Been running this for a couple days and it's doing well. I did not flash gapps. The biggest issue I have seems to be that apps will crash once the first time they try to access storage. I just reopen the app to do the same task and it works. Sometimes the MTP service crashes when I do something storage related, too. WiFi seems fine, but I haven't had a chance to use Bluetooth or make a call yet.
Thanks for this. Apparently the last ROM I was running on this particular device was a CM build of yours from early last year .
Adding this a couple days later: Wow, battery life has drastically improved over the old CM ROM.
100% Recommended
Just installed this to my Verizon Note 2 SCH-i605.
Running very stable and fast. Definitely better than any ROMS out there.
God bless you!
hi
how to apply it because i'm newer to install custom rooms
I'm having a real good time with this rom. Really brings this ol' girl back to life. I'm also having a real bad time with this rom.
Three issues I'm having so far:
1. Can't send a text. I can get texts in, but when I try to send one out will just say "sending" be then display a notification that it failed.
2. Phone screen turns off on calls and will not come on at all. Power button, home button, prox sensor, nothing gets the screen to come back on. This means I can't hang up and can't press 1 for English.
And 3. Caller ID isn't working at all.
I'm also getting a seemingly random popup saying MTP host failed, or something like that. Not sure if that is related
Any advice on what the problem could be would be splendid.
1. Which carrier to do you use?
2. What APN settings did you use?
This will be easy fix~I have no problems with my rom at the moment.

1. The big red V
2. No idea. Just however it came by default. Been on another rom for a few weeks now. If I remember correctly I did go into the *#*#4636*#*# menu and reset VZW's smsc number, but was dismayed like a mofo that it was of no use.
Would love to get this rom running solid, but the screen going black on a call is a major killjoy.
Update:
Loaded this rom again, still no go on the texts. Tried to restore APNs from a backup and got a pop-up saying this version of Android doesn't allow modifying of apn info.
Most of the entries for all four apn options say "not set"
I can't get it to save my APN. It's the country code. It will not let you have 311 it only let's you use APNs that have a 310 country code. I can't even edit it directly and use the 311 country code.
Any idea how I can get around this.? I've seen this in other ROMs before some ROMs just won't work on virtual carriers. And some don't have an problems with the 311 code.

Read this. I think you might be needing the base band and build up dates that these guys are talking about and linking to.

Already on the mj9. pushed the md7 radio, reflashed the rom, no change. going back to beans 4.1.

the reason is because you swiped after reset.
you should not install any rooting after flashing.
flashing -> reboot WITHOUT rooting option
you shall be fine

Use your external micro SD Card for installation.
You don't need to paste ZIP files onto your internal phone from the beginning...Gapp and ZIP files must be stored in microSD Card first.

Like a dummy I think I deleted something I wasnt suppose to. I tried flashing artmod using philztouh recovery (latest). when I went to flash artmod it was giving me a status 7 installation fail and was talking about needing 5 args but only having 4. so I went back to the mounts/storage and started formating everything except the sdcard and sns but I formated /firmware and tried formatting /persist. Now my phone only boots a few roms IE>...CM 11 M4 and Mokee but the wifi is not turning on at all and there are no sim apn's....I cant use mobile data or wifi whatsoever...I have tried manually entering any apn's I can find to no avail. I should of never used philztouch when I have no idea what formatting /firmware would of actually done to the device....Im guessing I need to return to stock using LGPNT (which is another thing I hope the file itself isnt huge b/c I have a ****ty ass wifi connection that im pulling from air)...I have done just about everything I can possibly think about doing to include trying to restore TWRP roms I had previously back-uped.....Just sat on the vanir boot screen carbon rom doesnt boot whatsoever either nor do PACMan....Im now back with TWRP with efs/sdcard/KK support. I havent changed radios or anything....Can someone please give me a hand so I dont have anice shiny brick

I think that just means you have the mako bootloader. Mine says the same thing and I've never converted.
Have you tried restoring your efs partitions? You can if you have an old TWRP backup, or freegee, or they might be sitting on your sdcard.
Maybe flash the at&t jb radio after restoring efs.

