Best mobile VR Headset for x820. - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I just get the leeco le max 2 x820 and I am eager to find him some VR mobile headset. I'm using my HTC vive since its original release so I'm not new to VR but I am new to mobile VR.
My phone is running the Final 5.8.5 Resurrection Remix Rom (Android Nougat 7.1.2).
So far I get :
- Most of the headset I see on amazon are cardboard like (but in plastic) without the controller (that sucks)
- Daydream store is locked (but easy to get in it with another smartphone), GearVr store is locked (is it possible to access it with a hack and that phone/another headset? Since the le max 2 is too big for this headset), same goes for the xiaomi store I think but since it's all chinese...
- The xiaomi white Vr Headset with controller ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBH91MhRtdg ) looks great, but I was unable to find if there was some hack to have it to work with the x820 (since it's locked to the : Xiaomi 5, 5s, 5s Plus, Note 2 )
- The gearvr is locked to : Galaxy s6 to Galaxy s8 (even If I saw someone managing to get some lg phone on it). My phone is too big for it anyway unless I missed something.
- The daydream headset can host my phone and I saw some hack for it in here with file edits. But as the gearVr it's kind of expensive for what it is ( 110 bucks when we could get a Microsoft MR Headset for 250 a month ago... ).
My goal is to play games (especially Keep Talking and nobody explode that I often play on my HTC Vive) that are on the mobile store when I'm not at home or going back to my familly. So most cardboard headset are kind of a no go because of their lack of controller and unfited support for the store I aim.
Has anyone with the le max 2 intended VR with it? Any advice? Have I miss some good headset or compatibility?
Thanks

Do all Bluetooth V4 phones support LE?

Hi,
Apologies if this is a dumb question - have tried searching but no clear answer found....
I am after the cheapest possible Android phone that my son can use to control his BB8 Sphero toy - which apparently requires BT V4 LE support to work.
I have noticed the Vodafone Smart First 6 is going really cheap and has BT v4 - but no mention of LE in the specs.
Can anyone confirm if the above will work with the Sphero or do I need a phone that specifically states BT V4 LE in the specs? Does anyone know a cheap basic phone - readily available in the UK that will work?
Thanks

I can't decide which phone to buy. LeTvLe2 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

I'm planning to buy either the Redmi Note 3 or the Le2 and can't decide which is better.
I'll list the pro's and cons for each. I hop you guys can provide a sound argument for which is better. Both of these phones are priced the same at 11,999 INR. And both of them have very similar specs. Otherwise both of them have 5.5" 1080p displays, 16MP rear facing camera, all the same sensors.
LeEco Le2
1. Snapdragon 652 (4 a72 cores, 4 a53 cores)
2. USB type C port for CDLA audio (no 3.5mm headphone jack)
3. Thinner and Lighter than Redmi Note 3 (7.5mm and 154g)
4. Quick Charge 2.0
5. 3000 MaH battery.
6. No SD card support.
7. 8MP front facing camera
8. No custom ROM support (yet)
9. Fingerprint sensor detects at 0.150 secs
Redmi Note 3
1. Snapdragon 650 (2 a72 cores, 4 a53 cores)
2. 8.7mm thin and 164g
3. Quick Charge 1.0
4. 4000 MaH battery
5. SD card supported
6. 5MP front facing camera
7. Custom ROMs are avialable
8. Fingerprint sensor detects at 0.300 secs
So it seems to be a matter of wanting a thinner, lighter phone with updated specs in the case of Le2 Vs more battery and expandable storage but older specs.
I plan to flash custom roms soon, but I would like to know, if it's getting the latest specs that's better than having more usability(with extra battery life and storage capacity).
Please help. Any advice is welcome.
P.S I've owned a Moto E 1st gen, been on cm ever since it came out.
It all comes down to your opinion and preference, le2 doesn't have sd card support, usb type c headphone jack,it has good scope for custom ROMs as it has snapdragon processor but I came here to know if le2 has any active development but there is no seperate forum or thread for it yet it may be in the near future but redmi note 3 has a specific section already because it launched before le2
You can buy le2 if you feel 32 gb is enough and you will be content with it, if you are like me and will download large files like movies, songs of high definition play many games then you shold buy the redmi note 3 with 128 GB memory card support because 32gb just wouldn't be enough, I saw some place saying that redmi note 3 can even support up to 256 GB maybe don't remember where I saw it though
In performance le2 would have an upper edge but just a tad bit. But the camera lens of le2 looked ugly to me and i saw the comparison of both the phones cameras and the le2s camera was a BIG no-no for me because it captured day light pictures of flowers as if they were in low light, I was having the same doubt about which phone to buy so I researched a little bit for the camera review and found redmi note 3 to better just look it up in Google, bcoz I'm unable to post link here
Just hang around for a bit and see what goes on in xda regarding the development
The link to redmi note3 forum-
forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3
There is development for both snapdragon and mediatek look out for available ROMs for snapdragon . And something called le2 pro with better specs than le2 is releasing soon just look it up.
And lol I am using the moto e 1st gen too on stock android and i typed all this on my phone
Both of those will be hard to get any real development as developers don't buy either of those devices.
So don't use development as any real way to determine if you are gonna get the device.
I've decided to go for the Redmi Note 3. But it doesn't seem to be in stock for now (Flash sales). Figured the Le2 wouldn't give me enough screen on time, I travel a lot, and GPS and 4g would kill that 3000Mah battery in two to three hours flat. (Lol, especially with Pokemon Go coming out and all). And I'm using the Moto e 1st gen too, cm13 . Camera doesn't have to be great. Come on... coming from moto e, you should know that, that phone didn't even have auto focus, leave alone low light performance XD. So I'm just looking for the best price to performance ratio phone for my budget.
And I was looking from more of a hardware perspective to buy a phone, rather than development. Thanks for replying on this post. :good:
Choose the more experienced one
LeTv is actually a pretty new phone developer, they have just started the phone marketing recently. Their TV is actually really nice. But Xiaomi has been doing smart phone for a few years already. Recommend you to get Redmi, because it might do better in a time base.

