Problems with Marshmallow LG V10 H900 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have been following this forum for a long time but I had never logged on. I commented my problem, although I saw several threads that deal with the subject, I did not see any updated or that I clarify the doubts well.
I'm from Argentina and buy aliexpress LG V10 H900, refurbish, came with Android 5.1. Seeing through several forums I saw that ATyT released an official update to 6.0 Marshmallow, to update via LGUP (via OTA I did not get to be outside the USA). I did not have problems to flash it, but when I started to test the functions, I found that the fingerprint reader does not work, it does not let me directly enter the settings. LG VPN error when starting, does not allow me to uninstall preinstalled apps (restarts the cellphone), among other errors.
Then I found out that you can not go back to Android 5.1, nor is there another ROM to try. I made a complete wipe from the cel options after the update. When I wanted to start from recovery I could never, try with all the key combinations and I could never, it is as if I did not have recovery ... Nothing work for me.
Sorry if the post was long, I hope to solve it and give me their experiences and opinions. Thanks and greetings to the community

I have messed up my phone, need help!

Hi,
First, sorry for posting this into a general thread, but I'm in a hurry and I need to find help asap! I have an LG L Fino D290n with 4.4.2, kernel 3.4.0+. I've rooted my phone with PurpleDrake a few weeks ago and removed some system application. Everything was working fine until today when my mobile network stopped working. Then the "home" and "multitasking" buttons were not responsive. I've tried to factory reset the phone and wipe everything but had no luck even after that. I've tried another sim - nothing. When I go into Settings > About > Software Version, my phone stucks, so I guess it's a software bug or something.
I need to, find a way to flash a stock rom, I've searched the whole internet but I had no luck finding one for the Fino. Is there another solution to try? What tools do I need to use? Can I flash a ROM from a different phone model, or should I say goodbye to my phone, since the GSM is not working anymore.
THanks

Flash Android 5.1.1 LMY48M Lollipop Factory Image for Google Nexus 10

Google has issued a brand new Android 5.1.1 Factory Image file that should patch the StageFright Security bug forever. If you want to install a clean Lollipop OS on your tablet, then you should check all the info listed in this post.
The StageFright Security bug should’ve been fixed with the previous LMY48I Android 5.1.1 release, but that didn’t happen as tons of Nexus 10 users have reported that the security vulnerability was still there. If you want to be sure that this bug is fixed, then you should flash the latest LMY48M firmware version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS on your tablet.
Installing a factory image on your will always remove all the data from your tablet and you should create backups before starting the flashing process. Read the following guidelines first:
use this post only with the Google Nexus 10 tablets.
– don’t try to update any other different tablets with the files that you will find in this post.
by installing this Android 5.1.1 LMY48M factory image you should know that the flashing process will remove all data from it.
– however, if your tablet is running a stock Android 5.1.1 LMY48I build that hasn’t been modified in any way, then you can use a small workaround in order to avoid the ‘factory reset’.
– more info on the update workaround can be found when you reach the tutorial instructions.
backup all the important files before starting the installation process.
enable USB Debugging for your tablet from its Developer Options menu.
– if you can’t find Developer Options under Settings menu, then you should enable it first: go to Settings> About Phone and tap 7 times on the Build Number section.
– return to Settings, scroll down, open Developer Options and find the USB Debugging option in order to enable it.
use this post only if you are an advanced user.
we cannot be blamed in case you end up losing any data in the process nor in case you brick your device.
check your Nexus 10 battery charge level and make sure that it is over 40%, it will prevent your device from powering down during installation.
read the whole tutorial and make sure that you won’t be skipping any steps, so that you will be able to complete the factory image installation at your first attempt.
I've used three different browsers to read this page in case I have some sort of content blocker active, and I see no tutorial in any of them...?
It's always nice to see people trying to help, and notifications of new ROMs are always welcome (though I installed LMY48M weeks ago), but there are already hundreds of tutorials showing how to upgrade a ROM - maybe you decided not to go ahead with the rest of your post?
With latest update 5.1.1 LMY48T my tablet powering OFF randomly. I had naver this issue before on 5.0.2 (( This update is piece of crap in my opinion

I've had the same problem, plus now I have battery issues. The tablet won't fully charge and will randomly turn off after some unknown time of use.
This update has killed my battery.
Beware of this update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT TOTALLY SCREWS YOUR NEXUS 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I´m reverting back to LMY47V because the newer updates are bricking my Nexus 10! I have flashed and reinstalled it 10 times by now, it just can´t handle this update! I think they did it for you to buy a new Nexus device by killing the Nexus 10!

