits and help, we would still be struggling to understand stuff) Thanks a lot guys!
DirtyUnicorns-Thanks a lot for the great features you implemented, and which we could add to our ROM
DotOS-Many thanks for clearing a few doubts of mine and making Themes and Colours clear to us, without you PolyOS wouldn't be beautiful.
XOSP-A huge thanks for the EXCELLENT Blur Personalisations you guys made, you make our ROM amazing to look at.
AospExtended-Without these guys' commits, I would never have figured out how apps work, big thanks for that as well.
Have we missed anyone? If so, we're extremely sorry, please PM us, and we'll correct it right away
A few notes from the developers....
This is a beta build, so there may be a few bugs lurking in there, please don't report them like it's the end of the world; in all likelihood, they're already known issues.
If you REALLY feel like reporting a bug, please accompany it with a logcat; if you don't know what that is, please learn before asking in the comments section; we prefer to keep it clean. Bugs without logcats shall not be entertained, and will be ignored.
The proper way to report a bug is a neat and concise explanation of the issue, followed by a logcat. Also, please report any kernel mods/magisk modules/xposed modules/non-supported theming or hacking/tampering with the source/ANYTHING AT ALL that differs from the instructions posted above, it may be a factor.
Do not insist that the devs solve your "issues" or "bugs", they are most likely solving them already.
Please be polite and respectful in the comments section, and refrain from annoying the devs/maintainers, they are already pretty annoyed about the bugs themselves; help us out here
And finally, please don't hesitate to ask us a question, we can be reached using the information in the "Contact Us" section below.

Yes, it supports Substratum as written in the thread title itself
I keep trying new buildings, but the result is always the same. Audio on call is very bad background noise, you can not transfer files from phone to PC, always return to the stock that now with xposed compatible and graviti box can implement all the features present in most of the mods rom. The only thing I miss and be able to activate the notification led and then for me the stock is perfect.

Well I'm sorry to hear that, perhaps you've got a bad network provider, as everything seems to be fine here. Also, MTP works perfectly for me.

Colour engine is the PA colour engine which enables changing the Device colour themes, Substratum can change a whole lot more, and we've got both of them, so happy themeing!

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP but now OMNI-ROM, brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| Omni-ROM | AOKP | ChaOS | Paranoidandroid | SlimROMs | Preludedrew | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

Omni based
This ro1 looks pretty nice. Well done.
look greats, downloading
look nice, i try it soon
downloaded. im trying roms, first it was omni(i changed in a few hours because i hated that i couldnt change icons on the quick settings menu) then beanstalk for a few days(it works great but battery was not so good so i decide to try another one). i just installed resurrection remix with gustavo cm 11 kernel and seems pretty good. then its Dirty Unicorns turn. Keep up the good work
Looks Promising !
Downloading. Will give it a try
Another awwesome kitkat ROM!
I like that all the customizations are in one place.
Lots of functionality and seems good battery life. Functions like Halo, AppBar, Active Display, Gesture Anywhere are all toggles so if you dont like those u can turn it off.
Awesome work guys!
Find bugs till now:
1. Notification\tiles doesn't close with back button
2. You have write mistake in settings word "Display" is actually written "Diplay" letter "s" missing
And you should include one file explorer in your rom for users that have not internet on start and have apps on device

Sorry should have rephrased. In pixel dust and pure Nexus, you are left with only pixel apps. I remember having duplicate apps made my phone feel clustered. I did disable them, but they would sometimes force close. It depended on the ROM.

You just delete the aosp apps and download Google ones from play store. But they will force close if you don't set them as default apps and they have correct permissions
E.g download Google phone and go into app settings. Under Google phone make sure it's set as default phone application

Stock recents, even with the latest mods, is one of my top three biggest pet peeves with Android. It's just horrible.
That's just my opinion though.
And this won't be the last time I bug the forum with Slim Recents request. I apologize in advance.
Slim Recents just really works well for me after I mod it so it's never expanded, and pops up on the left side and is a larger size.

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimisations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

Fingerprint gestures are working perfectly here. See above, you're not supposed to use a custom kernel:

I dunno, I just flashed EX 1.04-los kernel with no issues that I can tell so far, FP gestures are still working.
EDIT: Installing EX kernel hosed my V4A install, restored backup before EX with default PA kernel and V4A now working properly again.
EDIT 2: Did a reinstall of PA adding EX kernel right away, then after booting & setting up installed V4A and it works now with EX.

the volume buttons dont change the ring volume here, only changes the media volume
Gave this one a try. Just for general info - it comes with OPs' Destoyer kernel, it has a separate (still unlabeled) configuration section in settings but with only very few choices thus far, SELinux is set to permissive, it has FP gestures but no way in settings to turn off navbar (but editing build.prop works), and the default launcher is Launcher3. Also, there are no ringtones available or for notifications/alarm, and none of the system sounds were working (touch, screen locking, etc) despite being turned on in settings.
I don't use Google+ app so can't check that, and most other things I use set up normally, but what killed it for me is that V4A gives errors & can't install the driver, even though I set it up exactly the same way (Magisk module) as in Lineage 15/8.0 which works beautifully. Other than that it looks and performs very similar to our other 8.0 ROM Lineage, which I'm back on now.
I got viper4android working. I just installed magisk 14 and then flashed magnus opus with guitarhero build prop. Works great with play music. I confirm google+ will not install.

I mean I found this in the LOS 15 thread but havent tried this exactly yet....doesnt make 100% sense imo but gunna try it later :
" I use the Magisk module, so you need to be running Magisk (v14.0 currently):
- in Magisk/Download first choose to download (not install) the Viper4Android zip.
- in Magisk/Download next choose to install, when install finishes select Close (not Reboot).
- unzip the zip you downloaded and install only the main V4A apk (but not the io fix apk also in the zip).
- reboot, open the V4A icon, configure and it should work. "
Yeah, that's my usual method which worked well on Lineage 15 but not on AIM 8.0, but try it if you want. It seems redundant to flash the apk after the module, but otherwise you don't get the app icon, at least for me it's been necessary.
I found some info on Magnum Opus/etc but not sure which to download if that's indeed it:

is there have stable/tested root tool for this ROM ?

update:
I have already use Magisk got root successful. Nice. ^^
Did test this ROM and this is better than Oreo version; it is much like the smoothness of other Pie ROMs around (LineageOS, Bootleggers, ...).
The only (very minor) quirks I've faced so far is that the "nag" screen from phone app and messaging app like on the screencap (maybe due to having no GApps flashed; I'm using Nanodroid microG, which is lighter alternative for GApps), and the home screen won't wake the device (much like the LineageOS); otherwise, these won't bother me for my use and everything's working fine, including RILs, messaging, home screen functions, camera and video, and all. :good:

Nice load some screenshots please bro
Thanks.
1. There is support for updates OTA?
2. What is the camera here (stock or google camera port)?
I tried this rom in my j500f, still the recording app crashes whenever you play the recorded audio or r.screen just like in oreo (viper). Home button doesn't wake the device although it's good but i back to my previous rom again Btw, BIG thanks

Here you go...
Is casting working?
I installed it and noticed:
pros
1. The battery keeps excellent;
2. There is a built-in sound engine(AudioFX);
3. Many system settings.
Minuses
1. Performance is low (slows down the interface);
2. It seems to me that the brightness is not put on full.
3. The brightness slider from the notification panel has gone somewhere (I don’t know if I’m somewhere).
My phone J5 2015(j500h).
