So how did this all start? Well when I had the Xperia U the bar on the bottom of the phone was always on when the screen was on, but not used for notifications, but with the SP the bar is only used for notifications.
Recently Sony released their Illumination API so that you can use the LED bar within apps, and I have created an application so that the bar can always be on, if you want it to be. You can also choose what colour and alpha thanks to devmil-colour-picker.
Screenshots and downloads are below in the attachment, please bare in mind this is a work in progress
I will be adding more functions such as the light colour on battery level and such.
V1: Initial upload
V1.1: Fixed persistent colour change
V1.2: Fixed service crashing
V1.4: Fixed service restart when app is closed, if bar persists to light up when screen is off, turn screen on and off a few times and this will no longer persist.
Thanks
~Keiran
Great thanks
Is it working with aosp & cm based ROM?
Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
Its awesum
But can u add
- Intensity, as to select wether to light up 1 led or 2 or 3 (like how charging only lights up 1 led)
Also I believe this prob drains a lot of battery?
Edit: it sometimes stops working when in background
Sent from my C5306 using xda app-developers app
Works very well!
Maybe its interesting add an option (if its possible) to turn off the illumination in fullscreen apps (like games, to save battery when play)
Very interesting app, good job!
It's Not working with cm11

Great work!
This is awesome!
I will upload a new version soon where I have fixed the service method so that the service runs even when the app is closed.. If I embedded it into a ROM I could make it a system service and then it would run indefinitely.
I will be adding many more options such as the way it is in music player in YouTube

It doesn't work with CM because they don't include the illumination API as it is Sony proprietary and is included in ROMs only based on stock.

I know that but Discolight app is still working with CM but it's too slow with changing the colour & the pulse of the lends when playing music
How's that?
Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
I have updated the app so that the service will run constantly, but when the app is killed the bar may continue to light up still even when the screen is off, to solve this turn the screen on and off a few times and this problem will be resolved.
Overall this app is getting on well, I just need to add more functions such as the bar flashes on audio level and also on battery level and on other events that can be captured in a broadcast reciever.... anyways, time for me to sleep, college 9-5:30 tomorrow

Is it still working with the newest cm11 versions? And could you tell us how to apply it? Just instal like regular app or push it into system and set permissions?
Is it working in your SP correctly? I have problems with blinking when the screen is off. First the LEDs are bliking correctly, but after a while only one of them is blinking or they are all always on etc. Did you have same problem and if yes, how did you fix it?
Yeah. This fix doesn't work on new CM 11.

Working well on mahdi rom 2.9 final, thanks.
only work on the middle one
Is it worked with CM11s?
anyone has tested it?
I still get few blinks of default notification from the rom itself (single led), after one or two blink, custom led starts blinking (three leds, color from illumination app).
BTW with free version of illumination app you can choose strenght of the led which is not possible in pro version.
This is something that I've been using for myself and sharing it and my source with the community.

Flash SuperSu as last piece of Install Procedure. So you will not be encripted.
1. Download ROM, Gapps, SuperSU and put it on the phone's internal storage.
2. Boot into TWRP recovery.
3. Coming from a different ROM? Perform a factory reset using TWRP. If you're upgrading from ROM, proceed to dirty flash.
4. Flash ROM, Kernel (Optional), GApps, SuperSU.
5. Reboot and enjoy.

getting no data on verizon
Hello everyone, after long studying both kernel and ROMs, i've decided to start building a ROM of my own for the device OnePlus One. After this I was motivated to try share this work with other devices too.
I'll try always share a odex and also a deoxed version.
Download
Features:
Updated SQL to 3.10.0.2
Optimized SQL code for faster Read/Write
SuperUser
Camera Next
Improved Code of frameworks
Optimized Build and compiled with GCC 5.1 (only kernel is GCC 4.8 for now)
Improved sound with speex resampler
Improved bionic with many optimized libraries
Translation to Russian
More than 150 mem fixes not included on cm builds
Alot of aliasing fixes and ready for aliasing optimizations (better)
F2FS ready for data and cache (only recommend over cache.
Wake Blocker added (don't need to add xposed and don't loose speed since you'll use a inside solution)
More coming soon
Share your opinion and suggestions.
I'm a very praticle user, and my aim will be to get a very fluid stable system, at same time with speed and battery, keeping most stock possible with the optimizations which will improve for real our experience.
Thanks