Ive looked into the EFS back up folder and I see three of em but how can I restore an efs ? I have an old back up of vanir but it never booted and I have two twrp back up's of carbon but they were failed back-ups....I really have no idea how any of this happened ? Its like the phone doesnt even recognize the sim card and wifi wont even turn on whatsoever (3 hours ago everything was working perfectly). It wasnt til I formatted /firmware with philztouch recovery that all of these problems occured....
well i tried finding a copy of the at&t jb radio on your rom thread but codefire.re has told me file not found on mozzila and chrome

Just use lgnpst to return to stock? If WiFi sucks, just calm down, go to a library tomorrow to download. Learn from this experience, ask questions before you try stuff, and you won't be in this situation again.

I dont think the file exists thru codefire.re anymore, unless something is messing up on my end...yeah about that LPGNST, Ive seen a few different threads about that ordeal and really not sure which one to follow...

yeah I followed that link but it doesnt seem to really be the problem Im having. My phone's not bricked (soft or hard bricked)....a few roms are having a hard time boot (which Im not sure why considering Ive completely wiped the entire phone)...Right now the phone's booting with cm11 M4...The only problem Im having is inability to connect to wife and missing apn list...the phone isnt recognizing the sim card...If I can grab that att jb radio and see if that's the culprit and it doesnt work...Ill give that link a try....Really not sure i the local library allows downloadable content or not...Might be just for surfting...B&N as well as Panera Bread all block downloads, purely net surfing only...

If your phone doesn't even see the SIM card, it may be more than a radio issue. Your library don't give a **** what you download, they are paid too little to care.

well sound doesnt work now, nor does voice commands or any type of voice anything....so voice, sound, wifi, data....all of this from formating /firmware using philztouch recovery....
brotha you the man....that fixed everything.....it's back up and running again....optimusv (thank you as well for the assistance)....I still dont know what made the phone act that way aftering formatting /firmware....kinda curious
I had a similar problem trying to install Art Mod rom on my LG OG using Philz touch CWM recovery!!! I switched to TWRP 2.6.3.0 and have not had any problems... Just something about the newer version that don't mingle well with the rom.. if I'm not mistaken CWM 6.0.3.8 works well with the rom also..
I had a problem just a few moments ago trying to use the efs supported/kk TWRP & also philztouch...PT recovery gave me a status 7 and kk supported TWRP gave me an error on mounting /system...I have not used CWM or official TWRP...I'd like to try artmod but I'm still hooked on xposed framework and cm ROMs

What is an efs supported/kk twrp and phil... if you're using the right recovery l, flashing the right rom, and still encountering issues. I would recommend just lgnpst back to stock to have a fresh start since the process of going back to stock, rooting and installing recovery for this phone is quite simple

This is the first of many guides I will be posting and keeping up with.
It will be utilized for Q&A FAQ and HOW TO so we can keep the development thread for development purposes.
Post your questions and Myself or other knowledgeable users of Sac23 ROMS will answer as quickly as possible.
So ......
FAQ:
what do i do if its not booting on start up A- pull battery then restart.(IF YOU HAVE A REMOVABLE BATTERY)
after booting im getting a services have stopped wait or close A- pull the battery and restart.(IF YOU HAVE A REMOVABLE BATTERY)
the tweaks open then close help? A- need to deny super user for it then go in and change what u want then re enable superuser for it
how to install
install like u would any rom then wait for 2 min ( if wont boot )
pull battery and restart then you'll see optimizing apk's count down.(IF YOU HAVE A REMOVABLE BATTERY)
***Guys This Is A Port So remember it will have small glitches here and there but all in all should be stable ***
For starters HOW TO INSTALL a ROM by SAC23
Installing with TWRP (View All Supported Devices>>> Find TWRP for your device):
Philz can be used and I will post instructions for it later https://www.mediafire.com/folder/qc3z1c59s8g03/PHILZ
This assumes that you ALREADY have TWRP Recovery installed on your phone and you know how to use it.
Download the ROM of choice...move it onto the EXT SD CARD.
VERY IMPORTANT>>> Move all music, pics, important data from internal storage to the ext SD card and/or to your pc, etc. because during this process, the internal will be completely erased.
Recommended Method to Flash SACS Custom ROMS using TWRP
Boot into TWRP
Select Wipe > Advanced Wipe
Select Dalvik, System, Data, Internal Storage, and Cache. Swipe to Wipe (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to previous Advanced Wipe screen.
Select Format Data, Type YES, Press GO. (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to previous Advanced Wipe screen.
Swipe to Factory Reset. (do this THREE TIMES)
Go back to MAIN menu and STOP HERE !!!!! READ NEXT STEP CAREFULLY....
[*]Select REBOOT INTO RECOVERY mode and Swipe to Install Super User. DO NOT REBOOT INTO SYSTEM!
[*]AFTER THE PHONE REBOOTS INTO RECOVERY:
NOW proceed with installing The ROM
Select Install Zip, Drill down to Sac23's Rom you want to flash, and Swipe to install.
Follow on screen instructions (if there are any).
When prompted, REBOOT SYSTEM.
THE FIRST BOOT WILL TAKE A MINIMUM OF 20 MINUTES..... SOME DEVICES EVEN LONGER...
.
.
HAVE PATIENCE
When the Home Screen appears and it is obvious that the install has completed, allow the phone to settle for another 10 minutes BEFORE you begin setting up your personal preferences and accounts.
If everything seems normal, set your phone up and profit.
IF IT WON'T BOOT....(IF YOU HAVE A REMOVABLE BATTERY)...try pulling battery and replacing battery then restart phone and you should see "Android Updating"
After setting up your personal info and you are now ready, the first thing you should always do after flashing any ROM is to go to settings, system updates, and refresh/update your PRL & PROFILE then reboot the phone. Second thing is go to settings, more networks, mobile networks, network mode, and select LTE/CDMA.

