Any ideas how to fix this
If you turn off ok Google voice recognition, the watch will speed. Google broke this working right with 2.0 and assistant. Like they want aw to fail or something.
You can try to disable the option "alway-on display" it seems that the watch is going at a normal speed

Has anyone else gotten this to work? I enabled the options in Google now and trained my voice but testing repeatedly, Google Now only recognized the hotword when I have Google now physically pulled up. Not even working when the screen is on and not in Google Now Launcher.
This works for me... I was curious if there was a way to enable wake on hot word? Anyone know? Silly when I see people on the moto x , but I still want it...
Hot word detection isn't working from the lockscreen or with the screen off for me, even though i have the options enabled. Is this a bug, or am i missing something?
So I'm not the only one with this problem...
For folks that don't know, you can enable Moto X- like hotword detection when the screen is off. You enable this through the Google Now settings under the Voice tab, selecting the "OK Google Detection" option. Enable all three options in the next screen to (try to) enable hotword detection at all times.
Unfortunately, it isn't very reliable for me. Hotword detection works fine in the launcher or in the Google Now app. But it often doesn't work the rest of the time.
Definitely you're not alone Same problem here. OKGoogle only works when I'm in the launcher.
Same here. I am using it with English US as primary and German as secondary language.
No results until i am on the Google Now Launcher....hopfully just a little buck in our version of Android L.
I have the same issue. Please everybody report this on the feedback within google now .

Issue still exists here on 5.0.1
Hi
I am trying to get google to work by using the OK Google voice recognition. it works well when phone is unlocked but it wont work when phone is on standby. I have tried following instructions, enabled what needs to be enabled but its not working. The option to enable the action on "any screen" doesn't work?
the S6E doesn't have as many options as the nexus series and I dont have these options on my BTU phone...

there is an option in Google Now -> Settings -> Voice -> OK google detection ....a check box exists here stating:
When Locked
Allow "OK Google" to start a voice search or action from a secure lock screen
Click to collapse
are you using this?
Thanks
this sheds some light for those who have the problem too..

Hi everyone,
We sincerely thank you for your patience again as this was sorted out. The team was working on smoothing out some compatibility issues, and this missing feature was an unintended result of it. However, as mentioned in previous messages, the engineering team was made aware of this high-priority issue when users initially reported it and they have been diligently working on providing a solution since.
Now, we are happy to share that the "From any screen" function has been fixed for S6 and S6 Edge devices on the Google Search App (GSA), and the fix is actively rolling out to users. To ensure that this feature becomes available to you soon, please ensure that you are running the most up-to-date version of GSA (4.5+). Please note that “Ok Google” from any screen will be available, however remaining compatibility issues mean that turning on the feature will limit the availability of S-voice hotwording to only when the screen is off. Users who prefer to avoid this can turn off “Ok Google” from any screen.
Thank you again for your feedback and patience as we got to the bottom of this!
So it doesn't work when screen is off. only when screen is on (in or out of lock mode)
Dear all,
I have a Fossil Q Founder 2.0 since yesterday, running Android Wear 2.0. Basically, I am quite happy. But I am a fan of the Google news feed on my Nexus 5x (running Android 8.0 "Oreo"), ans as far as I know, the watch should display some (or even all) of the content, e.g. weather, traffic and upcoming appointments. But the Google app in the watch ("My Feed") only gives me a single tile that reports the current weather - that's it.
I did a Google search to find a solution and followed the most common steps to resolve issues:
I tried to reset the watch to factory settings. I re-installed the Google app on the watch and deleted its data and cache.
I even deleted the cache of the Google Play Services and of the Google app on my phone, and I re-installed the Android Wear app on the phone.
I tried to use the stable as well as the "beta" Google app on the phone.
All software is up-to-date both on my phone as well as on the watch.
Nothing helps - I still get only the weather tile. Maybe it is related to Oreo on my phone?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tobias
I have been also trying to figure this out anybody out there have a solution?
My Q Founder 2 gen updated to Oreo https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=74863033
today and only weather in feeds stay there...
It's the same on the Gen 3 Fossil Q Explorist
hello,
i got xgpax S99C from dx.com and i realize this watches have full android 5.1.1 and are not WEAR OS so i was searching on the google something about them and i realize full google always find only wear OS and answers on it but this is not wear OS so when i get some app from play store are not optimized for circle display and i have option change view for square but is smaller and my question is:
exist some app for me to be able for example scroll aplication to middle of my display and then i will be able to use menu or buttons on the edges of application ? i cant find any apps. all i found was clockfaces for some KW88 and this works also on my watches
- another question: im looking for some app to monitor my heart rate and sync with google fit. watches have heart monitor but no other options to link with google fit and i cant find working alternative for watches
if i will be able fix this somehow on this smart device i will be happy but until now ...i realize some expensive wear OS, tyzen or another OS watches are mutch better and i recommend to take them instead of this cheap S99C
Do not update your fossil watches to wear OS 3! I didn't think much of doing updates but it has ruined my watch. If you want a fit bit then do the update, otherwise stay well clear!
Here's the tale:
I recently got the latest Fitbit, after 24 hrs of use (and at work) I realised how completely useless it was for me. I like the idea of seeing my steps and heart rate, but ultimately it's a fitness tracker and had very limited Google support imho. I need to access Google assistant, music control, and reading my messages. It couldn't even control the volume Very little more. So I get the fossil gen 6 in replacement.
Within 2 hours I knew this watch was x1000 better for me. I was even impressed that the assistant wasn't just a basic version, it had access to my smart home. Loved it.
So carelessly I let it do it's updates, thinking little of it.
Here what I lost and gained:
No Google Assistant Alexa only.
custom quick launch sucks, limited apps, lost top button to none existent assistant. [Edit]
Music controls do not seem to work correctly.
Certain watch faces have been removed like facer... Or at least it won't work for me...
The reading of notifications has changed more clumsy
Quick settings have more there but now is more fiddly.
With no assistant I can't set reminders, calendar events, control the smart home, can't access music or torch with 1 touch. Battery also seems to be draining FAST!
And a pet hate... The app interface won't change to dark mode.
what did I gain?
Slightly better looking interface.
Can access more watch settings on the phone via fossil app.
Much better presentation of health stats in the fossil app. Comparable to the fit bit. I can imagine it's much better as a fitness tracker. That's not what I wanted tho.... This does seem to come at a cost to battery.
So please heed my warning! If you don't want a Fitbit, don't update.
