Hi there,
Anyone have a list of active Kernels for 7.0?
Battery is draining fast, but I'm new to this phone; not sure what's new or old on here.
Looking for battery saving kernel

Hi folks, this is my first post so go easy on me if it's in the wrong place
I've been researching custom roms/kernels for hours today & yesterday, but need more advice. I initially had my sights set for cyanogenmod as it seems to remove most of samsung's bloatware, I love the minimal look and I'd like to have a pure android UI, but I've read so many posts on various sites now that it kills battery life.
So now I'm very interested in VillainRom 3.0 as this seems very stable and I think removes many of samsung's less than necessary apps & processes. Villain comes with the Ninphetamine 2.0.5 kernel, but is this the best combination? Could I flash a different kernel after installation to find better results for speed, stability & battery life? The CF-root, speedmod and Tiamat (withSuper Battery Charger) kernels all sound very promising...
I'd still like to use cyanogenmod if anyone can shed light on getting it running well, especially if the latest nightly is stable-ish with good performance.
I'd be interested to hear any other recommendations for battery saving roms, I'm aware it's a very subjective subject, but what I'm mainly looking for is increased battery life, stability and a reduction of unnecessary apps/processes (suppose this goes hand-in-hand with battery saving). And I don't mind quite a plain UI, I think the standard android without extra themes is quite stylish.
Thanks for reading!
Here are my phone details:
Samsung Galaxy S2 - GT-I9100
Android Version 2.3.5
Baseband - I900XXKI4
kernel - 2.6.35.7-I9199XWKJ1-CL647431 [email protected] #2
firmware -PDA:KJ1 / PHONE:KI4 / CSC:KJ1 (O2U)

PS. I just read that SavagedZen kernel works well with CM7+, is this kernel designed for phones with a battery expansion? can it be installed after CM or is it included?
Thanks again for reading
ok i went with the latest CM nightly build, so far so good. Gonna start a new thread as this one is no longer about the villainrom
hello,
iam switching between samsung rom and aosp roms lately and the battery life keeps me wondering.
using a custom kernel and slimbean (ie.) the battery life rly improved compared to a few months now, but WIFI takes still more battery compared to samsung roms.
is that normal? any advises for that? ive exactly the same apps and 0 wakelocks cause of other apps (everything tweaked rly).
but still WIFI takes 1,5%/h on an aosp rom.
any experiences on that?
what are ur results?
I'm on CM 10.1 and the wifi consumes more battery for me either. but I'm not much bothered about it 'cause i charge the battery whenever needed.

HI,
I just desired to know what is your take to be your preferred everyday rom for xperia x10.
I am surely looking for one; preferably jb or ics rom who's got low battery drain.
Any tips are welcome and appreciated
And i am a casual gamer so no hardcore gaming ability is required. Moreover i already have nova launcher so nothing fancy is required as well
thanks.
Hi - I'm using BlissRom 4.0.1 on my S3. It looks great.
My battery drains fast though - and nothing much is coming up in Betterbatterystats.
Anyone use any Kernels that improve battery?
Thnx!

Hi there,
I have recently started flashing new ROMs into my old Motorola X Play. At the moment, i am using Lineage OS 14.1 but i feel like my battery's draining faster. So i am looking to switch to another ROM possibly with better battery life. I wanna know which ROM is the most stable and used one for lux devices. I have looked up on other websites and a lot of them say Lineage/RR/Viper but i want to know which is best for battery life. If there's a way to stop a fast battery draining issue, that would be helpful as well. Thanks!