What it will do is update a list that the carrier provides.... it stands for prefer roaming list PRL it will update the list in your phone to hit the preferred towers near your area that you're in and yes it will give you better reception when you're roaming.....there has been threads written here in xda that you can overwrite your PRL and roam on Verizon towers or T mobile towers for example... but if you roam too much off network of their PRL then you stand a good chance on getting reprimanded from Sprint if not cancelled

What's up RL.
Been busy fellas, but I've been keeping up pretty well with all the wonderful contributions of Sacs and the gang. Question? Was just wondering if sacs is looking to add floating messages to this rom like he did on the S5 port. Make sure you let him know, he's done an absolutely brilliant job with his port. Will hopefully be popping up in there soon. Peace out.

No super biggie, but whenever I've installed the rom, If I ever reboot, unless I switch completely to "none" it's like I have to wait for a bit until It somehow just allows me to swipe and go on to the rom. I've seen some comments, and I've wiped some what I thought were fixes, but they didn't take. Any permanent fixes I've overlooked?

wow
Had the lightwave rom on this before, and it worked well. After a few hrs of running cm i am blown away at the performance. Buttery smooth. Calls crisp, no issues whatsoever aside from the camera. Got xposed on it, gravitybox and greenify working great so far
And just thought I'd try it with the Camera MX from playstore and voila, it works! One picture at least
Bluetooth freezes calling app
Hi everyone, first of all, big thanks to AcreaperJB
I just installed version 0.2.3, overall I really like the ROM, I have two issues with it, really it's just one that I care about, here I go
1 - the big deal) I can't make calls over Bluetooth, after dialing I hear maybe one signal, maybe two if I'm lucky, after that the calling apps freezes, can't finish the call, can't call anybody else, can't hear anything, even turning off Bluetooth won't restore things, I can switch between apps and everything is fine except the calling app it's just stuck until I restart the phone, no more calling basically
2 - the workaround) camera will crash right after taking the photo, won't save the photo, I installed open camera from the play store and it works fine, I know it's a known issue, I just want to confirm it
Things to mention
- I did full install, all the partitions got wiped except the external SD card partition where I kept the ROM
- installation was scary, after installing the ROM it would circle back and forth, it was restarting and it wouldn't let me do anything, as soon as it got to CM wizard it restarted, I had no way to stop it or pause it so after about 10 restarts I gave up and just moved on and left the phone do restarts and I took care of other things around the house, already started thinking on how to go back to the stock rom, after coming back to the phone about two hours later the CM was waiting for me, got so surprised that it got out of the endless loop, i finished the wizard, went into CM and it doesn't restart anymore
thanks again
Uhm
Hey, does anyone know of a fix for the YouTube app? It keeps saying 'an error has occurred touch to retry'
SIM Card not detected?
So I clean installed the dirty v.0.2.3 and when it went to setup it said my sim card wasn't detected. Did I miss something? Does the "dirty" mean I won't get data? I'm new to this and I don't really know what the lingo means. I also can't change the APN's. It says "Access point name not available for this user".
I can't make any phone calls nor send any texts. My cellular data doesn't work either. Wi-fi and everything else works fine. Just the actual service.
Am I missing a step?
I flashed the ROM with twrp 2.8.4.0, I wiped davlick, data, cache, etc. I did the clean install, I don't understand why I am not getting any service or why my sim card isn't detected.
Please help

