My 360 has been dying at 60% battery. How do I drain it to 0% and recalibrate if I can't get past 60%?
Same problem here. Just mine dies at 89%.
It is a known problem after 2.0 update.
If you Search on google there are lot of people having same issues and tjere is no solution.
Motorola or lenovo are refusing to help.
But i can live with that because from 100% to 89% it takes a day and half to die
Fixed mine by unistalling/shutting down Moto Body app and Moto Connect app. Issue seems to be fixed by this 'workaround'.
Got this fix on these XDA-forums (kuddo's kimlongyakura)

I am really interested to understand how you can live 1,5 days with 11% of battery capacity (it means from 100 to 89)
How ??
Thanks

The battery needs to be replaced. Trust me you won't find it's battery easily.... I got mine shipped from overseas (at a very reasonable cost). Mine was shutting off at 20% and rest of the battery was draining too rapidly like if i installed any app it was dropping 9-10%. Now that i have changed it. Works pretty well Can last two days with ambient off and wifi turned off (your watch can access internet even when the wifi is turned off) so it has made a drastic improvement. Also replacing the battery myself was really a tedious job. While putting it back had to make sure the watch is water resistant to some extent again.
I changed the battery but I had some improvement just for few days
Very quickly the watch become unusable again
I deciderti to buy a new one
Now I have a TicwatchPro

My YP-GI1CB (US Player 4.2) has a terrible battery problem..
It all started when a USB cable problem caused a charging issue. My battery heated up to well over safe temperatures, and afterwards everything seemed fine until it became very clear something was wrong. Now, my battery will only last me 4-5 hours on most days. This is a HUGE inconvenience and I need help.
Is it possible to reset battery statistics on the device, or will I have to buy a replacement battery?
Thanks in advance, 64kb.

leave it plugged i for 12hrs roughly and if when you take it off, it still only lasts 4-5 hrs then you need a new battery

Wiping battery stats only resets the counter in android (which happens everytime you recharge anyway) IT WILL NOT MAKE YOUR BATTERY LAST LONGER.
Hello,
I own a Jiayu G4 Advanced for about a week now and I have been having these weird battery drops. Whenever it reaches about 40%, it drains to about 10% in just minutes. Anyone else experiencing this or know a solution? I already tried battery callibration, newer version of the ROM and even a factory reset without result...

You can install some battery saving apps such as Du Battery Saver, Battery Doctor, Juice Defender etc. It may help you to stop the drain of your battery.
Hit THANKS If It Helped You
I don't think that will help, since my battery is not draining fast in general, but only when I reach about 40%. So something must be using a lot of the battery but I don't know what.
Old Problem
Its an old prblm with android. Android is power hungry. I think theres a prblm in your battery.
Same Problem.
Hey, i got a Jiayu G4 Advanced, also having the Problem you described.
For me this happens when the battery reaches 30%. After that it'll go down to 15% in minutes, and from there on it becomes normal again.
It's not caused by powerhungry apps, because when it's over 30%/under 15% it drains normally.
I already used a battery calibration app and also fully discharged the battery - both didn't fix it.
I assume that it's software relate, maybe a bug in the ROM? I'm too lazy to try other roms right now, maybe i'm going to give those MIUI roms a shot later this week.
Just to say that I have exactly the same problem with my recently bought Jiayu G4T. The battery usually takes somewhere from half a day to 1 day to drop 20%. However, between 30 and 40% it starts dropping with a speed that's even greater than playing a game while using all 4 cores for some other power hungry tasks. From 35 to 15%, which is 20%, it drops in like half an hour (and not half a day or 1 day). And then, from 15% to 0%, it again takes something like half a day.
Battery drain...need help
hi,
I have the G4, advanced, 2GB, 3000mAH model. I have the same issue...when the battery reaches 30% it immediately drops to 15% within a mater of seconds. I hope some of the experienced members from the forum help out in fixing this.

Same issue here. JG4 advanced (or turbo, whatever) 3000 mah. Very fast drain from 40% to 15%. Pretty sure that's a software issue!

