I had my phone on airplane mode, I changed temporarily my password from my pc, I put again my true password, I re-enabled wifi on the phone, which warned me of recent changes on the account, I used my password + 2FA: there's still the warning and Android isn't connected!
Then I used Chrome from phone to login into my account and it worked, infact I can see in "recently used device" the phone being in use, but Android is still not connected!
More info:
I'm on Android 4.4.4 (pls no bully), Playservice 11.9.51 (0.38-177350961);
initially I changed the password to safely use Android-x86.org (specifically: "CM-x86 14.1" version), on which I used my account disabling any backup setting AFAIK; quitting that I re-enabled my "true" password, but at first it didn't let me use it because it was recently used, so as suggested elsewhere I changed it 100(!) times (google remembers the last 100 psw used and it won't let you use them anymore);
since then I restarted the phone, and one whole night has passed, but still no luck;
then I changed the password to a never used one and now here I am (I can login on Chrome from my phone, and also on my pc);
the texts I'm receiving (translated in English for you) are: "action for account required" from notification; once tapped it, a system window says to login again, but after I put the password I get a new system window titled "access didn't worked" and (in English this time) "to access your account, you must sign in on the web. Touch next to start browser sign-in", then an SMS is sent for 2FA, I check "don't ask it again", but on use I get again the previous system window ("use brower sign-in"); I've already tried it many times.
1.Try to Reset your phone to Factory Setings (This will wipe all your data so make backup)
2. Then wipe cache partition and reboot normaly your phone and try.

I solved it!
I disabled 2FA and, as suggested elsewhere, I used https://g.co/allowaccess (what it even does?). I don't know if both were necessary, but here I am!

I'm using Android 4.0.4, IceColdSandwich ROM, set up Google 2-step auth. I have generated an application-specific password and used it to set up account on the android phone.
First, I haven't found any ways to log off from the account. The only way offered is to completely remove account-related data including messages and so on.
Second, and most important, I revoked the application-specific password using web interface, and the phone still able to access my account mail and sync all the account belongings. I rebooted phone, clear data of different google applications with no luck - phone still had an access the account.
So I'm wondering why Google allows such unsecure scheme to live, and if there is a chance to revoke the access to google account in case of loosing the phone.
I have had the same problem after doing a full wipe update I revoked the old password then generated a new one so I could login. But after finding problems with the rom I restored my Nandroid backup and it never asked for a new password, it just worked which is a big security flaw.
My only guess it since I gave it the same name (ex Android Phone) maybe same names generate the same password. And has no randomness
I should do a test by generating a new password then revoking it and generating with the same name to see if they match since I have never checked if they are the same due to not knowing the old one past one time type in.
Edit they are not the same but I think I noticed what you have to revoke. At the top of the page you should see these I assume if you revoke them they don't come back until a proper password is re-entered.

I added my S3 to corporate exchange activesync, then decided to not to use it.
Now every time when press power button, the phone show screen lock and ask for a password, and I cannot disable it under
settings -> security-> screen lock as everything is greyed out there but the password.
I have tried to
1. Delete the exchange account
2. Remove the device administrators
3. Clear credentials
I haven't tried factory reset yet, and I hope I can avoid that route because I don't want to reinstall and set up everything else.
Thanks!

This is a little command utility I found couple weeks back to by-pass outlook exchange security policy.
What you need:
* rooted phone
* JDK ready PC (or MAC / Linux, never tried it)
Steps:
1. enable usb debug on the phone
2. plug your rooted phone to PC
3. **for windows PC** copy .cmd file and "lib" folder to /windows/system32/ or /windows/syswow64/ for 64-bits
4. double click the .cmd file and it will do the trick and then auto restart when complete.
Note:
* Not required to manually remove existing Outlook account. It should be gone after running the script
* I suppose if you already have configured exchange email, your internal storage or/and sdcard should be encrypted. You will need to unencrypt both to remove password protection, that is a Android requirement.
* Unencryption could be done before or after the exchange policy hack
* You might still be prompt to accept security policy, but it will actually apply anything.

Thanks a lot! Too bad, I already factory reset my phone... but it is good to know.
This is the main reason installed Touchdown (By Nitro) on my first android phone.
That way I can use my Work Email and the admins there can only lock the Email app and cannot touch the rest of my phone.
Might want to give it a try if you need your work email.(They have a 30 day trial I believe)

