What is global generic firmware?
is it supported by all countries?
I belong to India country. Can i use that firmware?
I have a S3 with a csc THR. I believe its for IRAN region. Does anyone know when JB update is coming for this region as kies and OTA says that my phone already has the latest version.
Hellooo? Can anyone help me out here?
Your right about THR CSC.it belongs to Iran region.update for THR or so late. It's better for you to flash a custom ROM or go to sammobile and get a stock firmware for Pakistan or India

No need to change the csc. Just download the polish firmware and install using odin. I also did that and my phone works flawlessly
Is thare any advantage of using a Open Europe firmware compare with the county specific like NEE version? Anyone have a clue?
NO.
There is no difference besides region specific personalization.

that always depends on the change list doesn't it? higher change list = more changes, hence if an "open" firmware has a higher than NEE one, there are changes made, they can be carrier or country specific though too, no one knows.
anyway, next time post in Q&A section
There is no Open Europe firmware, all fw are region specific.

I guess with "open" he means without carrier branding

My alpha is the XEH model (unlocked - Hungary), though I´m using it in Spain. Is it possible to flash the Firmware from another country that has the Lollipop upgrade, such as France, on my phone? I´m new to the whole Odin, Kies, Samsung stuff since I come from a Nexus.
Thanks in advance
if you like to flash other FW than from France, than you should wait
antill now is only for France 5.0.2 FW
Just install the france rom from sammobile with odin. I already install it to my t-mobile hungary 850F version. Just follow the instructions.

It's Google stock font (ProductSans).
I installed it using Substrarum with the app from the link below:

Have you changed CSC at all? You said it's UAE but also XSG, and I thought they were the same. Does your CSC read XSG/XSG/XSG?

Says xsg/xsg/xsg, also says oxm it is supposed that is multi csc so I did the factory reset with my Chilean SIM but the csc didn't change. I will flash with Odin oreo but just want to know if it is possible to change to a Chilean csc before flashing.
Thanks in advance

That's normal and the same as mine. Strange that I got the Oreo OTA today and you didn't...not sure why.
OXM refers to the multi-CSC package our phone has. Since our home country CSC is not part of it, nothing changes for us when we insert our SIM. I believe you can still change CSC but I haven't tried that yet. I would check the CSC-change threads and read up from there.