As already said, calibration does NOT help. IMO it's seriously the ROM's fault, here's why.
JIAYU has 2 memory versions : 1/4 and 2/32. (RAM/ROM) , and most ROMs are prepared either for 1/4 (1850 mAh) or 2/32 (3000mAh) .
You probably have 1/4 3000 mAh version, and to make battery work find specific ROM.
Hey,
Now i start to think diffrently. Maybe it's hardware issue.
There are 2 types of battery: li-pol and li-ion. Please post what your battery is if you having this drain issue.
Compare to photos in attachment.
I'm having this issue and have li-pol battery.

Ziomek, could you post the soution that eliminated battery drain problem in your case?
Has anyone solved the problem with bad battery indications ???
After installing cm 13 (probably 1 month ago), my battery life started decreasing day by day..
i.e. suddenly falling from 14% to zero..
Than it increased to 20%...and than 40%
I tried calibrating my battery , still the results are same
Finally I went to service centre..after seeing my battery, he said..it isn't a hardware issue because whenever a battery damages it expands in its size..and mine seems to be normal..
So I installed carbon rom(KitKat) to check, whether it's a hardware issue or software ,after charging to 100..I didn't got any bump ..as I checked till 2%..
It gave me exactly 4hrs and 2 mins of SOT ..is it alright?
I m attaching a pic of stats..
My question is..- is it possibly a software issue or hardware?
Please help me out in sorting this issue
Thanks in advance
I am facing same issue.I suggest you to flash exodus ROM though it may not help you with this problem but you will get better battery you will get 5hrs 30 min to 6 hrs SOT with normal usage.
Whatever you stated exactly the same thing happened to me and I did the same what you did I.e installed the Carbon ROM.
Just slightly improvement but no luck.
You got full drainage without a bump. How lucky you're.
Finally I replaced my battery with the new one and all became normal.
I think it's probably the battery problem.

Vl check for few days, if the problem persists..I vl replace it!
Anyways ty
Before replacing I suggest you to try stock optimised. Carbon ROM drained a lot of my battery at idle state. Its better now with stock optimised version.,
I have also tried stock optimized, yes the drainage is not as carbon but the major problem is that bump in the drainage, so I am sure that the problem related to the battery.

Unfortunately , today ..when I rebooted at 40% charge ..after booting it was 7%
Definitely a hardware problem..so I m gonna replace mah battery ☺
Same issue with me will replace battery.
The service guy insisted me to not to change the battery..
According to him ..it's not a battery issue, it is something in internal circuit..
Because , he had already replaced more than 15 moto batteries all with the similar problem ..in last 2 months..
Out of which more than 5 came back within 2 days claiming that the problem still exist...
Is it possible so?
Luckily changing the battery worked for me.

On new battery facing similar issues. Yesterday charged full, came back after an hour to find out its 89% .. God knows what.
I have recently bought a new battery from amazon to replace my two year old battery which I was barely getting 2 hours of screen on time with, in general it was awful.
I would just like to gauge peoples opinions on whether they feel this battery is genuine or not or to see whether people have had any similar experiences with buying batteries on amazon. The amazon store seems to have a fairly good reputation. At first I thought it may have been an Akku Polarcell as it does say Akku on the battery packaging but I am skeptical.
I am currently testing it at the moment but it only seems to be slightly better than the original.
Further testing and research has bought me to install the following app. The app gives you the capacity of the battery on the main page - the battery appears to be 3000mah capacity which is the same as the oem battery.
Hi
As long as the battery is the original as the LG one. I had almost the same problem with my battery then bought the exact same battery and its been working fine so far.

Yes it appears that I am getting same battery life as the original battery, I can't seem to break 2.5 hours of screen on time and thats on a good day. Tried all sorts, think it might be time to jump ships and get a new phone.
Are you running on Android M or still on Lollipop and in that screen-on time what do you usually do, chats, videos, or games?
I bought a new battery too orginal. There is not different between thr ols battery. Why??

Latest Fulmics 5.2 with Xceed kenrel.
Literally limited to whatsapp and browsing internet, nothing to strenuous. Have a tasker profile running to turn off my phone cell when connecting to works wifi, as I get no signal. Have limited the worst of the wakelocks and alarms with Amplify and battery is a bit better but not in the realms of 3.5+ hours yet.

