So after the lastest big Win 10 update a couple things got messed up on my pc and today i have discoverd that one of them is fastboot mode. I connect my phone to the pc, the blue led is on but when i try to flash TWRP there is just <waiting for any device>. In device manager there is S1Boot Fastboot and it says that the drivers are not installed. Do you know where i can find the drivers?
EDIT: Nevermind, i figured out. I had to turn off windows's driver signing and install the driver again.

Hello,
This must be a dumb question because all the guides seem to skip over this part but I'm having trouble installing the Windows 7 drivers. I downloaded the drivers, connected via USB, right clicked on the Android 1.0 in the device manager and updated the drivers. Everything seemed fine. Then I boot into fastboot and get a "Drivers were not installed successfully" pop-up.
I thought maybe I messed up and was supposed to install the drivers while in fastboot rather than while the phone was all the way booted up. So I rebooted the phone, uninstalled the drivers, booted in fastboot and tried to install the drivers while in fastboot. When I try it this way I right click on Android 1.0 in the device manager, go to the update driver option, select my file (there are two files in the driver folder I downloaded, androidusb and htcrndis, I tried them both) and I get an error before it can finish installing the driver. It says:
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error when trying to install it:
HTC Remote NDIS based Device
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I'm sure it's something simple but I cant figure it out. Thanks for any help.
Hello, I'm having tons of trouble getting the drivers to work on my computer. When the phone is on and plugged in, the HTC drivers seem to be okay. When I boot into fastboot, the drivers stop working. I try to manually update the drivers (have the 64-bit drivers downloaded) while in fastboot but it doesnt work. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help.
Try using the command and reboot bootloader to force fastboot, if its a driver problem it will still not work, make sure you have your terminal in the asb or SDK folder as well, if it still won't connect ill offer another fix
Im running Win8 on my PC and want to S-OFF with Racoon. But the drivers in the Racoon Websites are not working with Win8
Any help ?
You need to uninstall all existing drivers and software of your phone from your pc.
You also need to disable driver enforcer signature on your pc.
Then boot your phone Into bootloader and select fastboot, connect your phone into your pc and it should appear on your phone as fastboot usb, nothing will appear on your computer because it has no drivers.
You need to go to device manager on your pc and you would see android 1.0(make sure your phone is still connected).
You need to manually install drivers for it which could be found here( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998650 )
After you successfully install it, everything should work fine and your pc should recognize it on adb or fastboot
i had a fresh install of windows 7, evn prvsly i was on windows 7 and somehow i had managed to install all drivers for xperia p
but after this fresh install i am unable to go to fastboot , somehow i installed flashmode drivers

what do i do ? evn in device manager when i update it doesnt find any software.. when windows try to install s1boot fastboot drivers it shows not installed
where m i wrong? please help me
I think i had that same problem too, and took me some time to find the right answer, it is probably windows that won't install unsigned drivers, so try reboot, and press F8, and allow installation of unsigned drivers, though i just wrote a CMD code at that page i visited, but i can't find it now lol.
Well try here http://www.techspot.com/community/t...signed-drivers-in-windows-vista-7-x64.127187/
pda net
try to install pda net app on ur pc
if this dont work than open device manager
and plug ur phne in fastboot mode
on device manager ut show s1 fastboot somthing like that just for 5 sec
hurry and double click on that
after that update driver
select browse my computer for driver software
after that select let me pick from a list of device
after that click on android device
and click on next and ur driver is installed
but first install pdanet on ur pc
For whatever reason fastboot on my PC (win10) doesn't detect my phone, adb detects it fine when it's in recovery or booted normally, I cannot send fastboot commands as it says waiting for device. I've tried a few things like the LG Mobile Driver and a universal driver but it still isn't working. Any ideas?
Just to clarify I am in Fastboot mode when trying this.
Edit: Also tried the Google USB drivers from the SDK manager, didn't make a difference
I ended up simply doing it on an Ubuntu installation. Works perfectly on there, not sure why Win10 doesn't work though.
My problem is solved.
