Hi, I'm past due for a new phone (my galaxy note 5 is 2 1/4 years old now and FEELING like it) and the Mate 10 Pro is looking like a good option (I can get it on my preferred carrier for a price I'm happy with), but before I pull the trigger I'm hoping some Mate 10 Pro owners out there can answer some questions for me. Thanks!
I really prefer as close to stock android as possible (currently rooted running pixel launcher as a system app, material theme, google dialer, messenger etc. etc. etc.) so I want to make sure I can get a similar experience with the Mate 10 Pro.
1. Is anyone running pixel launcher on their Mate 10 Pro? If so, how do you find it?
2. How does google assistant go on the Mate 10 Pro?
3. Can I theme the phone to a stock, material look?
I will be rooting so any cool stuff to flash yet, or still too early?
Cheers!
Hello,
Don't know for the first question but:
Google assistant works perfectly and if you root mate 10 pro you will be able to have a stock experience for sure.
Regards
Does the Mate 10 Pro have USB 2.0, 3.0, or 3.1 with its USB-C port?

3.1
Pixel launcher should be available on apkmirror.com or use nova launcher and get the prime version and you can make it look exactly like the pixel launcher with more options. There should be EMUI themes on the play store that work. The Mate 10 Pro comes with a dark theme.

I know the title seems a bit confusing, but I will explain: I have 2 smartphones with VMOS installed. In one of them, I already downloaded some apps and created some settings that were perfect !!! As I wasted a lot of time doing this, I backed up this ROM already prepared and I wanted to take this backup to the other smartphone, so I wouldn't have to do it all over again on the other smartphone. Would it be possible to carry out this action? Thanks for all the help !!!
Hello friend, Could you do it? because I have the same needed but I have not idea of how to do it. Thanks for your support.

Already tried it. Backed up my VMOS Android 9.0 ROM on my RM 6S Pro Android 11. Recovered on my POCO X3 Pro Android 12. The VMOS ROM opens but only displays the wallpaper with three navigation buttons below. It does not show the icons on the desktop nor can you pull the app drawer. Launching an app will only display a white screen.
Hi, everybody!
I am wondering if it is possible to somehow install the Google Mobile Services on the Mate 40 Pro Plus. I am pretty sure I have read it somewhere but I just can't find it anymore.
As far as I remember I have read that running the Google apps is possible on said phone as it is a Chinese version (obviously not released anywhere else in the world). Is this true? Is it possible to run GMS on a Mate 40 Pro+ and if that's the case is there any tutorial on how to do it?
Thanks in advance!

I bought chinese version, not indian.
While I know it is not exactly what you asked - I have just switched Vivo's launcher (which is good) to Microsoft's Launcher. It works very good and looks pretty good IMHO. It just annoyed me so much that Vivo's "smart launcher" is Chinese only.
(Badges are possible there)
HI guys, I am a fan of Poco Launcher, but since Android 12 there hasn't been much luck for me to use it in my devices. Today i found a YouTube Video from Karan Arora (https://www.you****.com/watch?v=y4AoXLWRxeY) that has an actual Poco Launcher that works on my S23 and I love it, The thing is, how can i keep this Launcher updated? as Poco Launcher has a lots of updates since the version he posted. I wasn't aware there was any custom build or any build that i could use, but now i have hope. Do you have a clue of what specific versions of the Poco Launcher can be installed on other than Poco phones?
