Airtel VoLTE Support on Redmi Note 3 - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Is there any way to get VoLTE for Airtel on Redmi Note 3? Is it possible for any developers to provide an update for the modems? Reply would be highly appreciated!

Yes it supports i this but only in official miui...

No. I've another Redmi Note 3 running MIUI. Airtel VoLTE is not working but Jio VoLTE is working. Can you verify again and tell?

Airtel volte is not working on miui.

Airtel hasn't added support for Redmi Note 3 yet. Among Xiaomi devices they support only Mi Max, Mi5 and the RN4. You will have to wait for Xiaomi and Airtel to make RN3 compatible.

How can I fix 4g+ in Xiaomi phones?

Hi, I am using redmi note 3 SD. Unfortunately I can't use 4g+, I am sure that I am able to use 4g+ but looks like Xiaomi limits it!
Is there any way to get Carrier Aggression?
Is 4g+ able in another ROM? for example lineage OS?

LTE Bands in Indian Redmi Note 4(SD)

Redmi Note 4x and Redmi Note 4 (SD) Indian Variant both Share Same Device Codename (Mido), Same SoC and same Kernel Source. But Indian Redmi Note 4 (SD), Don't support LTE bands that is being Supported by Redmi Note 4x(Global).
So, thing is, Can We flash Redmi Note 4x Baseband Firmware for Support of All LTE bands, as I don't think, XIAOMI will give update for 2100mhz Band LTE Support in Indian Redmi Note 4 (SD) one, so We are left with own Testing and modding.
I want someone to shed some light over this, is it possible and if someone Can Guide, or test.?
TIA
Short answer: No. It is not possible
OK. Lemme prove Wrong..?
Take a look in other threads and you'll see everyone who has tried have all failed
Hi,it's possible for 2100Mhz(with WCDMA radiofront),I had some posts on MIUI fourm deleted, perhaps the administrator of MIUI fourm doesn't happy to see you guys unlock the 2100Mhz band and nobody willing to test it,maybe the extra patent fees ?

Does Redmi note 9s support carrier aggregation?

Hi,
Bought a Redmi note 9s and works fine but I noticed when connecting to LTE/4G it just shows 4G and not 4G+.
My Redmi Note 8 Pro shows 4G+ just fine with the same sim card but Note 9s doesn't.
I tested the speed on Note 8 Pro it gives ~150Mbps but on Note 9S just around 50-60Mbps which means carrier aggregation is not working.
When I checked snapdragon 720G specs I found it supports carrier aggregation.
Is it a bug on MIUI 11 or it's disabled by Xiaomi?
Any idea?

Yes my Redmi Note 9S Global seems to support carrier aggregation (4G+)
I have here supported 4G Combinations: https://cacombos.com/device?model=M2003J6A1G . This device support only intra-band CA - so this is maybe reason why you don't get 4G+.
Note 8 Pro https://cacombos.com/device?model=M1906G7G support 1+3 so that i think your network use?
To improve database you can send to me modem log from your device. Here is instruction: https://mt-tech.fi/en/how-to-get-4g...phone/#Method_for_Qualcomm_Devices_after_2020 - you can send log file to: https://cacombos.com/contribute .

Miui 11.0.8. 4G+ was working out of the box, even using version 11.0.7 . My carrier is EE in the UK.

EE UK use Contiguous CA B3+B3 (3C) and B7+B7 (7C) so that's why you see 4G+. Not every network do contiguous CA so then they doesn't see 4G+ icon.

Need providers configuration to get VoWIFI working properly. Your provider and Xiaomi have to work together to bring VoWIFI and VoLTE services to this device.

No I just enabled wifi calling in the Sim Card & Mobile network settings. I set the option below that to favour wifi calling, so that icon always appears whenever I'm in range of my router. I have never asked EE for voWiFi or VoLTE permissions.
Just to mention too, on my previous Redmi Note phones I used to have to mess around deep to get VoLTE working but this option worked straight out of the box for my 9S. Hope you manage to sort it.

My carrier is doing the same, when I asked them they said we use B3+B3 (1800MHz) for CA. It's strange why it's not working for me.
There is no way my provider will support Xiaomi at least for now because in my country Samsung/Huawei are the majority and those are supported.
Samsung has both VoLTE and VoWifi, Huawei only VoLTE.
For me to get VoLTE for Xiaomi I just disable carrier check by code *#*#86583#*#* in my phone and add IMS apn settings and it connects to VoLTE.

VoLTE is working with code *#*#86583#*#* and add IMS apn, but it seems for VoWifi carrier has to add those settings in their network.

What ia your operator? Maybe they do 3A-3A not 3C. That is reason why no 4G+ enabled.
I also have the question if RN 9S and/or RN 9 Pro support the same or more then RN 7 regarding LTE Bands and CA specifically for IT provider TIM.
RN 7 is LTE Cat 9 450/50 with interesting Bands 1/3/7/20? (no 32) and should support 2CA 3-1 (no 7-3).
RN 9s LTE Cat 12 600/150 with interesting Bands 1/3/7/20? (no 32) and no reported support of 2CA 3-1 or 7-3.
RN 9 Pro LTE Cat 12 600/150 with interesting Bands 1/3/7/20? (no 32) and reported support of 2CA 3-1 + 7-3.
Regarding Bands deviceranks.com has: RN7 no 3/20, RN9s no 20, RN9Pro no 20. cacombos.com reports: RN7 Global has 3/20 (LTE 400/150), RN9s Global has 20, RN9Pro has 20.
Regarding CA cacombos.com reports: RN7 has 2CA 3-1 (no 7-3), RN9s has no (reported) 2CA, RN9Pro Global has 2CA 3-1, 7-3
So there are a lot of unclear listings probably also by not showing if Global model or not.
I wonder if there is a difference in those specs between 9s and 9 Pro, the 2CA support seems decisive to me, especially when 9s does not support any 2CA.

I have here listed CA combinations of devices:
Redmi Note 7: https://cacombos.com/device?model=M1901F7G (CAT13)
Redmi Note 9s: https://cacombos.com/device?model=M2003J6A1G (CAT13)
Redmi Note 9 Pro: https://cacombos.com/device?model=M2003J6B2G (CAT12)
I'm from Malaysia using operator Digi https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digi_Telecommunications
Same situation as OP, just 4G no 4G+
Can't even toggle VoLTE provision in phone information(attached pic)
BTW how to check which operator supports VoLTE for RN9S?

VoLTE on Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

I recently picked up a new Redmi Note 9 Pro and use it with T-Mobile in the USA. I have enabled the option for VoLTE and Wifi Calling as I have with all my other Xoaomi phones...however, this phone will not connect to VoLTE.
Is this something that can be pushed out as a software update? It has identical bands as several of my other Xoaomi devices, and they connect to VoLTE just fine.
Thanks for the help.
