all my phones have been lg but this one is pretty terrible imo. My GPS does not work not even the 3 pin method or the copper mesh, it finds 0 satellites. The screen burn is extremely noticeable for me and the body has a crack line near the camera. def not worth 800 back then. Any other gps fix other than the ones i mentioned above that really is what breaks this phone for me as sometimes i really need gps to get around
Try replace the back cover with a new original one. (That should fix GPS)
for the screen burn use the app "bluelight filter", choose the orange color and put it between 7-10 percent.
After 5-10 mins you should see big improvement with the burns.

Picked up a grey 32GB at Best Buy yesterday. Got home, charged and then connected to my wireless: Netgear WNDR4500. It connected but said I was at -1mbps. Minus? Reset the router, restarted the tablet/computer/dsl gate/etc. Still -1mbps.
I remembered where the antenna was from Anand's teardown so I moderately thumped it with a flick of my finger (like playing paper football with the triangles). As soon as I did BAM! 65mbps! Seriously? Should I keep this thing or take it back?

might as well keep it...it'll be under warranty if it goes again....and you never know if there's more stock available.
It shouldn't revert again most likely since if the pogo pin antenna thing was stuck in the down position it is now in the up position with no way of being pushed down again.
I concur

I would carefully evaluate the unit to make sure EVERYTHING else works to your satisfaction: audio, haptic feedback, screen quality (not too yellow, good colors, solid text), GPS (to whatever extent it matters to you), microphone, touchscreen, etc.
If everything checks out, then consider keeping it. I'm faced with the same sort of decision myself. I have three sitting in my house that I'm trying to decide between (or return all of them and get a different one entirely, or even just give up):
1. Great screen (excellent temp, great colors, very solid text) except for one stuck pixel, decent haptic feedback, but a vibration from the speakers at full volume, non-functional GPS, weaker wifi.
2. Good screen (a little warmer than #1, colors are good but not as much detail, text decent but not as sharp) but a little light bleed, great GPS (locks quickly to many satellites indoors, as many as 12/14 outdoors), stronger wifi, but broken haptic feedback and stains on the backplate that I can't remove.
3. Horrible screen (whites are a dingy yellow, color is washed out, text is pixellated), non-functional haptic feedback, good audio, good GPS and wifi.
All three are BCs and 0214 hardware builds. #3 is clearly going back, but with #1 and #2 I have to choose between the best screen I've seen on a Prime and the rest that's wrong with it. Not an easy choice--I can see details in images on its screen that I can't see on #2.
My point? As Forrest Gump would say, you never know what you're gonna get. If you return the one you have, you run the risk of getting one with more of a problem.

Peoples warranty experiences with asus have been less than satisfactory, not to mention they make you pay freight.

Admittedly off topic but did you buy these all from 1 place? We are clearly in different leagues as I would not have the balls to return three of these to the same vendor not to mention explaining the $1500 in charges to the credit card to compare screen colors to my wife.
Could be the pogo pins... if the SN starts with BC0CK it has bad hardware probably
Last night all was well. It is a BC but I've not heard/read any bad BC stories unlike some bad C stories.
It was working perfect till I spilled a tiny bit of tomato sauce near it, luckily it had a plastic back protector on it but a few drops went into headphone jack so bought a replacement one and screwed it in.
This is when the problems started so I assume it is just a case of loose screws, I sent it for warranty repair though and they refused to replace claiming the insides had severe water damage(despite the water sensor stickers looking normal and every other thing in phone working)
They put a gps test app on and no matter if indoors or outdoors I got 0 signal, I took back off and put a spray of compressed air on the top of the motherboard and lifted the metal tab a little that presses down now indoors I get 0-4 pickedup but the signal is about 19, and outdoors get about 18-20 but the signal is at 39 which is good enough really but I assume it should be better as my friends Sony Xperia has a strong GPS signal in my house and outdoors.
Just wondered what the issue could be, it may be the motherboard as the only other issue I have had since the spillage is instead of a 2 hour charge time it takes about 6 hours but the battery still lasts as long as before(a week or so)
Let me start by saying that i bought this phone only 3 days ago and these are the problems I've found with it.
1. The Second screen back light issue. This is a common problem among many lg v10 users as i have noticed, and i have that same problem too. to the extreme left of the second display it is brighter than the rest but only when it is off. I do not find this very annoying since i do not use the second display for reading my notifications while it is off. i mostly use it when the screen is on
2. In addition to that, the power button/ fingerprint scanner combo is completely garbage, as in the actual clicking. the button seems loose and when i click it, it squeaks. Also, when i run my finger up and down the power button it wobbles and has the same annoying squeak.
3. The charging port is loose. Not so much that the cable could slide out not in that axis, but it moves side to side freely and up and down. this worries me because i think that if i put too much pressure on the cable the port could break somehow.
4. The steel bezels are nice and stuff but the gaps, are uneven at the bottom left, the metal bezel is like bent and you can easily see through it. also at the back when you pop in the cover it seems like it doesn't align with the bezel. but that might just be my ocd lol
This phone in my opinion is great the best phone I've had. but its just that these things are what let me down. This phone is great but they absolutely ruined it with the quality control. note* my batch is from January 15, 2016
U probably just got a bad one. Sometimes, they make it thru the quality control somehow. I would return it until u get the one ur satisfied with.