Maybe try to check under battery usage what's draining your battery. I got mine a week ago from one of these local shops, the exact same one as the original G3 and I get at least 8+ hours on a full charge for what you said you do. I suppose Amazone batteries aren't that reputable after all.
I run stock 7.1.1 on my Moto Z and lately I have seen that the battery life is terrible. If I take the phone off the charger at say 7am I will be lucky to get to 3pm before needing charging. I don't play games or watch videos using the phone primarily for phone calls (!), texts, email, news reading (I use Google Playstand) and the occasional social media (no Facebook).
The only "customisations" I have are using the Pixel Launcher 3 instead of the Motorola one, the Google camera and the native AOSP dialer rathen than the Motorola one.
I had seen a few posts from folks saying a factory reset might fix it but I want to avoid that if I can with many work apps having quite convoluted processes to get then to authenticate and sign onto to Enterprise servers again,
Thanks
Maybe reflashing the stock ROM via fastboot avoiding the line "fastboot erase userdata" because if you'll avoid this line your personal data wouldn't be erased

the only thing that help me with this problem, was a factory reset with a fresh install of all the apps, avoiding the restore
You could try to install Greenify https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify if the phone uses a lot of battery when the screen is off.

HOw did you about that? I went to the Lenovo support forums and a senior agent replied as follows:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-Z/MOTO-Z-battery-life-terrible/m-p/3927759#M4349
Only one day but after deleting the cache partition, today's usage is much better - almost 14 hours.
However battery health is only 90% which seems low.
If you follow accubattery recommendations you should keep your phone ideally between 40-70% or at most 20-80% and don't ever let it run to zero unless you're recalibrating the battery and don't charge it to 100%. My Z Force is from August 2016 is at 95%, but even with that there's been a reduction in battery life.

I went to a local repair shop and paid something about 50$ to get it replaced.
I was playing a Daydream VR game that froze up and had to hold the power button to restart. Battery was around 70%, when the phone restarted it showed around 15%. My battery has been downhill since. This was last week. Today I have my phone plugged in charging with the Incipio battery back on and both showed 100% with the phone on. Powered the phone off while still plugged in and the power off screen shows the mod as 100% but my phone battery shows 78% and will continues showing 78% after 15 minutes of charging. Powered it back on and the mod is still at 100% and the phone battery is at 78%. Not sure whats going on. Accubattery shows 57% health after about a week of use. I have a battery replacement ordered...
First signs of the phone going to catch fire like my Z force did.
Took an update and it caused massive issues. Battery life was horrible and started to over heat. Not long later sitting at the Android set up screen about 1% battery drain per minute. Motorola said it's normal and no issues. Phones frame was getting to 90c again Motorola said ots normal and withen spec. Then other caught fire. Can't comment any more due to legal process. I'm just posting stuff I already have when I first seen the issues.
Be careful. Lucky at that point I was charging my phone in a metal pot. So if you see a huge battery drain and start to see overheating and reboots keep it in a metal pot. The pot is what saved my house from burning down.

I think that the incipio mod is the problem, O noted the same behavior using the mod, some weeks ago I purchased the turbo mod and it works better than the incipio.

I'm having the very same problem and will send the phone in for battery replacement.
Hundreds of users are complaining over there in the Lenovo Forums about this problem that came with 7.1.1.
Motorla recommended one user to clear the cache partition, but I don't think this will finally solve the 7.1.1 problems.
Let's wait for a software fix from Lenovo/Motorola or hope for Android 8.0/OREO
I think It's from some weird bug from 7.1.1
I got this problem after flashed 7.1.1 and now, it's in the warranty for battery replacement :/
and with my experience, nothing will fix if you flash back to 7.0.0
Check this too:

I replaced my battery. Before the battery would give 1.5-2 hours screen on time (57 percent drain an hour). Now I'm getting 4-5 hours of screen on time (17 percent drain an hour). Both measurements are on the same Android version 7.1.1 and same settings
