A1 Oreo Firmware: Google Drive
A1 Nougat Firmware: Google Drive
5X Nougat Firmware: Google Drive
FAQ:
Which one should I install?
If you plan to use Android One rom on the 5X, you should flash A1 firmware.

You should only install it whenever you switch from A1 roms to 5X roms and viceversa. If you update your A1/5X rom, there is no need to reflash it.
Where does they come from?
A1 Oreo firmware is extracted from January fastboot image (8.1.10)
A1 Nougat firmware is extracted from the December fastboot image.
5X Nougat firmware is extracted from China Stable 9.0.3.0 fastboot image.
How do I install it?
- Backup your EFS
- Extract zip file on your computer
- Reboot your phone into fastboot (Power + Vol Down)
- Connect your phone to your computer with an USB cable
- Double click on "flash_only_firmware" file.
- Wait until it finishes.
- Reboot into TWRP, wipe cache and dalvik and then reboot to system
How do I backup my EFS?
- Install my TWRP.
- Boot into TWRP
- Tap on Backup
- Check EFS and uncheck rest of checkboxes
- Swipe to backup
Is there any way to flash this without a computer?
At the moment there isnt any other way to flash it without a computer.
Does it give me an ability to install OTAs when flashed to A1?
thanks for the nice roms:good:

The firmware file in the OP should be unzipped in the same folder as the fastboot program in your PC.

Hi everyone guys,I'm from Dubai.United Arab Emirates. I'm in trouble.
Maybe i bricked my phone.
I Rooted it, installed TWRP, and then i updated it not with the TWRP.
Since then i have got a bootloop issue, stuck with the Honor logo.
I can access the BOOTLOADER and the stock recovery (i tried to wipe and reset the phone here, but it do all the things and don't solve the problem) and ERecovery (same here i've got an error)
Try to put an update firmware on the MicroSD and make it run but didn't do anything, what can i do
U sure its a bootloop? First boot after update can make about 30 minutes. Anyways Flash stock recovery and try the update with the SDcard.

So to clarify you flashed your stock recovery, put your extracted stock firmware on your external sd card under \dload. Then you entered recovery and installed the local update and it did not work?

can u give me this stock recovery download link
What's the exact model ? KIW-L21C432 ?
You don't need the stock recovery, just plug the charger, then the phone will boot on erecovery (second/alternate recovery)
You need the full ROM though, not an update.
If it's a KIW-L21C432, here is the stock ROMs:
KIW-L21 B140
KIW-L21 B330
unzip the dload folder, put it on you sdcard, then bot with the three buttons pressed.

- Make sure you have a stock recovery
- Unzip the downloaded file
- Remove your sdcard from your phone and plug it into your computer using a sdcard reader.
- Copy the dload folder with the UPDATE.APP file to your sdcard.
- Remove your sdcard properly from your computer and plug it back to your phone.
- make sure you have enough battery, so leave your phone connected to the main power supply.
- Hold Power On+ both Volume buttons at the same time : it could be tricky to pass this process, so you may have to repeat it many times.
- Once done, the update should start !
- Once you get a success message, wait long enough until the process complete.
- You could then search for newer updates.
- Finally, stop using Cyanogenmod if you're a noob.

Ok Sir
Hi guys,
I am using the link below to perform the restore to stock from CM13 but I think I am not interpreting the questions in this post correctly.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/guide-kiw-l24-to-stock-t3318268
I tried to follow them to get my Honor 5x back to stock rom (while still keeping TWRP) and it was a no go. I kept getting stuck in a boot loop. I was able to immediately reflash CM13 though and get it functionaly. Would someone be kind enough to verify for me as to what steps exactly I need to follow (including ROM names, etc.)? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.
@DigiGoon here's a person needing your help
I have a couple questions for you:
1) Before flashing CM13, what stock firmware version were you on? (e.g. b130, b140, b151, b331)
2) Before flashing CM13, did you take a NANDROID backup of your stock setup? Most guides have this step.
Follow these steps, and you'll get your stock ROM back.
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Boot into bootloader mode by switching off the phone then pressing only the Vol DOWN button, and connecting it to PC simultaneously.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this put that very UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.
Hope this helps you.
@DigiGoon

There is also a full, latest twrp, recovery backup o.o for b331
You restore everything except data, erecovery, and recovery... 1.6 gig download o.o does the job in one fell swoop as long as you have latest twrp.

It replaces the TWRP, and if you are flashing stock via 3 button method, then there is no way you can keep it, but if you are getting on stock by flashing individual files then just dont flash the recovery file and you will just have the TWRP alone.

As @gopinaidu77 said about three button method, its just that. And about the other one, in that you have to extract all the important img files from UPDATE.APP and flash it via fastboot commands.