Screen going blank upon boot
I tried installing this rom after doing a full backup & then wipe. I made sure to wipe dalvik and cache. I then installed the 0.2.3.zip via TWRP 2.7.1.0 that comes with Light V3 Rom.
Install completed without error but upon boot the setup menu appears and then vanishes. I can get it to display ever-so-briefly by powering the display off/on.
I have a T-Mobile T399 unlocked for use on ATT. Unjustified Devs earlier builds did the same thing but would constantly reboot as well. Your rom doesn't reboot but the screen behaves similarly.
Have you heard of this behavior before, and are there any steps I can take to provide you with diagnostic information?

Think you need to use the twrp 2.8.4 that is in the forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-2-8-1-0-touch-recovery-t2924604
Try flashing a T-Mobile radio. Just Google it and it should come up.

Answer: CM12-Light BETA for t399n camara workaround.
I have installed cm12 for the Samsung galaxy light t399N.. I am happy to report Everything is working fine! except the stock camera, I tried 7-8 camera apps on the Google play store with no luck, until.... VIOLA, I found one that works. It is called FOTOR. it works now. I have an extra step to deal with but the point is that my phone is now fully functional and running 5.02 lollipop on my METRO PCS t399n. BTW i did not have to edit the apn settings; interestingly, I have an indicator that tells me I have T-Mobil for my carrier.... Thank goodness for the recent merger and switch over to the T-Mobil network, one more problem solved. Hope that helps someone else out there.
thanks
it works
I'm using it a week ago, everythings is ok, only the stock camera not save the photos,
Sorry for my english,

Reboot cycle
After installing V0.2.3 using TWRP 2.8.4.0 on a T399 on a T-mo network I am stuck in a continuous cycle of rebooting every few seconds. I have tried reinstalling starting from a stock image and wiping the cache, data, and dalvik. Any idea what I could be messing up?

Wow Los has finally arrived for the Jewel but my Jewel is no longer with me
I can't seems to use external sdcard as internal there's simply no option to do it while formatting. Other then this it's pretty snappy thanks again.

Thanks for testing! Try the new Nougat build—I wasn't able to move apps onto the SD card (that is a LineageOS bug), but I was able to format it as internal storage.
I couldn't install the latest build 14.1 well just keeps bootlooping at the HTC screen.
Wipe
Install latest build
Install Gapps 7.1 (tried without installing this also) still no go ?

There appears to be an error in the build. I will upload a new build within a day.
Edit: New build has been uploaded! Please report if it works.
Never thought my Jewel would ever see Nougat (let alone Lollipop or Marshmallow). Just flashed and all is working well so far. Awesome work!
God tier work here, I'm blown away. I misplaced my Moto G 3rd gen somewhere in my apartment, so I've given up and dusted off my Evo. I was set to just use the Viper 4.1.1 that was on there, but some apps weren't installing so I came on ol' XDA. This is much more than I expected, thank you.
With that said, any tips on getting this to activate on Sprint / Ting? It was working fine on the old rom, but not kicking in here.
I know this isn't totally related to this ROM, but maybe it can be. I'm having issue with this (and most other ROMs I try) where the per button works physically, but only the buttons light up. I have to press the power button several times to get the screen to wake. This isn't consistent though. Seems worse if the screen has been off for a while. Does anyone know of a fix, and if so, can it be incorporated into this ROM? I know there have other threads about this but it seems like they have been dropped.

I believe that the service must be activated on a stock ROM before flashing a custom ROM. Then, the correct APN has to be set according to the carrier under Settings > More > Cellular networks > Access Point Names.

I am not sure of a fix, and I have not encountered this issue, but have you tried enabling Wake device using the Camera button under Settings > Buttons?

I've tried that in the past. Forgot about it this time around. Tried it again and it seems to be about the same as the actual power button for getting the screen to come on correctly.
Good ol' Jewel. Is this rom working ok?
My wife is temporarily using my old Jewel because she dropped & broke her crappy samsung phone. can someone please tell me how this rom is working?
I appreciate your time!

