here's my first attempt at a modification package. it's all pretty much been done before elsewhere, but it's not been bundled together by anyone else for the arc, so i figured i might as well put it up here in case anyone else is interested.
it contains the following modifications:
* added new option to allow 'never' on screen timeout values
* http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19878267
pvyParts' battery bar modification and control application, along with a tweak suggested in the thread to hide the battery icon from the status bar.

hadramos' control panel and brightness slider on status bar pull down

if anyone feels that i've not acknowledged their contributions in any way, it's entirely through my own ignorance, so just let me know and i'll be more than happy to credit you for your work on here.
and no, don't bother donating to me for this - give it to those above who've made it possible in the first place
the install file is available here:
http://www.box.com/s/d8yeiv5u1gcsu470noai
all files are zipaligned, too, for those who care about that sort of thing
there is an undo file available here:
http://www.box.com/s/xvgpvjtcpp19hi0n1d8d
the uninstall will revert to the stock framework/res/systemui/settings/android.policy files, so backup these files for your own sake before installing this mod. my working installation is arconium 7.1, so that's where my starting point was for these files. i've had some issues with the uninstaller from time to time, though, so let me know if it's not working for you and i'll see what i can do.
it's my first ever mod, so please let me know what you think, and if you have any more suggestions that you'd like to see included post 'em and i'll see what i can do.
equally, if anyone wants to see my working files, i tried to split out the mods into individual changes from the stock decompiled files as i found that easier to keep track of the changes. if they're any use to someone, just ask and i'll send you my working files.
Looks Cool! Awesome Work Dude
Nice mod bro btw interested in 2G/3G Toggle mod? Unfortunately my current mod is out of bandwidth till next month so if you want to port it by yourself you'll have to wait until 1st March.. or go to like-p's page on XMP themes and apps and he already ported the 2G/3G Toggle to XMP
any chance of getting back to kill app on its own without all the other stuff?
thanks

2g/3g toggle mod could be a useful addition to this so thanks for the heads-up! i'll have a look and see if i can work out how to include it - i have to admit that the smali code is a complete pita to get my head around - such a shame apktool doesn't decompile into java instead as i've worked with that for over 12 years i don't suppose you know of a language primer for smali code at all?

Smali is essentially a java optimized for dalvik. It's easy to understand once you get used to it only that all the type is included in each object mentioned instead of one include directive on top of java file. another differences is that variable is assigned with a v (v1, v2, etc) and parameter is with p (p0 -> usually a replacement for 'this' inside object based function or just a first parameter in a static function, p1, p2, etc)

it's on once the files are installed for it, by all accounts. it's basically a tweak for better bass response from what i've been able to gather. there's more info on the thread i linked to above.

well, i've tried to keep the mods as separate as i can while i was doing them so that they could be combined. there's only a few that crossed over significantly, but the control panel mod was one of them. as it stands, i'm toying with the idea of trying to move it beneath the notifications as in landscape mode it takes up most of the available screen space, and the notifications aren't really visible. ideally, i'd do it more like miui, with the page of icons and a page for notifications, with the view defaulting to notifications if any are present. but that's just me - i really liked miui, but for some reason the touch-screen doesn't seem to respond properly on cm7/miui on the arc s. ah, well

sorry about that - i'll have another look at this later on today. might be as simple as me forgetting to put the correct jar file into the zip with a bit of luck :/

second attempt, then: try this instead just tried it on my phone, and seems to work fine for me this time. it still has the 'never' option on the display timeout in there too, as i'm a little pushed for time to pull all of those changes out, but there shouldn't be anything else left in there.
brilliant will give it another go, thank you

CyanMobile is an aftermarket ROM like CyanogenMod, MIUI, JoyOS, LewaOS and others that are build from source. Absolutely build from source based on CyanogenMod 7.2 and modifications form AOSP, AOKP, and Paranoid etc.
Play more with ROM
THIS ROM IS ONLY FOR NOOK COLOR (ENCORE) AND NOT FOR THE OTHERS
YOUR DEVICE'S ANDROID VERSION MUST BE GINGERBREAD 2.3.4 OR ABOVE
DO A FACTORY RESET/FULL WIPE BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM
FLASH VIA CWM RECOVERY OR OTHER CUSTOM RECOVERIES
IT'S RECOMMENDED TO NOT USE ANY APP2SD SCRIPT
DO IT WITH YOUR OWN RISK
This is my first source-compiled ROM port and thread, so, sorry if I disappoints you.
And please correct me if I'm wrong.
May I ask for your opinion about which dpi suits NC the best? 160, 200, or 240?