I ordered it a couple of days back, only snapdeal could deliver to my address. Should be here before 18th. This would be the first time I would be trying anything other than stock android (other than HTC sense from cupcake xD)

Don't forget to video record when your opening the package incase of fraud you can have it as proof, and if taken as cash on delivery call the courier person in and make somebody give him a glass of water while you open the package and then give him the cash, you have to be careful shopping online from flipkart and amazon, and extra careful shopping on snapdeal. And I like stock Android my moto e is almost stock android, but miui is much better and with the 3 GB ram its going to be super smooth.BTW my phone is arriving on Wednesday, can't wait XD
I already paid with credit card. Thing is, the courier is India post. But fortunately the post office is nearby and I know the delivery guy. So hopefully there shouldn't be any problem.
And thanks foe the video recording suggestion. I'll do that just in case.
But another problem has come up. Apparently it's difficult to unlock the bootloader for xiaomi devices now.

Which headphones are you using?

Hi everyone!
I've started this thread for everyone to share which headphones are you using (as the title say) and your sound experience with them.
Actually I'm using the mee audio m6p
http://www.meeaudio.com/M6P-CL/
And this sounds very well for my taste
I'd like to see your replies and experiences :good:
Currently with stock earphones (MH410c) they are not that good, but they get the job done. Also I have tried Samsung Galaxy S6 earphones, they are much better

Right now XTZ EarPhone 12 Quallity brand quallity is on par with premium earphones, love them so much http://www.xtzsound.eu/product/earphone-12
been using Sennheiser MM30G for a year
Sony MH 750

Xiaomi Pro HD (Hybrid)

tried out them and the Piston V2,
is it normal that NO sound control works on the M4 Aqua ?
Or are special headphones needed ? (e.g. headphone designed for "Apple" / iPhone)
currently running latest Marshmallow ROM (stock kernel + stock ROM)

I think is something on the headphones like a config on the conector.
It's like a comuncation protocol.
SOMIC V4 Double Drivers.
They're alright.
Hi
Im using LG quadbeat 3 (its from LG g4) and Motorola earbuds 2, booth sounds supreme. I cant post the links
KZ AS10, NiceHCK NX7
after taking some time to take a look at the installed apps and disabling lots of components of the ROM sound doesn't randomly set itself (on its own !) to max volume anymore,
also it doesn't randomly stop the music anymore.
So it clearly was some component wreaking havoc
finally it can be used as a music player (or backup phone) :good:
The noise floor is a bit high though (with sensitive earphones or BA [balanced armature] ones)

Gamevice for the Pixel 3 XL an option for Razer Phone's ??

Well like the title speaks for it self, i've checked out the dimensions of both the Pixel 3 XL and the Razer Phone (1st gen, not Razer Phone 2) and it seems like the dimensions of both phones are almost equal.
Razer Phone:
158.5 x 77.7 x 8 mm
6.24 x 3.06 x 0.31 in
Google Pixel 3 XL:
158.0 x 76.7 x 7.9 mm
6.2 x 3.0 x 0.3 in
So the actual size difference between them is that the Razer Phone is more in dimension with:
Length: 0.5mm / 0.04 in
Width: 1mm / 0.06 in
Thickness/Height : 0.1mm / 0.01 in
Im going to order one and see if its fits and working and keep this thread updated. The Gamevice for the Pixel 2, 2 XL, 3, and 3XL is available in the U.S. for $79.99 on its website and the Google Store. Amazon already carries previous models, so it's reasonable that this one will also find its way there soon. So for the moment i can't find any that can be shipped to The Netherlands (sad enough they sell the pixel series but no accessoires for the phone on their website )
i know that the shape of both the phones are not the same though its worth to give it a try ?!?!
And if its works it may be an idea to port (if possible) game genie as seen as on Asus Rog Phone with gamevice attached to remap on screen buttons to the gamevice itself.
All of this are just ideas for the moment
And sorry for my English im trying at least
Did it work?

i still don't have the gamevice yet its not available yet and they dont ship to the Netherlands and can't find it anywhere else online so im stuck with just waiting till its available..
But im also trying to figure out a way to get Sixaxis Controller app to work on the Razer Phone but it just doesn't (dont know whats wrong with the bluetooth in Oreo) but i keep it updated once i have progress on the controller & the app.

Virtual reality

So, I is there any cardboard or vr goggles that works with this 6,9 inch display?
Please send some recommendations...
No support for "Gear VR" as ocolua is not in cooperation with Samsung. And Samsungs own mixed reality headset is for use with Windows PCs.
I start to regret having bout the Ultra
Yeah it sucks - we finally get a badass phone with the hardware to do some great VR processing and Samsung doesn't support Gear VR a couple generations ago. I have the OG white and 2nd gen black Gear VR and neither will my Daydream VR work with the S20
I wish there was a way to make any of them work with this phone.
I'm back to using the old S7 for VR.

is it possible to side load another APK for video and such on the gear VR? (essentially use the gear VR as a "cardboard" VR so to speak).
