Ringtone sounds metallic - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I've upgraded to the Mate 10 Pro from the Mate 9 and it really is a great phone, my main problem is with the ringtone.
It sounds very metallic! When I play a song with the music player it sounds just great, but when I use it as ringtone it sounds very metallic and really bad, anyone knows why or how to fix it?
Thanks.

Hi,
Install an app like zedge for example and choose another ringtone.

This is exactly the problem, when I use a ringtone downloaded from Zedge, it just sounds metallic.
Only the default ringtones that came with sound ok, but they're not really songs so it's hard to hear if they also sound metallic or not.

I tried and in fact, some ringtones sound a bit metallic
EDIT : i tried with a mp3 and it's not metallic anymore. Maybe a problem with zedge or codecs...

Go to settings, sound, hit menu, then switch to list view. Music effects should now show under Volumes.

You need to have 2 or more music effect apps installed for it to even become an option. Otherwise it will just use MusicFX and you won't see the music effects option under sounds.
well that explains why i had it with my first phone when i installed sony music app and beats audio

[Q] Where is Settings>Sound>Music Effects?

So I was about to install Viper4Android, and the guide told me that I should enable it on Settings>Sound>Music Effects. The problem is that I am searching for the Music Effects tab in options and I dont find it! I find the Volume control and the Ringtones, and Audio Exit, but not Music Effects! So, whats the problem?
Is something that comes with the Sammy 4.3 Firmware? Because I think so.

Dude, it means the option tab in Viper, not of the device...

Please read the V4A forum .
If you do not have the Music FX apk then you will not see music effects .
Well thank you! I was confused because I didnt see the Sound Settings in the Viper App neither, and I thought it was in the Samsung Settings. A bit stupid of me:silly:
Also, I actually have the Music FX app in the app list, but even then I cant see the option in the Sound Setting in Samsung...might check the Viper options again and find those sound settings...

How to use custom notification sounds to the LG V30?

How do I add and use custom notification sounds to the LG V30. I don't like any of the stock notification sounds. Thanks
Try this, for the notification sound, place the sound in /sdcard/Notifications (create new folder if it not exist). For ringtones, in /sdcard/Ringtones.
Hope it works, cause it works in mine.
Thanks

Did you reboot? Mine didn't recognize the new tone (for an alarm) until I rebooted the phone.
Perhaps rebooting is necessary for the OS to scan and repopulate the media. If it works you dont have to install 3rd party app, since android should already give you this basic feature. Screenshot of mine attached.

Worked great but be patient after rebooting: changes appeared a few minutes later in my LG V30. Thanx Hikku13.
