Disable mouse acceleration in Chrome OS? - Chromebooks

I just got my Asus Chromebook Flip c302 and I love it. Only one thing is pretty bad for me: there is a mouse acceleration in there by standard, which is something that I use to turn off on any Windows device right after getting it. Is there way of disabling this on Chrome OS? I searched the forum, didn't find anything; searched the web, found some angry redditors but no solution. What I did find is some smooth mouse setting in the chrome settings, which didn't do a whole lot for me.
Looking forward to your help!

Keyboard and Landscape Mode

Does anyone have any information on how I can use my HP folding keyboard with my device? I thought I saw somewhere that there was a way to modify the keyboard, but it did have any specific details on how to do so (which driver to use, any pin-out mods., etc.).
Also, I'd like to be able to browse the Internet in landscape mode. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good software solution. Free's better.

[Q] VPN on the Nook?

Has anyone found the VPN settings hidden anywhere on the Nook? I've been digging around through the various settings panes with the help of AnyCut, but haven't stumbled across anything for network settings that isn't in the stock Nook settings panes. I'll settle for either IPSec or PPTP, either would be better than nothing on open wifi nets.
It would also be nice to be able to be able to use Juniper's VPN for work, but Junos Pulse is coming up as "not compatible with your device" on the Android Market.
Any suggestions?
I asked the same question a week or so ago and got no answer.
I havent been able to find any solution myself either.

I saw that thread and it reminded me of VPN settings that I stumbled on while looking at files/inside settings files (not in menus) when I first got my NT, but then I couldn't find them again so didn't post. There is no native support/applications for setting up VPN on the NT at any rate, so you would have to find a separate program, but it looks like some basic android OS support might be there, just not the software or settings menus :/. Did either of you try 5 VPN or a similar app?
edit: Nope, not supported on the NT. All signs point to no until a custom rom or mod is available. I agree - it IS a big oversight and odd omission (and people complained about it on the NC, so they should have fixed it). It's definitely a software issue though, so eventually a feature that can be added.

Android Device as Second Display

I'm looking to be able to use my Galaxy Tab as a second PC display. I've been searching for hours for a way to set this up and I've found a few solutions, but so far they've all been lacking. I'm hoping others might have some experience or thoughts on the subject. Here's what I tried or looked into so far:
iDisplay - Available on the Market. So far about the only solution that works, but it's god awful slow. If you try to use a browser with a couple tabs open, it practically stands still. It also disables Aero on Windows 7.
Screenslider - Available on the Market. Disables Aero. Doesn't like web browsing, FF and IE won't redraw when clicking anything (links, Java objects, tabs, etc).
Air Display - Available on the Market. Disables Aero and DirectX. This one was extremely responsive, but you just can't do anything on it. Not compatible with FF9 or later and can't handle dynamic web content.
Remote View - Available on the Market. Disables Aero and Background. Honestly, I don't even remember why this one didn't work. Pretty sure browsers just froze. Have to jump through hoops on their website to even get the server.
Splashtop XDisplay - iOS only. Looks like it would be perfect, but it's not on Android yet. They said they were working on it 6 months go, so I'm not holding my breath.
Virtual display + a VNC connection - This is the most promising, so far. The idea is to use software to create a virtual display that's normally hidden, then use a VNC server (that can deal with individual displays) to send that extra display to a VNC viewer on the Android device. It seems like this would be the most responsive, plus you shouldn't lose Aero or specific applications since you're essentially just sending out a video stream (I think). Some apps even combine the virtual display and VNC server into one. In reality, actually setting this up has been a royal PITA (due in no small part to my complete lack of experience with this sort of thing).
Other Android RDP or VNC apps that have this sort of functionality built in - ?
So, has anyone actually accomplished this, or have any interest in figuring it out?
I'm looking for a similar application for my Galaxy Note's display. I want to use it as a live display tablet for Photoshop. I tried iDisplay and Remote View. Both were too slow to update phone display. iDisplay also BSODs my Samsung laptop (primary work machine), so it's not a viable solution. I could always use my phone as a regular tablet (one that just moves a cursor on screen), but hey, it'd be cool to have!
Virtual display+VNC? Sounds too contrived, but I'll try to read up and figure out how to get it running. If that's as responsive as a regular display, I'll post the method here.

i guess it didnt work..
Personally, I never went back and gave it another shot. Still think the VNC thing will work well with some effort.

no google task sync ??

I got Remix working, used the wonderful hacked version. I am on a Dell something-plex and it is working great! I got my screen orientation to move to portrait, and I am excited to setup widgets on a third party launcher. I am going to make it a family calendar-screen in our kitchen. Thinking about making an instructable out of the project. I found a lot of answers to questions and road blocks I encountered from the forums. There is one thing I cannot solve.
I cannot install any google task client that works! When I say works, they will all install, and most of them will let you make tasks locally, but none of them will sync with google. I CAN use a browser, (chrome, dolphin, etc) and get to the canvas or android mobile interface of tasks, but none of the apps can sync. I am stumped. The same apps I have tried work fine on my phone or tablet, but will not seem to work on remix. Is it x86 related? is it something funky with remix specifically?
I do linux admin for my job, so i dug around looking at dmesg and whatnot, but i have not taken the time to learn android at the same level as a server OS per se. I was not able to find anything thus far. Was thinking about logcat and taking the android approach to troubleshooting this rather than an OS administrator approach.
Has anybody seen this behavior? Has anybody found a way around it? My reasoning for using the app is mostly silly. I would like to use a widget rather than have a floating browser window open. Call it silly, but its so we can see our family pictures behind it easier. (I also got wallpaper changer to cycle through a bunch of family photos i copied on to it)
If anybody over at Remix wants to have me send logs and stuff, I can do that if they would like.

Control Android tablet remotely

Hi, I bought a cheap tablet on aliexpress, a bmxc brand. It has good specs and works fine. My Father is 93 and has nearly lost his eyesight. I want to give him the tablet so he can use google talkback and do things with it e.g. play music. As he is 500 miles away I want to be able to control it remotely to help him with it. I have tried quite a few things and nothing works, MS remote desktop doesn't work, airdroid doesn't work. Teamviewer doesn't work because there is no "quick support" app for my particular tablet.
I'm a programmer but have never done any Android development. Does anyone have any idea of what it would take to write a Teamviewer quick support app for my tablet?
Also does anyone know if Android has any generic way of programmatically generating a mouse click/ finger press on a screen. It seems like it doesn't otherwise there wouldn't be any need for a device specific quick support app for Teamviewer.