Yeah I think I should but I'll wait until the weekend and decide if I should change it.
Probably a good idea. The flaws won't change. I have the lightbleed on the 2nd screen, but I never notice unless it's absolutely pitch black where I am and the screen is off. It doesn't annoy me tho.

I like the phone, maybe I love it. I have the same problem with the residual light on the left of second screen. (phone batch 26 Oct.2015) But, what I dislike the most:
1. The lack of a LED on the front.
2. The second screen, about my opinion is useless until then a developer create an xposed apk for a flashing light on second screen when I loose a call.
3. The fingerprint sensor is useless too for me.
4. Volume of the speaker is not too loud.
But, I like the size and the shape of the phone. It is a catch eyes everywhere I go. Benchmarks are very good for a Snapdragon 808. The screen is very fluid. And the most, the camera and his software are great; you believe or not I compared in photoshop pictures from an expensive Sony semiprofessional DSLR camera with photos made with my V10 and the overall quality are quite the same. It's the best phone I ever had (and I had a lot of top level androids)
I don't want to change it, even on a G5!

The light bleed is a common issue, but everything else sounds like your phone was assembled incorrectly, you should exchange it
Okay so today I was wondering if I could find any more nit picky problems and noticed that the back cover did not sit flush with the buttons and that if I pushed it down it became flushnot a big issue but it bugs me when I'm turning up the volume or turning on the phone

Well I exchanged a week ago and now that the time limit to return it is over, it cracked, not from a drop. It just cracked by itself there is a small hair line crack right by the metal rail and if is so annoying I paid good money and I take care of my phones well even if this was made to be tough. It cracked while I was in the car waiting for someone and then out of no where I heard a little pop and I thought nothing about it but after I finished watching the video I noticed it and got so scared I was like"did I drop it" but I did not idk how it managed to break I haven't dropped my phone yet and it just cracked out of nowhere
So a couple things but my main issues is maps. I haven't found anyone with this problem yet. When driving the navigstion marker is constantly pausing. Maps is not freezing however. The marker just stops and stays stopped for like 5 seconds then catches up and tracks me for 1 second or 2 then stops again.
Another issue I've noticed as I have called for a replacement(I actually have had to call twice and have three lg g5's in front of me) is that when I got my first replacement the screen seemed kind of dull compared to my original. When I put the two next to each other i realized that it wasn't that it was dull but a bit yellowish. My original reason for wanting the phone replaced was because of maps, the button to eject the module was not flush and stuck out at an angle and the module piece itself was offset. This phones button and module piece were fine and so I called again and they sent out another one. This thrid phones screen has the same issues as well as the original issues from my first phone. I spent an hour making sure all the settings were the same and even ruined my screen protector by taking it off to make sure all phones were under similair conditions. I'm now not sure what to do. Should i call them up and ask them to send out a fourth one? This is becoming insane.
Would you have noticed the yellow tint if you did not have another sitting next to you? I noticed my battery eject button looked a little crooked when I read your post and pushed on it a bit and now it is flush.

M8, internet is filled with people having issues with G5. Before you say S7 fanboy i have mine pre-ordered already.
All these issues are making me want to cancel my order and wait for something else. I really want to give LG the benefit of the doubt but everytime i open up a webpage regarding G5, there is always someone having an issues of some sort.
I am beginning to think that all this QC issues are actually true and LG really dropped the ball with G5.
As for you question, Return it !! All these faulty units are being floated between customers without them being sent back to LG and thats why you will never get a perfect unit. Wait for something like Nexus 7 or HTC/sony heck even Mi5 Pro if you can get ur hands on one.

Probably not. However, after seeing it I can tell without comparing it to another device. I had my friend come in and randomly show me one of the devices at a time and everytime I could pick out the yellowed ones. They also don't get as bright, it's not significant however. I feel that you wouldn't notice it until you see somone else's device. Then after that it will be all you can see. In the morning I'm going to test them to see if they also have the screen bloom and backlight bleed. If so then that just might be another side effect of the bad screens.
Ray,
I honestly wouldn't worry. The only place I see these problems being dicussed is here and it's not even a flood of people. It's pretty minor conpared to how many people probably have these devices in hand already. I still love this phone despite these problems. In fact, it's so far my favorite phone I've had in a while.
I bought a Xperia XZ1 around 2 months ago; it has been a pretty good device, and I would take it over my old Oneplus 3 any time. However, I've been having some issues with the display; diagonal lines seem to cover the entire display, and the lines are very obvious on bright colors(white especially) and skin tones. From an average distance, it's not too noticeable, but it gets pretty obvious when close up(not in your face close, but lying on the bed close). It obviously makes the screen look textured and lose its sharpness because of that. I'm thinking about trying to get a screen replacement, and seeing if this fixes the issue, but I was wondering if there was any way to fix it without having to replace the whole display? Thanks.
It's normal. Afaik every xz1 has those tiny lines (mine does)
hmm.. normal I doubt it.. as I don't have any.. run the service test... *#*#7378423#*#*
