Brother, it was all good of you to share the OTA link. But, one thing you should know is that, we at XDA do not upload content to make some money and hence these ad links are not allowed. If you really want to make some money then you can always add donation links to the OP. I suggest you to remove the ad link, otherwise this post could be turned down by Forum Moderators.

Right now on my a6000 plus m just getting a 292 mb update kraft A6000 s059 for which i have tried every way to intall but cant, so does installing this (s010) is a good idea?
Special edition means what does it mean...! the new feature or anything special...?
Nothing special but it has good battery and good camera no lags in this ui
Clarification:
There is nothing special about this ROM.
Most Android devices have a codename, Lenovo A6000 is also known as (depending on it's hardware version) Kraft/K-30T/A6000S/SE.
A6000 (Standard Model) is Kraft.
A6000 Plus is S and SE (Difference being: Dual SIM, 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal memory instead of 8).
K30-T is the Chinese variant of the regular A6000.
So once again, the ROM is not Special Edition, it is just another name for the A6000 Plus.
Hope this helped clarify that you posted the regular ROM for the A6000 Plus.
I'd appreciate a Thanks! thrown my way!
And please, will this run on A6000? Thanx.
Does anyone have full rom S012?

CMIIW but from what I know A6000 Plus (A6000-s) is 2GB RAM & 16GB internal storage and A6000 SE got the RAM halved but everything else same.
So it's like it's "special" from A6000 (1GB RAM & 8GB internal).
whether there kitkat os in lenovo a6000 SE ?
is there any newer version ROM of this ?

I Own Lenovo k5 plus (a6020a46 2 GB Indian variant). In India VoLTE is important for us, We have many Custom ROM thanks to
@scritch007, @Shreps and @Dreamstar, @Luiz Paulo Damaceno for kernels.
So it is polite request to all devs, please make VoLTE compatible with Custom ROM.
Here is captured OTA of VoLTE of device A6020a46 2GB
GDrive, Filedropper
Thanks to @brajesh143 for OTA
On Side Note, I extract zipped folder and there is file named 'NON-HLOS.bin.p' under firmware update folder.
I googled and found to enable VoLTE we need to flash 'NON-HLOS.bin.p' with fastboot , which I think is modem/radio.
I need expert advice on this.

Best for us would be a TWRP backup of your whole system and boot after the upgrade has been done. So we will be able to extract files we need.
We can't do many thing with the OTA (mainly because it's for a variant we don't own).
Thx.

Bro all nougat custom roms for vibr k5/k5 plus suppots volte now. But if your phone had no s105(for k5 plus)/s102(for k5) prior to installing any custom rom, you will not get volte. It's because s102/s105 has modem that enables volte in our phone. So after s105/s102 flashing custom rom will have volte enabled. I tried s102 on my k5..

No i mean the exact device with another branding
for example
Blu vivo 5 (in US and latin america) = Gionee s6 (in nigeria ,india , and china) = Condor A55 Slim (algeria and tunisia) = walton primo *** (in bengladesh) = qmobile z12 (in Pakistan)
So it is the same device , but in every region it is commercialized under a specific branding, and because regions aren't same , you will find one deffirence which is the base band, so if you flash blu vivo 5 with indian gionee s6 firmware you will get "no network/ no sim cards" , that's the only deffirence
Blu vivo xl is gionee s plus , condor p8 ...check our facebook page we have roms for it ported by me

Should I delete the folders off the phone after flashing, or remove from the zip file? If I need to remove from a zip file, which one? I need to read a bit more.
Also, do you extract the contents of the patch zip file and put it in the rom zip or do I flash both?
Lastly, will it work if I flash from Lollipop stock directly to Nougat or do I need to use this guide to upgrade to Marshmallow first?

The easiest way is to flash the rom , and once it finishes flash the patch.
For advanced users , copy system and boot from patch and paste them in the rom ( replace when you ask to), then go to etc/ in the rom and delete firmware and mddb folders, and paste your firmware and mddb folder , now you have a rom for blu vivo 5 , flash only that rom and you(re ready to go ...
if you're on lollipop , you need to flash marshmallow firmware to besure that the rom works fine , i'm not surethat it will work directly on top of lollipop

Well. I've already followed this tutorial to get Marshmallow stock on my phone and will soon have your ViperOS installed. I have also flashed your TWRP. I'm just waiting on the ROM to download.
My internet has been acting up all day.
Wipe anything?
When flashing through TWRP, should I wipe anything from the device?
Should I wipe the Dalvik/Cache after flashing?
I'm currently making final changes.