Are you referring to build lmy48m or lmy48t?
I can't get to flash anything. Even after flashing another version, the old version just stays. I've tried everything. Formatting, erasing, downgrading, nothing works. I think my Nexus 10 is officially dead. It will boot up and like 1 minute after it just crashes and reboots again. I have read that others have this problem, could be that the motherboard is shot. Since there are no motherboards available, I can't even repair it. It lasted exactly 2 years, what a waste!
Well I just spent hours going through all the ota update from original jelly bean that it came with up to the latest lollipop build lmy48t and everything is working fine thus far.

Wifi MAC Address changes on every reboot - H90120j

Hi guys,
I have Tmobile LG V10 H90120j which its Wifi MAC address changes on every reboot.
Long story:
It was originally Lollipop, I updated to stock MM v20e then v20j. It was still OK after that.
Then I tried to root it using tungkick's method. However, the bad luck began, I forgot to change the Process to Upgrade instead of Refurbish when upgrading the TOT file. The phone bootloop to TWRP after that. Big thanks to @tungkick, he helped recover it.
I realized that from then the Wifi MAC address keeps changing on every reboot. The phone also cannot automatically get APNs from provider (I have to manually add them).
The really bad problem is the MAC issue. Only registered devices can connect to my home and my company Wifi networks. I can temporarily workaround by manually changing MAC address on rooted ROM after every reboot, but it's not an actual fix.
Factory Reset or Restoring to stock v20j can't help.
I did some search and found that some others also had the issue. Some said this method also can fix it: youtube . com /watch?v=8ejnFB5i5o8
But I can't see any nvram folder in my device.
Anyone has any ideas about fixing this, please help
Thanks.
anyone?
I have this with the T-mobile LG G5 H830 that is rooted on 20j (Nougat) with the dm-verity patch applied as well. I have 7 days left to return the phone). I also cannot find the nvram file/folder on my device (I am searching my LG G Pad 8.0 X to see where it is at via Root Explorer).
You mentioned you went back to stock (in TWRP, did you format the system and data directories and wipe the caches before; I ask because if you did not, I was going to do that, then re-stock).
My only other guess is the bootloader unlock would cause it (but then my LG G Pad 8.0 X is bootloader unlocked and doesn't do this). There was a CM7MAC.zip file (which I know is supposed to be for CM rom but I wonder if that fix would work for us).

Been months, I cannot recovery my memory well. But I might not format the system and wipe the caches in TWRP before going back to stock. Still having the issue, and applying workaround after every reboot .
Bootloader unlock is unlikely the cause, cuz I rooted another H90120j (my cousin's) after that. I followed strictly the guide and made no mistake. The phone's still working well now.
Well I think you can give it a try. Looking forward to your good news
My 13th day is Saturday so I am going to get T-mobile to exchange it for a new one (since about 1/2 the posts on this topic says it's a hardware problem with certain chipset mac addresses and I hope that batch of phones that WA gets is different than the batch that HI gets) and reboot that several times before I leave.
I only found out I had this problem since Shaw Cable use MAC address for the 10 devices include in the Shaw Go wifi (wifi public hot spots) and when I put the original address in while still in HI, then got back to Calgary (after a couple of reboots had occurred during my trip) noticing Shaw would not auto-connect like it does on the other devices which are all rooted and sim unlocked (LG G Pad 8.0 X, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Moto X Play).
If not for Shaw, I would have been none the wiser until I got an employer that only used MAC address and by then, I'd be stuck with the phone.
I notice that this problem allegedly was based on a chipset and/or the Android software itself (there doesn't seem to be a consenus one direction or the other) when I googled this (and subsequently found your post on XDA). I have had several generations of Samsung Galaxy S and Note Series as well as Moto Triump (Sprint), the LG G Pad X, and Moto X Play and have never seen this phenomenon.
Since you say your cousins device is working well and you did the same thing with it as with yours, I suspect it's a hardware fault in our devices. I already returned a V20 to Freedom/WIND since that bootloader is locked and no root possible (will try to get T-mobile to give me the V20 instead of the G5 since I have to go through all this drama; the Freedom V20 was rebooted more than 7 times on purpose and no mac address change occurred).

