Can someone make this happen? Really want to keep this watch alive
The moto 360 v2 has the same chipset as other watches being updated, which is quite a list.
Lenovo has no excuses this time.

It seem that there are mostly the watch with the new Wear processor wich are updated (Snapdragon 2100) and not the old Snapdragon 400 no ?

Bit curious wheather moto 360 2015 will get the latest android wear 2.0 update?
I think that the hardware is capable to hadle it smoothly..
A bit early, but I would assume it would get it. Wouldn't be surprised if the original 360 got the update as well.

It's mostly just UI changes and the addition of new input modes since the Moto 360 doesn't support the speaker or cellular capabilities, so I don't see why we wouldn't get it.
I think we will get the update..I have seen the 360 2nd gen image on android 2.0 launch commercial.... Let's hope for the best...

It's suppose to receive the update, even the 1st gen as android wear is different from Android and the support by Google is much longer than the obviously 2 years update guaranteed. Also they choose Huawei Watch and LG Watch Urbane 2nd because they are brand new models instead of 2015's ones, just marketing reasons in my opinion
Yes it will!

Considering the 1st gen Moto 360 won't get 2.0, I think this one will.

Does anyone have any more info on 2.0?
I've got the first gen and was holding out for the new one, but since it looks like its not happening any time soon I am considering going for the 360 Sport.

That my friend, is just an emulated image. It all depends on Motorola.
There wont be moto 360 2016 so that means that motorola flagship smartwatch is still moto 360 2015 for whole another year and leaving it left behind is stupid idea and i dont see why would they do that, plus on almost all android 2.0 photos you can see moto 360 2015
Is there any information yet if Moto 360 will be getting wear 2.0?

Not a question of if, just a question of when. Five page thread about it here.
Does anybody know if there is a third generation Moto 360 in the works?
Nothing has been announced yet. If they are working on a v3 or a new model of smartwarch I would expect Moto to announce something in the fall around the time the new Nexus phones are announced.
Qualcomm confirmed that only SD821 will be compatible with Daydream view, but recently the Moto z(which has SD820) got upgraded to 7.0 nougat, and alongside that update, it's now compatible with the Daydream view VR, so.... Is there a chance the G5 will be compatible with Daydream anytime soon ?

I guess very likely via inofficial ways i.e. xda but officially questionable. The moto z is still not officially regarded as compatible afaik.

The moto z is officially compatible after nougat update,

"Another Redditor who received the update confirms that it enables Daydream support, which would make the Moto Z and Z Force the first devices outside of Google's own Pixels to support the company's new VR platform"
Yeah I've seen that. Not sure whether this is intended as this info is not from an official source like moto themselves but lets hope for the best
So i've installed the 7.0 KDZ and the Daydream app+VR framework from google. I can open the app and browse stuff, but as soon as i want to go into VR mode it crashes.
Is LG G5 compatible with Daydream View on Nougat (7.0). I wouldn't thought so since LG is selling their VR headset,
According to an article about the T-Mobile G5 update, the screen needs to be AMOLED.

Source? Never heard of this...

It is also mentioned in the TMobile G5 forum too.

http://www.androidauthority.com/daydream-vr-ready-phones-specs-727780/
Here they say:
"Google doesn’t specifically demand an OLED display in the CDD, but the need for low latency and persistency probably means that only phones with OLED panels will make the cut. That could increase even further the demand for AMOLED displays, which is already on the rise and expected to boom in 2017."
Which is much more precise, and there are the full requirements, this confirms that if the G5's IPS display doesn't respect those specification it will never support daydream.
But it also says that the only soc supported is Snapdragon 821, beside that the Moto z supports daydream, at this point who knows xD
how feasible it is to port wearOS on Moto 360 2nd Gen / 2015?
I really don't think it is possible. I think it's a hardware restriction due to the older Snapdragon 400. None of the Snapdragon 400 devices have received the update to Android Wear Oreo update, so WearOS is a real doubt.
You guys are aware that WearOS is just a rebranding from Android Wear and has nothing to with Oreo (which the Moto definitely won't get)
In fact, my Moto360 2nd shows in System Information "WearOS 2.10.0.188487362"
Cheers
Tom
Yes, v2.10 is WearOS.

You're talking about downgrading your device.
Any phone which is launched with Oreo has to support Treble. I doubt an OEM would add support for Treble to a budget device which launched without it.

I know that,But the Snapdragon 630 chipset is enough for me,and moto g6 plus have 5.7 screen, support project treble,Better battery.
If you've already have Moto mods, the Z3 play is around the corner