Bugs :
- Statusbar trackingview (the bottom part and background of expanded statusbar) doesn't resize like the top part of expanded statbar and its contents when it's in landscape mode.
- Some lockscreens doesn't resize according to screen's lcd density. They only look nicely at 200 dpi. Well, LCD density changing is NOT officially supported. So please tell me which dpi suits NC the best
- Boot animation and shutdown animation looks crappy
- Sense lockscreen is buggy (well, it's still beta, I mean the sense lockscreen)
- Tell me.

To report bug (specially FCs), please also provide the logcat. (A link to download it or to show it (pastebin etc). And please don't report for a bug that has been listed as bugs above.
How to do so :
1. Run Android Terminal Emulator and type "su", then tap "allow"
2. Type "logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt"
3. Wait for a little while (maybe around 10 secs) and stop it by pressing Vol Down + C then exit by pressing back softbutton.
4. The logcat should be on your sdcard

Have you done a factory reset/full wipe of /data and /cache before flashing this ROM? If not, you can try it now. And if it still doesn't boot, can you please upload the logcat? And also what ROM did you use before this?
I'm sure I've wrote in the first post that you need to do a full wipe before flashing this rom (well, after flashing will do just fine too) and it has to be gingerbread or above before flashing
I guess I just had a bad flash. But this ROM is cool. Its like AOKP, but based off CM7.2. The UI is as close to ICS as GB can get. The performance is on par to mirage. The settings can get a little confusing. There's a lot of UI tweaks. ICS Navigation bar. Pie Navigation. I like it. I like the DPI at stock. The default Make's it seem to big. The ICS navigation bar icons are blurry. But outside that everything is perfect.

Yeah the icons are blurry, because they were made for 480x800 while NC is 600x1024. I'll resize them later.
And by stock do you mean 160 or 240? Well, I got my NC from my uncle, It was already flashed to CM7 with 160 dpi as default. So I don't know how it was on the stock ROM ._.
Anyway, for better 3d performance, please remove "0 0 android" line from /system/lib/egl/egl.cfg
Be sure to leave an empty line and don't touch the powervr line.
Or just flash the flashable zip I attached at the first post.

Yes, as what I wrote in the first post. It's based on CM7.2, so it's gingerbread, with ICS/JB feel (well, not completely but it's enough for me )
I like this ROM. I'm shaving very little issues. Most issues are related to the UI tweaks, but that expected.
This is ny new DD until CM10.1 gets fast enough for me.

I would recommend using the latest MiRaGe kernel regardless of KSM. We tried KSM with CM7 and found that it is useless with Gingerbread.

Just useless without modifications in dalvik-vm. The simple modifications we tested in dalvik-vm were too simple and made the system worse. My conclusion is that full Android 4.0+ code base is necessary/ideal to use KSM.

Wait, shouldn't there be no problem if the kernel does support it but it's deactivated? It's deactivated by default anyway, so users can choose to use it or not. The reason why I still put it in the ROM though it's useless is just because I want to bring the full feature of the ROM.
Edit : Alright, I get it. Too much feature, specially the unused ones will only slow down the kernel, right? Thanks

Wow wow wow!! Downloading this SUPER ROM!!!!
Hilarious... I was just going to make a thread about this being officially posted. I've been running exodus for close to a week... very nice and very original features (MORPH FTW). All Hail the exodus train.
Looks neat guys. Downloading now!
Edit: Here's the first impressions. Over all very good start!!
ROM is super snappy even with animations set at 1x.
No camera or music player included. Both can be installed from Play Store though
FM radio does not work which is a deal breaker
Phone gets really hot during the usage
Battery life is average. Like other AOSP ROMs.
Awesome rom!
Lite. Realy lite! Very fast!
Everything else you can find on google play.
Thank You, Exodus team!
Any suggestions for screen on/off? Kernel?

