Hi community, i have my new Redmi Note 4 with Android 7 and MUI 9.0.5.0 Stable. I activate USB Debug in order to eliminate some system apps that i never use. My OS is Ubuntu 14.04, when i start adb server and connect my phone to my PC the server says "No Device Attached". I try differents usb ports, but nothing happens ?. This seems strange to me, the phone connects on mtp mode. And my previous phone have a Lineage Room, Android 8 and i always make connections using adb. ¿Any ideas why this happened?
PD: My computer and my phone doesn't have an internet connection. I live in Cuba ?
same problem here, when i connect my device to the laptop, it doesnt recognize it even though it does recognize it when i boot into fastboot
I finally managed to connect my phone installing the latest ADB directly from Google

Hi!
I have searched XDA forum and other forum concerning LineageOS. But I have not found a solution.
My latest experiments were with installation of the adb interface on windows. At first, this worked well and I got full massstorage access. The Galaxy and its both memories did show up in Windows Explorer (like in old ages).
At the next restart of Windows (Win 7 64-bit Pro) when I connected my phone, Windows immediately did install the samsung drivers again. And since that things got even worse: No even the MTP and PTP Mode did not work, so that the Smartphone does not show up at all in the Windows Explorer!
At F-Droid, I have found an app, called USB Mountr. I tried this, but without any effort.
In the device manager of Windows I can see an „Android Composite ADB Interface”. It tells, that the device would work OK.
Now I am stuck with this and I hope, someone will help me, to activate usb massstorage access.
BTW: I have flashed my Galaxy S2 with Heimdall, running on Ubuntu. Heimdall on Windows 7 did not work, because of libusb error -12.
Latest status:
I have uninstalled the app USB mountr and did reboot the phone. Now the USBconnector is only active for charging the battery. I even get no connection in PTP or MTP mode.
Then I have deactivated USB debug mode and ADB. did a reboot, reactivated ADB and USB debug etc. and did further reboot the phone but with no success.
USB connection is nearly dead and cannot have connect with LUBUNTU Laptop. On Win 7, I get the signal tone, which is typical for connecting an USB device. The GT.i9100 shows up in Explorer but cannot be connected. Device manager tells me, that it is an Android device and all would be OK.
As a work around I am using MyPhoneExplorer on Win-7 and KDEconnect for Ubuntu.
Please can anybody tell me, what I should do, to get back at least USB connection in MTP or PTP mode???
I have the exact same problem.
I did notice, that after first boot, there was a message (several times) the MTP daemon/service stopped working (Crashed ?)
Does anyone else encounter this ?
Did anyone else resolve this ?
(Currently I was only able to get/send files to the device via BT, which is slow, annoying,
and a lot of work moving files to their required places after transmitting over BT)
Quick Fix for stuck on boot
This probably isn't the right place but you said there weren't many solutions. If your phone randomly gets stuck on boot you need to Delete Everything including system, factory data reset, flash ROM again with ADB, go through setup. The reason it probably hanged is because you installed an old version of SuperSU Binary or because you flash OpenGapps before setting up phone.
Hope this works
P.S Sorry for the late reply
I have the model with Snapdragon, before I did not have this problem but now I do. I want to install TWRP and root but when I connect it via USB it is connected and disconnected continuously, I have changed cable, PC, I have installed the drivers ... I want to know if there is a solution or at least TWRP without PC. (I have the latest version of MIUI stable)
Do you have another pc or laptop u can try this with and tell me if the problem still persists? Another solution are linux, because in my case my windows 10 pc wouldnt recognise my rn4 mido device, when i used linux it was all fine. Or rollback to a previous Miui like 8 and try connecting it to the pc again.(You can go to the nearest Net cafe and try it btw, just like i did lol)
Hi people, I'm having issue that's driving me mad. With USB debugging turned off, USB to PC connection works fine, I can tether, access my files and all that. If I try to connect with USB debugging enabled however, the USB connection just fails over and over again leading to hundreds of auto play popups on my pc and the "du dun" sound playing every second. I've tried removing all the drivers and reinstalling them to no avail.
Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? PC is running Win 7 x64 ultimate, phone is on latest official firmware. Thanks.
Have you tried SPflashtool?
Whenever I boot my phone into fastboot mode and connect it to my computer, the fastboot logo disappears and is replaced by the message "press any key to shutdown". Miflash says that there is no device connected. I have tried switching ports, I am running windows 10 64-bit with and Intel CPU. I installed the latest drivers and it still hasn't worked. I double check USB debugging and OEM unlocking were enabled.
Same here, minus the shutdown message. Unable to connect to misuite either. No problem connecting via windows explorer.

About the MiSuite thing, that is no longer supported for devices running above MIUI 7, so you shouldn't be worried about that
Well, at least that is one problem solved. Silly, but whatever. Still leaves us both unable to use miflash.
Of course I try my wifes laptop and it works instantly. 72 hour wait now. No idea why neither of my two laptops work with it.
Just wondering, what operating system does your wife's computer run? I heard using windows 7 fixes the problem in some cases.
We both run Windows 10 - x64 and Intel.
Hi, I have a problem that my PC doesn't recognize my POCO F1 in FASTBOOT mode.
I'm running Win 10 64bit (Core i7-3517U), my phone is Global stable 11.6.0. bootloader is NOT unlocked and there is no root.
The main problem: When I try to connect my phone in FASTBOOT mode to my PC and go to System Manager it shows an exclamation mark, not a question mark like it would if you just didn't have the drivers. It also says "The device has been stopped (Code 43) (the other error codes are in the attachments given below) A request for the USB device descriptor failed." I guess this means it's not a simple matter of missing drivers, even if my phone is connected normally, it does not show up or connect to the Mi PC Suite. Normally, if you plug in a new device without drivers, Windows at least recognizes whether it's a printer, headset, mouse or whatever and starts looking for appropriate drivers, but not here.*Whenever I put my phone on FASTBOOT mode, it never gets recognised it just shows an exclamation with a dialogue box that says that "The last USB device you connected to the computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it" (screenshots provided in the attachments below with normal my phone on normal mode and fastboot mode please go through them)
What I have already tried based on my previous research, but with no success:
different computers, windows and Mac
different usb cords
usb debugging on/off
all usb modes (MTP, file transfer etc.)
usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports
re-installing Mi PC suite
resetting my phone
resetting my Windows 10 pc
and none of the above seem to work.
I also spoke with a friend and tried connecting their phone (Redmi Note 5 Pro) on fastboot mode to my Windows Pc and the Mac and it works!
but my POCO F1 does NOT get recognised.
I live in Pune, Maharashtra in India
and there's a huge lockdown, like there is, all over the world
I can't actually go out and visit a service center and fix this anytime now. i need some serious urgent help on this, I'm willing to do anything to fix this at home. I just need assistance and i need some sort of external guidance. Please, please help me with this matter.

If you still not able to find a way pls follow this video. Thanks
Was it ever resolved ? I had similar issue with my POCO F1. it was working fine in ADB but not getting detected in FASTBOOT. Every time I connected it in fastboot it showed a message USB device not recognized. drivers and all were fine. Code 43 was also there in device manager.
I was able to fix it by using Bugjaeger Premium on my spare Samsung rooted android 10 phone with OTG since my spare phone has micro USB.
POCO F1 was also not getting detected first then I did a factory reset, and MIUI recovery wipe and simply disconnected the cable and rebooted poco f1 using volume down and power button and voila it got detected in my samsung phone then i flashed TWRP.
