Cricket ZTE Overture 2 possible root?

Ok so I got a new ZTE Overture 2 from Cricket and it's running Lollipop 5.1. I was wondering if the bootloader is unlocked, if so then can my phone be Rooted? I heard that you can root lollipop 5.1 with KingRoot but I don't want to try it yet until I know for sure that it's possible. If anyone else has done it and had success can talk please tell me. I have also heard that you can change KingRoot to SuperSU after you have rooted your phone with KingRoot. This way it takes away all the Chinese Stuff. So can anyone help me and figure out if it's possible? And BTW I just got it and it's on Basic Plan and it's 4G LTE.
I've tried rooting with Kingroot 4.5 and didn't work. Really wish it could be rooted..
just rooted my ZTE Overture 2 from Cricket with kingoroot now i'm looking for a rom , still no luck yet
How did you get it rooted????? Been trying for weeks with mine!
Yes, how did you get it rooted?? I think it has a locked bootloader so any root that is acquired will be lost once the phone is restarted.

PitPin found root! But he hasn't posted the code :(

So in an assist thread, PitPin talked about a vunerability in KitKat that could potentially give root, and in one of his posts he said that he reached userId:0. userId:0 is root privileges , however he hasn't been active in a long time . What I'm asking is that everyone contact him and anyone close to him so that he can post the code and/or app he used so that we can finally work on making some custom roms/recoveries.
just curious what is PitPin ? new root program ?
some other root method that didn't trip knox available on kitkat (for example) kingsroot than you can upgrade using flashfire to lollipop.

PitPin was a developer on the forums that was trying to figure out a way to access root privileges on the A variant of the Alpha. KingRoot wasn't able to root this variant, which is why most people steer clear of AT&T phones because of their restrictive nature

[HELP] Reliable root & install superSU and TWRP for LG G2 D80210b-TWN 32GB 4.2.2 ?

[HELP] Reliable root & install superSU and TWRP for LG G2 D80210b-TWN 32GB 4.2.2 ?
Hi all,
I read lots of threads here and have to resign to root my phone the hard way because :
• I tried Stump root, Towel root, the "clean" methods for people without a computer found here
• I don't want to use Kingo or iRoot because they install pups with the exploit
• I know going to Kitkat would be easier but my Taiwanese phone is used in Europe and doesn't receive OTA updates. I prefer Jelly Bean for the moment.
Would someone know of a reliable method to do it with my phones specs?
LG G2 D802
D80210b-TWN-XXX
4.2.2 stock kernel
Baseband M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190036
ioRoot looks good but my phone model isn't listed. If I can borrow a computer where the owner allows me to install drivers. I'll only have a limited access time of one hour. This it's vital for me to "succeed". I'm just trying to get some good advice before starting.
Thank you all.
Root using Kingroot and then replace kingroot with supersu. You don't need to have a computer to root your device.Your device have forum to look for support.
Hi Røbin,
Thank you for your reply and suggestion.
I used Kingo Root because the app package is smaller than KingRoot. It doesn't install any extra apps. I then changef the Kingo Root by following this procedure posted by MSalmanKhan17.

Both are correct. That's what I used on my g2 d801.

Can I root my phone

I'm new to this stuff, and I probably sound really stupid, but I have an LG G3 VS985 on Android 6.0, update 4CA that I want to root. Can someone please tell me if it's even possible to root it, and if so, please tell me what to do.

[THREAD CLOSED] root?

I really want to root my lg g8x mainly to install viper4android to get a tiny bit better quality out if the device speakers. Ive searched everywhere and can not for the life of me find an actual method of rooting. Those one click root apps (ei: towelroot kingroot etc have NEVER worked for me on any device, let alone a relatively new one. If anyone has a method of rooting this device pointing me in the right direction would be very greatly appreciated
I don't think LG has released the .bin file to unlock the bootloader. With the bootloader locked, you cannot root just yet.
I too want to root and get out all the bloatware.