Touchdown worked pretty good. Thanks a lot!
hello to all, and please pardon me for my bad english.
i bought this i9100 (i9100GSMH) from ebay, from a guy who said "i was unable to find lockscreen sequence".
i was incredibly lucky, found it after some 30-40 attempts, but this is where real problems started.
The device is fully functional, 2.3.3 stock Gingerbread, branded O2, simlocked and contains all the first owner put in, more than 400 images, music, family videos and so on.
Some 7 accounts, like hotmails, two google accounts and, this is fundamental, one samsung account.
it has a valid IMEI and appears not been stolen (i contacted the girl some 10 days ago, still waiting for a reply)
well it contains also two emails from two guys who evidently bought this device and wrote to her trying to obtain samsung account's password
well, long story short: if i try to uncheck "remote functions" it prompts me with a password request (that samsung account)
the same password it ask me if i try "factory data reset". i tried subscribing another samsung account (success) but can't put in the phone (it says there is already one)
examples: i delete all images and music, accounts, various apps (some 7 gigabytes) and reboot: everythings returns in his place!
every file i put in the cell disappears if i reboot or if i "format USB storage"
in recovery mode i can't select sd-ext (to install firmware from ext-sd), tried put in DCIM but everything i put in disappears
tried various firmwares with ODIN and official update by kies: they complete successfully their work, but after reboot i have the device in the exact state it was the first time i turned it on:
lockscreen, images, music, videos, accounts, emails, apps returns there, nothing was really never changed nor deleted, everything i copied in the device simply disappeared.
this baffles me, as i read tons of forums and posts about it but everyone says you can factory reset, install firmware at will etc.
this is not the case, someone can help me?
i'm going to ask directly samsung if they can send me the "change password page", i'm running out ideas
well some news, the original owner of the cell emailed me: it isn't stolen nor lost, she sold it.
she gave me also the password (good!) for the samsung account, so i can remove "remote controls"
the password is valid and i can also access the corresponding account on (findmymobile), where there aren't any device registered.
i can delete all accounts on the device but two: this samsung account and one by googlemail.
the samsung account on the phone shows nothing, is empty, i can only select "delete account" but it says i can't because some apps blabla.
the google one is fully working, i mean it receives mail too, and is needed by some apps blabla, i can not delete.
my problem is actually the same described here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474222)
i think there are only two possibilities:
1 somewhat similar to NAND RW corruption, hardware defect, probably unrecoverable
2 samsung account and/or googlemail accounts are gone ape**it and internal SD is kept in some "security" state i don't even know if one exists.
anyone please?
My phone is a LG L3x (LG E425g) with Android 4.1 JellyBean. I hard reset the phone using the Settings menu but now when I'm setting it up it asks me for a Google account and here starts my problem.
If I said "Later" it ask me "Do you want to add an existing account or create a new one?" (even when I said "later") So I choose "Existing" and I have to log in with my account and it seems it works but then ask me again for the account, but now when I sign in (again) it say "There is already a [email protected] account on this Android device".
No matter what I do, it still appearing the same message. If I try to create a new account I put my name and last name and when I click continue message appears "Unfortunately, Google Account Manager has stopped". I hard reset the phone again but when I get this point the same error occurs. The problem is that I can't do literally nothing with my phone, NOTHING. I can't go to settings, I can't open any app, I can't open notification bar, nothing.
I've already reset the phone again. I create a new Google account on my PC and try to log in but it's the same. Please, don't tell me "Go to Settings..." or something because I can't.
Please help me

That sucks... I would try the hard reset via the built in recovery, which seems like it is only accessible via adb commands, oddly enough. If that doesn't work, then re-flashing the stock firmware might be next.
Finally
Finally I solved my problem =D
I suspected it was a software problem so I installed LG PC Suite and I downloaded the update for my phone (via USB), even when it was asking me for a Google Account.
After the update was completed, the phone restarted and it asked me for a Google Account again, so I put my info for the umpteenth time and finally it worked!!! Now the setting up process is completed and I'm able to access to the Play Store, Settings and other things.
I'll leave this information here in case anyone have the same problem in the future.
Thanks es0tericcha0s for your interest

You're welcome. Told ya that'd do the trick.
Hey,
today I needed to turn off my phone to swap battery. On turning it back on, my Google account wasn't there anymore, a notification said "due to changes to your account you have to sign in again". But signing it just won't do it. It doesn't fail, I come to the accepting terms and conditions, but when accepting the app just closes, the account isn't created so it seems that whatever app is responsible for that just crashes for no reason without any notification. The strange things: in the process I can see only the arrow in the bottom right, not the words "next" or "accept" (at the last page), only when I tap on them I can see them. And I had no accounts.db under /data/system/users/0. Now I have that file via TB restore. And I now see, after reflashing my ROM (by wiping /system, cache and dalvik-cache in TWRP and flashing the ROM) that I also have under /data a system_ce (with accounts_ce.db) and system_de (with accounts_de.db and accounts_de.db-journal), but I don't know if I had them before the TB restore or the ROM reflashing (having english (US) and german (germany) as system languages).
No solution form anywhere else was helpful. I froze AdAway with TB, deleted /system/etc/hosts, deleted data from PlayStore and PlayServices with multiple reboots and the mentioned reflashing, nothing seems to help.
I'm running Emotion ROM based on CM 14.1 on my Note 4 N910F with latest modem and bootloader I can find. Since I don't know how far that could be ROM or CM related, I'm posting that problem here. I have absolutely no problems logging in with my account on my desktop PC via browser, even logging in on google.com from chrome on the phone is no problem. But filling in the infomation either initiated over system settings -> accounts or by opening PlayStore, I pass everything but the account is not under the accounts section and PlayStore would just open again with the login page.
Anyone any idea how to fix it? Here is a logfile of me trying to log in.
UPDATE: Just did a TWRP restore. Did not help! Going to ask Google meanwhile since it might not be a problem with my device...at least if I can find out where to do so.
PS: just looked into my account settings, it seems to recognize that I log in to my device, but that's it. Disconnectiong the device from there and trying again also doesn't work.