Extract UPDATE.APP via Huawei Update Extractor tool, pull out relevant img files (system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, recovery2.img(if not in your device), cust.img) flash this one by one via fastboot by booting your device in fastboot mode, fire the given below commands.
Code:
fastboot flash <img name w/o extension> <full path to the relevant img file>
After this try the three button method, if it doesn't work then boot into eRecovery then tap "Download Latest Firmware". It will connect to Wi-Fi and will start downloading the latest firmware of your device. After the process gets completed you'll be on stock ROM with your bootloader in "Locked" state.
You are guiding wrong bro . There is a need of extension too. Else it will give error saying file not found

TL;DR: Nexus 9 bootloops with every ROM other than stock.
My Nexus 9 will bootloop whenever any custom ROM is installed on it. I follow the usual steps in TWRP (downloading ROM and Gapps, wiping factory reset, flashing the zips and wipe dalvik/cache) will not get any error during installation and regardless of the ROM, I will get my nexus stuck on Google logo. Then I will have to unroot and install stock again and it'll work.
Ive also tried Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit and it won't work either. As long as Im on stock, I can root as well and everything is fine.
Any idea what could be happening? I wanna get rid of the damn lag. Have tried Cyanogenmod, Slimrom6 and Pure Nexus Project. All with their recommended gapps and will always end up with my tablet stuck in the Google logo.
Any help is very appreciated.
Sounds like you are doing everything right..
How long are you waiting for the device to start up ? Is it possible you aren't simply waiting long enough ? I'd give it a good 10 - 20 minutes on 1st boot before deciding it's hung in a boot loop.
I am having the exact same problem. I have tried so many roms that install correctly and then when flashing gapps and rebooting it is stuck on the Google logo. And I left my tablet on for a few hours so its definitely bootlooping.
The only thing that comes to mind is bootloader... If you coming to androind 7.x from android 6.x, you need to flash new bootloader (for example via ADB), otherwise you'll end up in a bootloop.
yup, happening to me too. so, how can i flash the factory image now? thanks.

Thank you maelfilk, i got i running now.
CM boots properly now - though i cannot configure it. During the Setup process

with a later version of CM-14.1.
Does someone know any other source for CM-14.1 for flounder?
Meanwhile i will try AOSP again.
Edit: AOSP boots properly but unfortunately WLAN does not work in the AOSP_flounder_11-18-2016.zip build.

In the archive with bootloader is another archive with vendor and other images. Just flash it in twrp as in the instructions in the link you gave. If you have trouble with wlan or camera it usually means that vendor is outdated.

Hello everyone! I'm new on XDA and this is my first thread.
So, I've been messing around with my Honor 7 lately. I've flashed a custom recovery (TWRP), flashed a custom ROM (Unofficial CM13 for Honor 7: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/development/unsupported-cyanogenmod-13-honor-7-plk-t3542627) and root (SuperSU) and I've started to regret all of my decisions so I would like to take a fresh start (AKA flashing the STOCK ROM/Firmware)
Now, before anyone starts redirecting me to other (similar) threads, I've tried a lot. I tried to flash the stock recovery (a lot of different versions) but still when I try to boot into the stock recovery, my phone just reboots. I tried to do the force update thing (holding both power + & - buttons: http://www.gogorapid.com/flash-stock-rom-huawei-honor-7/), but this combination just boots my phone into TWRP. Could it be that I'm doing something wrong or that I'm missing something, like some requirements that are not being met? Please help me, I would appreciate it a lot! Thanks in advance.

It seems that you didn't flash the stock recovery properly.

Thanks for the reply!
Could it be? I booted my phone into bootloader (unlocked) and flashed stock recovery with adb using the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". I tried a variety of versions (from B100 up to B330 I think), but none of them seemed to work. What am I doing wrong?

Hey,
Sorry for the slow reply, I'm currently on vacation. Euh I already have TWRP installed right now, I just don't know how to install the stock recovery.

Grab the stock recovery file for your device. You can flash inside TWRP itself.

I tried that, read my second post on this thread. It didn't work, I didn't know which version I had to use. I ended up with a bootloop on various versions as mentioned in one of my first posts.

I planned on doing this though I don't know where I can get the firmware for my H7... Could you perhaps provide me a link? It would be very kind of you (+ The wifi here sucks, so I will try downloading firmwares when I get home)
Hello,
I've been using Mido over one year, never faced such a weird problem.Whenver I flash Pie Based Roms the whole screen goes blank when the Rom boots up.I've followed each & every instructions as per OP,still same result but everything works fine on Oreo/Nougat based Roms.I've used TWRP by warabhishek/Pitchblack TWRP/OrangeFox TWRP,I'm on latest 8.9.6 firmware. Tried almost every pie based roms/GSI for Mido.
Can anyone provide a fix for this issue?
Edit : So I've fixed it myself after researching on the MIUI forum. Some people got this issue on various xiaomi devices after updating MIUI,After they did a Factory reset everything went normal. So I decided to test this,I did things, which are mentioned below.
1.I was on Oreo Rom so I flashed a fastboot miui rom.(Don't lock the bootloader)
2.After the Miui rom booted,Turned on the usb debugging
3.Booted into MIUI Recovery, Performed a factory reset (I know it sounds strange, but stay sure it's going to work)
4.Flashed Treble-TWRP by abhishek
5.Once again format data from advanced wipe (Need to remove the encryption)
6.Wipe system>data>cache>vendor
7.Flash any Pie Rom & Gapps
8.Reboot
Now you won't face that strange black screen issue anymore.
Thanks
flash boot.img extracted from the rom.zip file after flashing rom via TWRP. When flashing finished, don't restart to System, select Restart to Bootloader then type below command.
Go to fastboot then type fastboot flash boot boot.img

Are you sure this will work? cause I've wasted many hours in flashing these Roms but no success. If you're quite sure about this I will definitely try this

And another thing is, when Rom boots up, If I press volume buttons, I can see volume sliders but nothing more.Everything else is black.

I tried your method, it doesn't work for me on 10. I am using CrDroid 10. I faced the same issue with some ROM in Pie also. Please advice.

Idk what's happening with you but I found this useful, while nobody had idea about this problem. You can try flashing older miui fastboot rom, like miui9/10 then perform a factory reset with miui default recovery.then try switching to other custom roms.Let me know the update.
