I have the Note 8 and its lockscreen doesn't rotate, it stays locked in Portrait mode. But, my Tab S3 rotates?
I looked in settings and couldn't find any switches for it.
Darn good question. Looks like Samsung, in their infinite wisdom, left out the advanced section in settings, display where you could lock or unlock screen rotation.

Should be available as a quick tile setting.

Can't really customize the lock screen on Samsung's touchwiz. You can disable the ripple effect in settings>security>lockscreen.. can't remember the exact location of it.. but it's in security options. You can also edit the shortcuts on the lockscreen, add a weather widget, etc.,
Is there anyway to use a jellybean unlock theme?
You can search play store for lockscreen apps like widgetlocker, lockbot, etc...

In ICS 4 shortcuts are the max you can add and in JB it's 5.
Go to settings>Security>Lock screen Options> click on shortcuts.

I thought that was only a on/off option in shortcuts
Thank you very much
Hi,
How do you make it so that you can have the same animated background on the lockscreen as the homescreen?

I use dynamicnotifications from the play store. It has a option to use the home screen wallpaper as the lockscreen wallpaper. So just set a live wallpaper on your home screen and it will show up on the lockscreen also. FYI only the paid version allows you to use that option. It cost me 1.99usd

I'm using 4.2 and can't seem to enable wallpaper for home screen+ lockscreen together. Is this option available on 4.3? Also for those using 4.3, are the on-screen ringer/notification, expandable volume buttons included? I can't understand why they would remove these...
1. Set the homescreen wallpaper from the gallery
2. Set the lockscreen wallpaper from the personalization menu
??? I can't see the problem?

That would work with still images... If one runs a live wallpaper, you're forced to use a still image over the lock screen... There's little things that they have seemed to tweak, such as when using day dream / photo frame, the ability to choose individual photo folders, instead of every image in the device...
Oh, I have never seen a live lockscreen wallpaper. It's not a stock Android feature, but there might be something in the Play Store that allows you to do it.

Yea I'd use it all the time on my Samsung devices... & on CM roms. I can't find it anywhere I guess they removed the ability to do so... They're making it extremely difficult to remain un-rooted!
I am a fan of touchwiz and one of my favorite features found in touchwiz is the pull down menu. I haven't used the latest PA and don't know if it is implemented yet, but I would like to be able to adjust the brightness from the pull down like touchwiz.

we definitely will NOT be adding in a brightness slider into QS or notification drawer.

Thanks for the reply, but just wondering...was the status bar brightness slider ever part of this ROM in previous versions of Android?

Can I ask how come? What is the best way to adjust brightness with PA? every way seems much more effort than brightness slider on status bar

because its a couple more clicks away and im insanely lazy and i thought it was all about having less steps to be more productive? lol also you guys dont have the "swipe" on notification screen to get to quick settings which blows my mind even more than not having brightness sliders haha

funny that you said that and then said #stayparanoid haha. I'm staying for the recents and smoothness, ill survive without the others, just wondered if there was a logical explanation as to why those features were absent or if they were being implemented ever, all good, thanks!
Hi all, I'd like to know if there is some adb setting or app or mod that let me disable the quick setting menu on lock screen?