The ROM is working fine for the most part. The battery is not great, but that may be due to the battery's age. Additionally, there is a bug with BoringSSL that sometimes prevents the Play Store or Gmail from working temporarily.
sounds good. yeah, I'm sure it's age. thanks man. take care-
Trouble with WiFi
Did a Full factory reset, installed rom, gapps, and supersu from TWRP, factory wipe again from TWRP; now the OS is installed and running but after connecting to my home network, says no internet access although the netork is up and running normally, all other devices connected. Any thoughts or suggestions. I have a backup of my previous state, so I can revert, but would like to keep this on 7.1 for consistency between this and my primary device. The primary use for this device is media streaming.

I believe that the WiFi issue have been fixed in the latest build (20170522).
Thank you for this rom!
I had been using cyanogenmod 5.0 and dirtyunicorns 5.1 both were solid roms. Unfortunately the latest apps seem to run a bit slow on them. I thought it was the device but after installing this rom everything is snappy! It manages 1gig of ram better than any other rom and that 1.5ghz dualcore still runs strong. Snapchat is way more responsive on this rom, instagram and fb run without problems. GPS, 4g, sms, wifi, camera, sd storage, everything works! I've only noticed a few bugs. The wifi activity arrows don't show when something is downloading/uploading but wifi itself does work. Also, even tho I have working active cell service, it tries to activate itself again everytime I reboot and fails but calls-sms-data continue to work lol. The biggest bug is that auto-rotation stops working after 30-60 minutes and it stays stuck on portrait mode. Nothing but a full reboot will get it working again, a quick softboot won't fix it. I've tried changing the rotation settings and also added some lines to the build.prop but no solution thus far. I love this rom so much, if it's not fixed I might try some auto rotation apps. One last thing, it would be cool if the # in the status bar would go away after I close whatever app has root. The previous rom I had did that. Thank you so much to all the developers for bringing life to this phone!

Thanks for trying out the ROM! The WiFi activity arrows are intentionally disable on LineageOS. I do not currently have an active cell service on this device, so I am unable to fix the activation bug for now. Could you flash the patch below in recovery and test if autorotation is working properly? It should also enable the option to hide the Superuser icon under "Status bar" > "System icons".

Hello everyone, I put a CM13 and she accepted the installation and updated the TWRP also, I put the gaps, I did everything, Android starts, but continues with the problem of falling straight into recovery and going to TWRP and something else when I can do it Start it is not with network signal, recohece the chip, but does not give network signal. I do not know what to do with this device anymore. Could you try to install lolipop on it? Which version could I put? Would it be because of being in 6? I installed this rom cm-13.0-20161022-NIGHTLY-condor only installed it right. thanks

Looks like you are using a very old cm 13 build.
Try this one. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224413102
This is cm 13 snapshot build by @Andersonmends.
Clean install is recommended ie wipe cache data internal and then flash this with pico gapps

Hello everyone, I installed Rom CM that the forum colleague indicated and the gapps and installed, everything went well in the installation and initialized Android, was very good in relation to the previous problems, nor know how to thank you. Just when I call it goes to the screen of the fastboot direct and I do not know how to make it not happen, but at least when the motorola logo appears it starts Android. I only notice a certain oscillation in the signal of the network of the operator and I did not find any file to download and to solve this problem of the signal of the network (or radio as you say) if they know where under some that can be installed for that Rom I thank you. I'll leave it for now and see if it's fixing. Thank you very much, ah, I would like to know if I should install the CM updates that appear on the device, it was so good that I'm afraid to accept it and thunder to give it a problem. Another thing he had TV, how to install this Rom? thanks

You can try flashing radio files.
Find one for your device from this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/development/rom-stock-motorola-lollipop-rom-t3167111
I m not sure why ur device is rebooting in fastboot. Generally the most common cause for reboot in moto e is faulty lock button. But that jst reboots the phone. You can try using the phone without pressing the lock button. Use volume key wake up option and double tap to status bar to lock.
Also did you wipe cache data internal before flashing ?
And regarding the updates it depends on you. The updates you are for sering are for cm 14 / lineage os. I personally believe that nougat is still not stable enough and features are still missing hence i advised you for mashmallow roms. But if you want to try u can visit the various threads in android development and android development sections and will find nougat roms.
For installing / flashing instructions read guides in general section.