Thank you.
I bootloop after flashing.
After flashing the ROM, followed by the patch for my BLU Vivo 5, I reboot.
I am greeted with the BLU logo then it bootloops back after a black screen. I am currently reverting back to stock 6.0.
What am I doing wrong?
I flashed w/o the patch, still bootlooped.
Wiped after flashing, still bootloops.
The issue is obviously in the ROM itself..
i don't know the reason why , other roms worked very well ?, i mean only this bootlooped ?
this is weird ..are you sure you installed it the right way ? and what's the previous firmware version installed

After bootlooping, I tried to install Resurrection Remix. I bootlooped on that too.
I fixed it on RR though and the same issue was probably present here.
I used ES File Explorer to copy the mmdb and the firmware folders.
The issue was that the copied files were not complete or corrupted
After using a different root explorer and copying the files, I gone to TWRP and copied the files. Now I have the complete/non-corrupted mmdb and firmware folders.
I'm sure this fix works on ViperOS as well. It was 100% my error and not at all to do with you.
I assumed since I tried to use w/o flashing the patch that the ROM was messed up, but when vgeohn mentioned on your RR post that it bootloops w/o flashing the patch. I found that was the issue.
One question. I am currently running the out-of-date version of RR. Should I flash the updated ViperOS or keep RR? I want your recommendation.
And how do I update RR? Do I need to wipe then flash, or is there another way to flash? I prefer to not have to re-download all my apps.
i think you should stay on viper it is more fast and smooth
by the way here is a zip so you can flash mddb and firmware using twrp, just put your mddb and firmware in the etc folder of the zip
and flash it after every rom
here is the zip --> Download
if you can reapload it so people can use it directly

Does the mmdb and firmware folder only define the besebands or is my IMEI in there? I don't want that getting loose.
And that patch is universal for all of your roms that are recent? (RR, XOSP, Lineage, AOSP Extended)
And to upgrade do I have to wipe my apps or is there a way to keep them?
Bug report for RR (the original, but any updates):
Photoscan by google is not working. Just try, it's hard to explain
Google camera does not work if you are using a version that requires Android 7.0 or 7.1.
On google camera for Android 6.0, the video recording does not work at all. It crashes instantly.

You can just boot up and use your phone from there, but to get safetynet and some more gaaps, I personally flashed Gapps aroma with a config to not get useless apps. Then, I flashed the latest Magisk beta and a safetynet patch.

Everything is Working as it should and don't forget to download my TWRP 3.1.1.0 ver before trying to flash this. I'll be regularly updating this when a new update comes out. No official lineageos for our device and also for most of the mtk devices. They need patches to get the lineageos working so the device individual devs itself manage the rom. In our device's case I'm the dev and lineageos already booted but having some bugs and I'll fix them. You can expect both nougat and oreo roms within a month or 2 that is stable.

It will never work for us as TWRP builder already has a barebone twrp in it and it just copies files from stock but the twrp it contains is built from android version 5.1.1. I already made twrp for K8 Plus wait a bit longer trying to fix encryption too. I mean no need to format data after installing twrp. so it is taking time

Hello everyone,
We all know that Redmi 5A(riva) officially shifted with Android Nougat and it got good development with various custom roms. Later riva got Android Oreo update and users who were flashing custom rom at the top of oreo firmware was facing bootloop or several issues if it boots.
To prevent such issues, i enforced Nougat Firmware V10.1.1.0.NCKMIFI and it will be necessary to flash that firmware before flashing the rom (once only) else it will show error. Currently, Lineage OS 16.0 comes with enforced firmware and upcoming rom will have that too!
Note : Users who are on MIUI Oreo and if they want to rollback to nougat firmware for flashing custom rom, they are required to flash nougat fastboot rom or follow this post .

Just flashing nougat fw from recovery won't work, flash is from miflash tool or follow the post and if you want to upgrade it to oreo fw then you can directly flash from recovery or flash from miflash tool.
