I would stay away from it - it crashed my phone. I have horrible connectivity as it keeps dropping LTE for Searching for signal.

I installed Google Wallet and got everything set up, no issues there. But it says tap and pay not available?? Does anyone know if Google Wallet should be working with the GN3??

Your a little late..... There is already threads started on this. Yes tap and pay doesn't work on the N3. No we don't know when Google will update the app to fix this!
Yeah I realized I was late after posting this. I read a couple threads on the same thing. It amazes me that a latest and greatest phone suck as ours doesn't support features that have been around for a while now.

So you are blaming Samsung for something Google needs to fix?

No not blaming Samsung, just hard to believe something that worked on my GN2 doesn’t work on my GN3

How is it hard to believe? The software is maintained by Google. That is why software gets updates.

^^^^^^ Yes and as others have said in other posts the N2 didn't have it from day one. It took a few months. Likely after an update some time down the road it will work on our N3 also.
What's up guys,
Just picked up my N3 a few days ago, haven't had to time to tweek just yet so I'm currently stock/unrooted MJ4...noticed that each time I reboot this thing it cycles (reboot) twice before firing up. Anyone else experience this?
Thanks everyone in advance:thumbup:

I found some info in case anyone else is coming across this. Seems it's a somewhat common issue with no clear answer as to what's causing this.

Try (if available for your device) using Odin to flash back to stock. Been reported by a few that this has worked for them. Not sure if this actually fixed the issue or not but I booted into stock recovery, wiped the cache then rebooted and haven't had it happen since. Seems this is a common bug attached to stock 4.3 for a lot of folks.

Well, I never did it, but there should be some guides how to un-"brick" I think. Check here before despairing.
When anyone gets the update installed can you get a build number for us & kernel date?

I'll post back when my update is done. I just started it about one minute ago. I never rooted my G2, so I'm not really concerned about it bricking. It does say on my screen that it is currently updating software 1/2, so it appears that the update is two files.

Oh okay, anyway glad that you did not get a brick . I know its not your responsibility to write in the OP something like.
"Even though I am showing you a rooted phone before pressing or not pressing the update button. I am not gonna update because I am rooted. "
Maybe it could have saved problems for the other guy in here.
Anyway enough of the OT lets get some info about the update

I don't know about this phone, but on a couple previous phones you could do it by modifying the fingerprint in the build.prop to match the new update.

Yeah, I had to enable all disabled apps for this to work
Updated yesterday for me.
I updated mine, but I'm showing CVE-2015-3864 as still vulnerable.

I used an app called "Stagefright Detector" from the store. Takes about 5 seconds to run. There are 2 or 3 other apps in the store for this issue.
Or did you mean the update?
More importantly, did it break anything? I think I will wait a few days to see.
New to the Note 3, previously had a S3, rooted and ROMed, so this is a bit different for me.
Thanks,
Tommy
I don't think it broke anything, I was hoping to fix my light sensor with this upgrade but no. Ever since the Lollipop upgrade my light sensor sucks