that has not been implemented and i'm pretty sure doesn't work reliably for 5.1. (for the m7 anyway... i've never had much success but i don't use them anymore).
very nice
Wow nice quick ROM... great work! Thanks
Couple of questions:
- Any plans to have a logo2menu type feature? ie: pressing just above the htc logo acts as another button, usually for menu
- How about including configuration for volume steps?
Thanks

-I don't expect that ever to come to exodus.... the mentality of this build (as the leader says) is in the 'true spirit of open source.' So if you want a feature, add it yourself. (by devs for devs). That being said as someone that used to think i couldn't live without this feature... I don't miss it anymore and it helped prevent accidental presses.
-gravitybox has this feature... but again not in stock
in general exodus is looking for speed and battery life...

Thanks for the reply and answering my questions.
Ideally, my preference is to avoid additional modding apps like Trickster (which enables logo2menu) and Gravity Box, etc. Would be nice to have these features built-in.
However, I understand the developer's philosophy here so no worries.

FFS rly? Why U Do This? I just nested comfortably on CM and there is a release of ROM that claims to be superior with people on G+ getting nerdgasms from how good experience is. It also provides new intriguing features like morph and individual approach to community with few devices maintained and wanting my logs . I feel completetly baited now and can't resist flashing... Another one of my flasholic re-lapses is on team EXODUS, anyway FLASHING TIME :3
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
PROS:
Quick and smooth, more responsive than CM
Built in debloating tool for apps
Comes with no AOSP bloat
Apps are installing super fast
Data transfer rate in status bar feature (super useful)
Re-organized settings (easier to navigate)
Morph feature (read more here), you won't use it tho since Exodus is so much better
Quirks:
Having to setup hardware buttons behaviour
One has to setup ring tone from none
Status bar welcome was annoying - until I disabled it
Rom updater marks older builds as "new"
BATTERY LIFE:
Battery life is very good. Heavy usage with:
Some GPS
Always turned on LTE
Constant Spotify music over BT headphones
Half an hour of calls
Over 3h SoT when SoT included approx 1h or more of YouTube on LTE
Many SMS'es and much tapatalk
Got me this: Battery was about 85% after reboot from update. So everything i mentioned got like 65%
BUGS:
Ads blocking doesn't work
Some weird WiFi behavior, to be further investigated, and backed up with logs
VERDICT:
Seems we're here an we're here to stay. On Exodus.
Does this ROM have an option to update just the delta differences from the nightlies? (like CyanDelta).

Ad blocking does work just not 100% effective. Is only as good as the hosts list you provide. Will see if there's an updated list. WiFi reconnecting when coming out of deep sleep AFAIK is a cm-based bug on 5.1.1 as it's been reported on the other ROMs too. Thanks for the thorough review. I'll see if I can find some time to address your quirks list later today. It's been a really long time since I clean flashed and those are only from clean flashing

that's been discussed but the devs just have so much more they want to work on (they're focusing on optimizations then features). That and it apparently involves changing how their server is set up or something (i was talking to main dev the other day)

Yep, makes sense. One another major isseu for me is the FM radio not working but I guess thats from the CM base.

LiquidSmooth is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project.
Dedicated to providing users with smooth, stable and fast ROMs. A Lightweight modified AOSP base, and then add the features you crave!
***disclaimer***
While I make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your device.
I ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
If you are smart enough to download and flash software then you should be smart enough to assume all responsibility for modifying your device and take steps to ensure you have backups and a recovery plan in place.
I am not responsible for thermonuclear war or you bricking your device and smashing it against a wall after you made a hockey puck out of it.
ROM is built from current LS source and uses the CM Themes engine. I have another build using RRO Layers but frankly speaking RRO layers is sketchy at best IMHO and not yet ready for prime time without serious refinement. I built this as a hobby project because the SMT-900 has been sadly neglected by devs and because I'm a diehard LiquidSmooth fan. I hope you like it as much as I do. None of this would be possible without the time spent, hard work and dedication of the following devs:
chhaggerty for his device and vendor repos
crpalmer for the initial bring up work on all the tab family

I tried an alpha build of this about 6 months ago and I found it very impressive, notably with the built in Adiutor, with a 10% less footprint than CM. However, at the time I couldn't get my SD card to work, why I had to abandon. But, I will definitely try it now when it's up as a beta. I have really high hopes for the potential of this ROM./arc
It booted up smoothly, supersu and adiutor are pre-installed as system apps, proceeding installing Xposed and all my software (+4GB)...
Everything seems to run very smooth and the unit is very responsive. I will play around with adiutor a little, trying to find some optimal settings.
Thank you very much for bringing this up.

