It mean's that I have restored all definitons, not total factory reset.
I had migrated from Mate 9 pro, using phone clone, but something was not working well...
as I don´t know well how betterbatterystats works i don't know if 100% Awake while screen off is good news. I hope it is

Hello , i own Honor 9 for 3 days and its very good phone.
Only thing that i "hate" is when i press home button there is like 0.5 sec. delay before it goes to main screen...
I tried Factory reset, phone restart, google assist turned off - nothing seems to work
Finger print scanner works fast. No problem with it.
FW: B150
Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks
That because a simple touch is like previous. And if you hold for a second you go directly to main page. So it's normal
Mine has the same. Strange thing is that after a few hours usage it turns fast/instant all of a sudden. Then if I reboot it's back to the delay and then fast again after a little time. My first unit did not have this behaviour it was fast at all times. It had a faster fingerprint reader too. Not sure what is going on other than some kind of hardware differences.
Its normal don't worry about that.I too had a donor phone so I know this
That is strange as the Honor 9 has one of the best fingerprint scanners on the market.

Even past Huawei and Honor fingerprint scanners were much faster than those used in other android OEMs.

That's definitely not normal. I've made a video https://youtu.be/DG4PvJePUAY
You can see a noticeable difference on the left phone.
I'm returning mine as this seems like hardware defect to me.
I have the same problem. Is it really an hardware problem and it is not possible to fix it by software?
Same here. Sometimes it even stops working, but rebooting brings it back (to delayed mode). Unlocking with fingerprint scanner always works super fast though. Anyone else with the same issue?
I got my AL10 version from china some days ago and i dont have any delay issues with the home button. Its really fast without any delay.
Maybe the ones from you that got problems should write down their version and used firmware. So we can compare. I dont think that this is a hardware issue.
I just assumed it was a hardware issue as it stayed even though I did a factory reset. Maybe a future update fixes it but I wouldn't risk it because my phone was new and I wanted one that was all good.
Settings
You can just go to the developer settings and tick "animation time" to 0,5

Maybe it's an issue with the update running on your phone.
just bought honor 9 and I have the same problem with the home button delay. Is it a hardware or software problem? has anyone solved the issues?

Hello
I m very interested by mate 20 pro . Is anyone can test android auto please ?
I'll let you know as have pre-ordered this beauty for Friday ?
Android auto is working fine for Spotify and for Google Maps - however the Dialler doesnt work and in my Audi, when a call comes through it makes the MMI screen turn Black and I have to disconnect the phone to get Android Auto to come back up.
Robert
Same issue here in my Ford with the Mate 20 Pro. Tried using Google phone app instead of Huawei dialler as others had suggested for issues with P20 pro in the past but the issue still persists.

I had the note 9, and I feel the mate 20 pro is miles ahead. Yes there is some issues but I'm confident that Huawei will fix these and hopefully fairly quick. I returned the note 9 to Vodafone after 3 days as was extremely disappointed

Same issue here
I'm experiencing exactly the same in my VW Golf - have moved to Mate20 Pro after being long time Apple user. This is really frustrating - I wish I'd found out about it before buying.
I think it is something to do with the fact the default dialer is not compatible. I couldn't install the google dialer and set to default (which I think would fix it).

Already tried this unfortunately and it didnt fix the issue.
I recommend bringing this to Huawei's attention it'll be a case of the more people make a fuss the more likely they are to address it I know it took them some 2 years to support Android Auto at all on their phones.
I talked to UK live chat and reported a bug. They wrote it up and assigned it to development. Which was really nice to hear.

Where did you get the live chat?
From the HiCare application.
Tried mine today, in vw passat had no issues making a call at all. Maps and Spotify also worked fine. I did have to swop to a higher quality shorter cable as it disconnected after 30 seconds but with new cable no issues here.

Hello, this is the battery graph of my daily use on MI 11i with basic apps like whatsapp and facebook. Situation has been the same since the day I bought the phone but I was patiently waiting to see will MIUI 14 fix it but it didn't. I should have returned it the very fast day I bought it. I didnt expect 700 euro phone will have faulty software or battery out of the box. I have to turn on airplane mode during night since if I don't "Other" will drain 50% battery overnight, also I can't reach the end of the day without charging. Overall phone is not useable and I am wondering is there an battery upgrade that I can install by myself? I had to install battery monitor and it reports that under kernel wakelocks, "RMNET_DFC" is constantly waking up the phone, there is nothing about it on google.

Helo, I removed quiet a bit of apps like msa and joyose now since it looks like they got reinstalled by the update, and it seems the RMNET_DFC wakelock has been almost completely fixed, over night it used to be 7-8h of usage, but now its 40-1 hour. Another thing still persists, and that is "SNS_SMD Wakeup" in "Sensors" tab according to the GSAM. It is constantly waking up the phone. I have linked that process to google play services by the help of other forum, so i tried to remove permision like using sensors and things like that from play services but it didn't seem to help.

Yes, i thought it is hardware problem since start. First xiaomi i had, note 4 for 3-4 years, was great phone. No issues with software or build quality. After that i got note 9 pro. Very first day, power button got stuck and i had to use double tap to wake up since i had to send it back to repair and be left without a phone on the job. After half year of use the button caused short circuit and i had to send it to repair, but since repair takes over a month, i decided to buy one of the best they had so got mi11i even thou i dont play games and sold the note 9 pro after it came from repair. This one again the very first day i got it, i noticed bad battery life. This will be my last xiaomi phone for sure

I have battery drain on MIUI 14.1 Indonesian too. "Others" is taking much battery. Do you think I should try downgrading? To which version?
Or did you find a solution?
Thanks in advance.

I think that the battery is faulty. I tried to keep the screen on non stop until it drains the battery and i had 3.5 hours of screen on time. "Other" wasnt in the battery tab anymore while phone was awake.

I don't think so because the Phone isn't that old or hardly used by me. Anyway, if downgrading doesn't work, I'll try changing the battery.
