Stuck on Checking for Updates... - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Every rom I try flashing gets stuck on checking for updates when I set up my mobile. It happened multiple times before but I went 1 step back and re-tried and It worked. Now It's just always checking for updates. Tried restarting several times, still the same. I fully wiped my mobile, flashed latest firmware for kate(7.12.14 including emmc_appsboot.mbn), latest rom(NOS & RR) and latest gapps(tried nano, micro, mini, aroma, same outcome). That keeps happening on NOS 8.1 and RR 7.1.2. Same flashing procedure followed for both ROMs. I always flashed ROMs this way and never had a problem. Any clue wth is going on? Using TWRP 3.2.1.0
Skipped the set up on NOS 8.1 and I get a message saying I can't connect to google services whenever I open up Play Store or attempt to add a Google Account. Still doesn't fix my issue skipping the set up.

LG G4 Unfortunately com.android.settings stopped working

i have LG G4 h810 5.1 official then after i update it to marshmallow using auto updates and when i clicked on security option in settings then i get error "Unfortunately com.android.settings stopped working" i try factory reset many times but nothing happens i think that the latest update which i applied to my phone has an error inside it.
can someone help me ?
same issue here man, i had been browsing all over internet trying a lot of solutions, none of them worked i tried to root the phone, install a new firmware, i cant find the right firmware for it. is there somebody who can help us?
I'm stuck with the same issue... How to fix it...
Have you guys tried other firmware such as Lineage os or cyanogenmod?
I'm stuck with same issue... Can't install apps from unveriffied source.
I also have been on this issue of setting app crashing when I try enter "Apps" in settings and click on any app, for weeks trying to fix it, including factory reset 10 times, clearing cash and starting new account on my phone, after I noticed it on my seldom used LG G4. But now it looks like I finally fixed it a minute ago (my com.android.settings stopped crashing, at least for now.) I used free App Manager by AndroidDeveloperLB from Google Play Store. It has option... something like uninstalling updates (or rolling a selected app back to the original installation). I uninstalled the update, and app "Settings" stopped crashing. Now I am waiting to see if system will install this update again, and if it causes crashing again... then I will think what to do... If crashes again, then I guess I will have to do a research and block updates for this app somehow)
Am stuck with same problem too. Cant install apps or set a lock code for my LG G4 H810 from ATT running on Marshmallow

I just fixed this issue on mine, only thing I did was restore my system through twrp. I made backups of prettymuch everything while the phone was experiencing bootloop because I guess I stopped google play services with airfrozen. Seems to have that effect anyway... So before factory resetting, decided to do a backup of system and data and prettymuch all the essential things, then reset and got the problem popping up in a fresh reset phone. Strange that my original more hacked and unlocked rom seemed not to have it... I couldn't enable debugging so I had to resort to twrp to figure out what to do and took a gamble and restored the system. Wow, so shocked when it showed up normal again.
So only take away is that the problem is isolated in the system part not data. If it is something to do with google play store and maybe I rolled things back to a previous version, I have no clue. Wish I could say for sure. If you don't have twrp, get it and you'll be back up in no time in some form I'm sure..

Problem with TWRP, boot, stock ROM and custom ROM (Mi A1)

So, to begin with, yesterday Mi A1 got the Android 9 update. As I always do, I went to uptade it with Magisk (it worked with 8.0 to 8.1 and with every security patch, so I, as a newbie, thought, "why the h3ll not?"). Obviously, it didn't work and I got into a boot loop. So, here are the [lot] of things I have tried to do.
-Downloaded MiFlash and the latest OS version from Xiaomi site (8.1 witch november patch). Tried flashing a lot of times, I always get the boot loop after installing it. Wiped all data with TWRP and still didn't work. Always the same problem. Tried with different versions as well.
-Downloaded latest AOSP ROM for the device, flashed it, wiped cache and data, instaled TWRP (3.2.3-0), but the system never initiates. Doesn't even restart (20 minutes after my last try and it still is in a black screen).
-I've tried the same thing with Lineage 15.1 as well. Checked with MD5 in both roms. Doesn't work at all. Followed every tutorial I could, step by step, don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Can any one please help me? I don't know what to do anymore.
EDIT 1: So, I thought nothing happened, but after installing AOSP, I rebootet the phone holding the power buton, and during boot, I can see the "Powered by Android" from the custom ROM for a few seconds, but then the screed turns black and nothing more happens.

Weird Behaviour with Poco F1

I'm running miui 10.2.3.0 non-root LB. Following has been happening even after multiple times even after clean stock ROM installation:
-My apps keeps crashing , closing for no reason at all.
-I'm using my phone & suddenly the screen goes black for a few seconds, network goes away then comes back to normal. This happens 2-3 times a day.
- I'm unable to update to the latest miui with OTA, after I install the OTA, it says OTA update failed installation. I tried multiple times then I have to reinstall stock ROM.
Can someone help me out to figure to the issue?
UPDATE: My motherboard was the issue. It has been replaced now & now the phone is working great!

Hard reset your phone
If that doesn't work then flash latest rom after clearing all data

I clearly wrote in the first line that I have installed the stock ROM multiple times. The main behaviour happening everytime is the black screen issue. Hard reset might fix the app crashing.

Go to service centre then i guess. Thats the last hope it might be hardware issue

Try factory resetting , if that doesnt help install stock rom again. If nothing works go to service center.

First boot stuck on "Check updates"

Hi to all, in the last two months i'm trying to update my mi pad 4 plus from Havoc 2.7 to a new verion.
Updating to havoc 2.8 from ota apparently works but then gmail, calendar, note cannot sync and give errors.
I have tried a clean flash, wiped data/system/vendor/cache, formatted internal data, no differences, on the first boot after setting the wifi connection the tablet stay constantly on "Checking for udpates" and no way to go on.
i tested different roms (PixelExperience, Havoc 2.8, Omnirom) but from the august updates nothing works, the only rom is working is the 2.7 Havoc of july (restore backup or clean flash).
I tested every possibile combination, with or without gapps (tried different version and always checked the md5), with or without root but no difference.
When i have writed in differente thread this problem they always answer me to "go back and change wifi", check and re-download rom but also after check this no differences, always hangs on the first "Check updates".
If i skip the wifi connection the tablet try to start but immediatly say "no connection".....
Someone have the same problem and know eventually how to fix?
Thanks

Can't sign in to google account

I recently tried out android 11 Awaken rom but decided to go back to reloaded android 10 as it was very stable. I decided to do a clean install but when it came to set up i could not log into my google account to finish setup. I had a backup of my reloaded rom so i was able to restore. I have tried several times to flash a clean install of different android 10 roms but all fail because i cannot log into my google account. I am lost as to what is stopping the connection. I have no problem connecting to my router but something is stopping the connection to google. Any help would be gratefully accepted.
Same problem here, but it started when I switched from Paranoid android to pixel experience.
I think I face the same issue. I posted it here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/help/sign-google-custom-roms-unless-sim-card-t4184877
If i remember correctly, it started after I switched from paranoid android to another rom. However once I reinsert sim card I can login to google without any issues. But now this problem happens everytime I flash a new rom.