My fault,I had forgotten it was a system app.
Rom is working great & it's flying! So far, everything I've tried works well.
Is there a way to fix the 3 second delay when waking the device?

I was just wondering the same thing about the wake-up delay.
Also, the Kernel Adiutor seems limited to view settings, am I doing something wrong?

Kernel auditor seems to be working fine for me.
Update : I raised the minimum frequency to 300MHz & that helped the delay with waking the device.

Sure, you just click the 3 line menu in the upper left, click on CPU, & three columns will appear. Touch where it says cpu minimum frequency in the left column & all frequencies will appear. Than you click the one you want to use. I hope this is what you're looking for. If not, let me know.
Great nickster, many thanks, I will try it once I'm back on the ROM, currently I'm trying out the SlimLP. What app are you using to tweak the CPU is that one?

Hows the battery life on this? I am currently on the CM 5.1.1 and it isn't so great (since 5.1).
Also, does one need to update the firmware before proceeding? I would assume so.

I don't think it matters what firmware you're on actually. Battery life is the same as it is on cm which for me has been pretty good.
Can anyone confirm if Citrix Receiver works on this ROM?

Tablet freezing
I have an app that is causing this ROM to freeze. It is Nascar's mobile Raceview app. The app is VERY graphic intensive in that it use GPS to track the position of 43 race cars on the track and display full color animation of the cars during a race. You can choose any one of the 43 cars and zoom in on its image and follow it and the cars close to it around the track. And you can also change to pont from which you are viewing the cars. Almost as if you had a drone with a tilt and zoom camera.
My question is, is there anything I can do in the settings to keep it from freezing? I've used the app on tablets with far less capacity than the Tab Pro without any problems. And i've used it with other ROMs on this tablet without problems.

I bring to you another installment from my full oZoP project.
This one is usually kept for exclusive use control by my oZoP ConTroL app, but with the many requests and lingering release of the full oZoP I felt i could try and pump some juice back into this great device by showing the power and capabilities of this beast!!
Code:
native call recording with toggle
choose half-screen or full-screen caller id
custom background
choose image from gallery
any color solid
any color 2 stage gradient colors
call details text any color
incall button text text any color
incall dialpad numbers any color
incall dialpad letters any color
access to hidden service menus and settings
Screenshots
Screen Recording
instructions:
1. make a full backup if your current rom just to be safe
2. download the file
3. flash in TWRP
4. reboot and open the new oZoP Mods InCallUI app in your app drawer
5. show everyone and brag to them how you can do this and they can't!! HaHaHa
Deodexed rom is needed.
All other files are included.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY TESTED AND INTENDED FOR THE LG V20! For now at least. Once I get feedback from others that could change.
I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TRYING IT unless you are at the very least LG and I suspect the only viable applicants would be the G5 and v10 running Android 7.
No G6 and no other devices should even attempt to flash unless you know how to recover yourself.
(some features may not work properly because they are dependent on root and busybox installed)
I am not responsible for your mistakes or errors!!
Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm not going to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amount of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind and slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!
Anyway, I don't expect there to be many if any bugs! Been tested by myself and confirmed with users of this device!
BUG REPORT

1) Do i need a fully deodexex Stock/Custom rom?
2) Do i need the signature disabled ( patched services) mod from urs to be installed ?

NO, this is not a patch method zip!
This will completely replace your existing InCallUI with ths custom one.
The only way to revert back would be manually copy the files from you system before flashing,
pull the files from the rom zip of which your are running
or restore thhe Nandroid i suggest as step 1 of the instructions.
I have tested this many time and have had some test result feedback confirming the flash went fine.
I don't see any reason to go back to stock, unless of course you like the hideous stock look with the tiny color ID and stick figure drawing for unknow callers! Hahaha.
Just flash it, you'll be pleased with what you cam do! Just check the screenies and video.
As far as Google dialer goes, I've not used it and am not familiar with it or what ot does to yoir system.
Does it effect both the main and incall dialers or just the main dialer you call out with?
Left is main dialer amd right is incall dialer.