Huawei Honor Pad 2 unable to connect to Wifi after system update

Hi, this is my first time posting on xda forum, so if my post has some problems, I'd be delighted to correct.
So, I bought the Huawei Honor Pad 2 tablet about a year ago, and about last month it asked me to upgrade the system, and after the upgradation, the wifi icon becomes greyed out and I'm unable to turn it on. I tried to factory reset and wipe its cache partition but still no luck.
I dont know whether to flash its firmware would solve the problem but a few sites I stumbled upon, none of the links works(e.g. huawei-firmware rom links for my tablet model number don't work)
Some searches suggested it could be my hardwares malfunctioning, but since the wlan option greyed out problem only occurred immediately after the system update, I wonder if reflashing a new rom would work.
So I have run out of ideas, also I could not find honor pad 2 on the official huawei website, nor on xda forum, it mostly gives me mediapad as a result, but they seem different on pictures.
And some specs about my tablet:
Model: JDN-W09
Build Number: JDN-W09C233B023
EMUI Version: 4.0.3 (can't remember the original version but this is the one I got after that horrible system update)
Any helps are greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I had the same update, and we have the same specs, but tell me please how did you manage to get google play and all other google things to work?Maybe its because you are rooted?
It seems we are the only ones that we have this tablet, cos i can't find anything about rooting it or solve the google play problem without rooting. The worst thing is that nobodys bothering to make a post about it cos maybe the tab had been bought by a few people.
I don't have your problem, mine is working ok but my problem is way greater.I have done cache clears, download and intstall google services several times and some other tricks that i found on the net but nothing seems to work.
One click rooting methods:none of them work!
The οnly sure thing that we both need is a guide of how we are going to update the firmware to an earlier version(stock firmware)
Here on XDA i found only guides for phones of honor or tabs like media pad m2 that they seem to be similar but yet...i'm not sure.
I hope someone will take the time to answer on your post and our problems with this awesome tab!
I have also upgraded my Honor Pad 2 JDN-AL00 model to EMUI 4.0.3 B023 latest firmware and faced similar issues of Google apps not able to run anymore. I have tried to rollback the update by reflashing with older firmware versions. The update process shows success but when I boot up the set it still shows B023.
After researching the net, I think the problem could be because the older firmwares found in huawei-firmware.com are all OTA which means they are incremental updates. To fully rollback to earlier versions, I think we need Full OTA firmware. So far the only one that I can find on the net is B018 version. It’s abt 1.7GB. I have not gotten down to test out my theory. If you’re keen you can give it a shot and let everyone here know if it works...

Question I can't upgrade to Android 12, or even to the latest version of Android 11.

I have to admit, I'm pretty confused and a bit tired... nothing is working for me as in other phones and I can't seem to find any reliable info how to tackle my problems :/
I have the RMX2202 model in the 8/128 GB version.
My end goal is to have Android 12 and from what I read, I need the latest Android 11 update first for that. Only, the system shows me that the version I have (RMX2202_11_A.13) is already the latest, and from what I look on the internet, A.16 is already available.
I even downloaded a zip with both the OS version A.16 and the Android 12 beta, but when I try to install either of them, it shows me "Verification failed. Package incompatible with your system."
I also tried booting the phone in safe mode, because I saw that people on YT had an option to install from a file there.... but I don't have it. I can only do Wipe, or Reboot.
Please help :c
PS.: This phone is from a major chain store in Poland, so I'm assuming it is the Global version.
Welcome to XDA
Consider yourself lucky.
Android 11 and 12 are a mess.
Android 10 is still relatively functional and usable.
Rule #1 - If your device firmware is fast, stable and fulfilling its mission, let it be.
Thank you for the welcoming msg
But just one thing, I said that I have RMX2202_11_A.13 on my phone right now, so I'm already on the Android 11, but just not on the latest update of it.
And I understand your point, but I'd still want to try Android 12, and even root this phone in the future.
I appreciate your warnings, but these are my needs right now and I'd very much like to know how and if I can do it at all on this phone
Android 12 beta was only for firmware a09.
Have the exact same issues! Can't do anything, I think it might be that I choose to unlock the bootloader via dev option but not sure, have you done that as well? I cant boot in to real recovery (only have the same option as you mentioned, wipe, reboot, turn of)
Can someone help us or point us in the right direction on how we can at least sideload an update somehow? No root, stock ROM.

Here's what I done.
Installed the VPN below
LineCN - VPN to visit China - Apps on Google Play
A VPN Application for Chinese to visit China
play.google.com
Run the VPN
Run software update. Now a blue button should appear. Click on it.
Download and pray for the gods.

It works for me! I needed to put the slider back from "unlock bootloader" and restart the phone then I got it! Thank you very much!
Hello,
I have the exact same issue, I am stuck in RMX2202_11_A.13
I tried VPN, I tried re-enabling all user-disabled apps but nothing seems to work.
I have a global phone with global rom but I would like to get at least some update.
The update by VPN worked for me but I still dont have the Normal recovery, only partial. The is a bit weird to me.