And what am I missing ? I have a back up. I flashed your zip . The app is on my phone and I've set it up like I want . Should the native phone app even be on my phone after flashing the zip? Or do I just open the native dialer app? When I open it it hasn't changed. Do i need to uninstall any applied themes ? Or anything else?

Same here, flashed granted root and configured to my liking but dialer hasn't changed.
Edit : seems to work only when placing a call
H918
That's no fun lol
So only the in call is being changed atm and not the dialer.
Just flashed it on WETA 5.0.7 which is the newest one as of right meow. Phone booted up properly and nothing seems wrong. Call UI shows up properly.
Only thing I had an issue with was the phone stopped charging even though it was plugged in and the fast charging notification was even showing up but my battery icon was actually going down. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and got the charger sound but the battery icon was still discharging. I navigated to the battery menu under Android settings>General and after it loaded that menu it went from discharging to charging. Kinda weird.
Just thought I would share for anyone else who experiences this.
Haven't experimented to much with this just yet and I realize its just the 1st version but I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of the icons. It would be great if I could have the stock icons for the buttons and numbers.
The full screen caller ID is fantastic ? great work on that. However I'm finding it very difficult to read based on the caller ID picture since you can only set one color for the text and buttons, it can be very hard to read or see the buttons. Maybe some font ehancements would help fix or alleviate the issue. Something like borders or drop shadows or something better that I'm not aware of?? The half screen option could actually benefit from this as well for the name and number field as it still can blend in depending on picture.
***I just realized that to activate the half screen caller ID option you just have to leave the full screen option unchecked lol. I thought it wasn't included yet or something and noticed that after reading about the half screen option in the OP :silly:? ***
One little note on the half screen option is the "Hold call" icon overlaps with the call timer.
Just trying to to give some feedback on it and thanks again for porting it out from your mod so we can try it early ? Kudos!

Hahaha!!! Come on guys... I thought the title of the thread "InCallUI" would be enough to understand that it is the dialer UI for when you're "In a Call"
if that wasn't enough I did list the features, one of which state "native call recording". I've only seen the call recording option available once you're "In a Call"
I guess Android is a little confusing to understand that they even have 2 separate dialers (which I did describe above including screenshots). In fact our android system has nearly 10 apk's, several framework jar files and other support xml files. So it is confusing.... I guess...
Anyways, This mod is usually exclusive to my full oZoP project and it will be included in the project along with the main dialer and many many other mods!!

I have not had or had report of the charging issue you report. This mod really should have any effect on that or any app associated with that portion of the phones activities?
As you a;ready noticed, this is v1 and it will be improved on.
That being said, the stock icons created problems being a single solid flat color and visibility in many screens. These one may not be the best style for everyone, but they are more visible in more situations and that is better for more people.
I also am working on getting color controls for the icons (as shown with the Button color WIP option, it works, but only for the redial call icon that shows when the call ends.
If I can't figure the coloring option I will either restore the stock icons or have a flashable zip to replace them actually, I've attached a zip to put stock back(I do not use these and can not support any color issues you may get as a result)

I'm not sure what issue you're talking about here?
As far as this mod goes, there are no major issues, some very minor theme style preferences maybe, but no issues here.
The link takes me to my XDA signature image, you want to know something about that?
In the future if you want better support, I suggest giving as much detail, including screenshots detailed noted for what you did, what you had going prior and the results after the flash. Logs from logcat as good, but don't always help (especially for user error, haha)
I also suggest reading the OP and viewing any previews that may be included. I actually updated the OP preview section with notes of what is in the screenshot.

That is a great looking feature, but at this time the control app is set as is. There is a lot that goes into these things and I am not at a time in which I can spend working on this kind of thing.
Not to say it won't eventually happen, maybe down the road after oZoP has been officially released and several updates have gone by, maybe.
I do thank you for the suggestion and am always open to, not promising, to any suggestions or request you all have!!
