I have just bought a brand new Moto to root it.
So everything went fine with the rooting, I managed to get SuperSU on it.
However, I watched a YouTube video where someone said to flash twrp-3.2.0-sanders.img.
I used twrp-3.1.1-sanders.img before which worked fine. However so the person on YouTube gave three files to flash.
Which were:
"System.img"
"Boot.img"
"twrp-3.2.0-sanders.img"
So once I flashed all three using ADB, my phone doesn't boot anymore.
It automatically loads into Recovery mode giving this error:
"Error: failed to load kernel!"
"Fastboot Reason: Fall Through from normal boot mode"
I have tried flashing 'twrp-3.1.1-sanders.img" again but that didn't work. I currently don't know what to do now.
If you can get my phone working again, I'll give you a $20 gift card of your choice. Otherwise I'll just send it off to Motorola to let them fix it.

LG C800
Device will not enter fastboot.
Can't get into recovery mode.
Each time it boots it hard resets. There is an unofficial CWM Recovery Rom on this forum from chui101 which is for this exact phone, but I have as of yet not had any luck in getting the phone to take it.
So far i've tried Flash_image recovery.img (renamed chui's CWM recovery file to recovery.img)
Doesn't seem to matter what I do the phone starts(LG on screen), resets (the LG goes away for a sec then comes back), does a hard reset (a white box with an arrow pointing out of it an to a little android), again resets the phone one last time for a "normal" boot.
I've tried a few different things to try and flash anything overtop of the stock recovery but nothing works. It seems like very early in the bootstrap is a command to do a hard reset and anything that gets put in AFTER that command is ignored. (And the phone hard resets and anything else it was supposed to do is gone.)
Device is rooted with SuperSU.
Phone is fully functional except that it hard resets every boot, and if its plugged in when off it doesn't go to a charging screen, it starts the phone 100% up.
Adb devices CAN see the phone.
I CAN get into Download (sometimes called Emergency) mode.
"reboot recovery" doesn't do anything but reboot the phone as described above.
I can't afford a new phone guys, so I'm over a barrel at this point.
i'll pay whoever provides meaningful help in getting this thing fixed.
You should start fresh. So, flash the stock rom FTF of your phone, then the phone should boot up normally. Then you could either root it and install a CUSTOM recovery, or flash a pre-rooted custom kernel that already contains a recovery. From there, just flash the custom rom you want
Just press thanks if I helped, no need for money
stock rom FTF?
From the factory?
I'd love to do that. But am bewildered as to how when every guide I've found says use fastboot -- which doesn't work on my device. And every guide without fastboot thus far has not worked. I've been reading 10 hrs a day for the last 3 days looking for a solution to this.
If there was a way to completely wipe the entire phone and then install stock rom I'd be glad to do it.... I have found no such guide... only those to replace recovery. (not a 100% clearing as if it came right off the line with no software yet installed)
Additional information:
mv /system/recovery-from-boot.p /system/recovery-from-boot.p-bak
Spits out a "No such file or directory" error
I don't know about you, but for Xperia Devices there is a PC software called Flashtool to flash stock roms and custom kernels and stuff from the PC. There should also be a software like that for your device. You just download the stock FTF for your phone (just type in google "download stock FTF for LG C800") and flash it in Flashmode that should be working
One more thing, this issue is not called bricked
press thanks if i helped
There is an LG tool but it says current software is up to date.
Other option is run recovery, which just reboots the phone as is.
No, this software I am talking about is not made by LG or Sony in my case. It should be a general tool for all LG devices. it should root, flash, install busybox, etc......

LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL ?
Thats the one that so far doesn't work.
the one named:
KDZ_FW_UPD_EN ?
He doesn't appear to support GSM phones. Plus I hit "Read info from phone" button... it gets almost everything -- correctly -- then crashes.
IT wants kdz files... looking for them now... chui has a dl link for the stock recovery but even though its a few mb it looks like only a zipped folder hierarchy with no files.
Slightly mis-read. still not finding any "generic" flashing software
trying octopus now....
crashed....
run as admin..... ah... you need their hardware which is hundreds of dollars...
Flash image gui, phone is not supported.
ok, a couple cyanogen dev's have both told me i'm screwed. Imma try for the rest of today and then just never turn it off again.
ok, paying lg to fix it... anybody guess what that will cost?
Try flashing CyanogenMod on your phone as no stock firmware is avaiable currently for your phone cyanogenmod shall fix the problem and you should boot normally (first flash CWM)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752704 - flashing cwm recovery (do it!)
Flashing cyanogenmod (requires usb debugging on)
First to put the cyanogenmod rom in the sdcard use adb push - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929
Page 1 (Pre Requisites - http://droidnoob.com/update-lg-c800-to-android-4-0-4-ics-via-cm9.html
Page 2(The actual flashing part :victory - http://droidnoob.com/update-lg-c800-to-android-4-0-4-ics-via-cm9.html/2
Probably will fix the problem....
hi techmasta,
I'd love to flash cyanogenmod, but the phone never enters fastboot to flash anything. The first link you posted says to use fastboot. I can't do that. The phone doesn't goto fastboot, it runs its recovery first.
EDIT: if there is a way to force it while the phone is in download mode that could probably work.
secondly, I've spend more than 40 hours on this issue, mostly reading forums but still a great deal on google.
I'm pretty unhappy with google as neither of those droidnoob forums ever come up. And believe me, there isn't much out there referring to the lg c800 so they should have!
Well i have been looking all over for help with my phone. I have figured out that i tried to flash a rom without unlocking my bootloader. Well im running windows 8.1 and for some reason i couldnt get my computer to recognize the phone at all. After using 3 or 4 different guides i gave up for a few days so not to get too aggrivated. I mean its my own fault but my back up phone sucks lol. So i borrowed my wifes laptop running win 7. I Followed this guide androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/807569-guide-security-error-fix.html. For the first time since i started trying to solve my issue everything seemed to work got the s/w screen to appear in reverse and using the cmd prompt that says wiating for device then starting the .bat file from the download it says on the bat cmd prompt that everything worked. well at the bottom its says done then comes up with C:\fastboot\yours. i have been browsing google but i havent been able to find what i am supossed to do with the yours file. i tried putting a kdz file into the file location and running it from that but no luck. after a few min the phone auto reboots and comes back with the security error screen and not the backwards one. i have tried doing the hard reset at the point but no luck. if someone could please help with what i need to do with the fastboot/yours area that would be awesome. Or at least point me in the right direction cuz google isnt wanting to be my friend with the searches.

help
Well i have tried several times now with using my wifes windows 7 laptop. i can get everything to work with the screen coming up backwards and in the command prompts it says that the fastboot is done then loads the command fastboot/yours which with the file i downloaded that file was empty. really unsure on what i need to do at this point. from the guides i have read it seems that im at like a step or 2 from getting the phone to work but after 30 seconds while still plugged in it reboots and loads the secruity error screen. from what i have read i should be able to do a factory reset by holding the volume and home button and then pressing the power for 3 seconds but it just reboots into the error. any help would be much appreciated i really dont want to have to buy a new phone.
Seems like that guide is more for when flashing a recovery on the locked bootloader and things go wrong. It was suggested a few posts down on the first page of that guide that if your problem happened when you were trying to flash a rom you might want to follow this : http://androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/792689-guide-unbrick-manual-update-updated.html or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344 (the xda one seems more complete) .
sigh
Well im still stuck on the security error screen. i got the phone to boot into the backwards fastboot screen 1 time and cant remember how to do it again. i can boot into the s/w upgrade mode. if i go to use the lg support tool being that im in the united stats my options is upgrade recovery or help. well if i go to upgrade recovery im told that my phone has the latest upgrade already. if i try and use the moduptest that come in a lot of the unbricking guides it makes me turn the internet back on even with having hte shttps and everything else that is listed in the various folders. i only have the omap44 on my device manager 1 time but there is also 2 lg mobile modems. im thinking my issue lies with the fact thta i dont have the adb file for the device manager. i have donwloaded and uninstalled various times but still no luck. i dont remeber how i got the phone to the backwards fastboot but i remember i was following a guide and the op had to open one file and while that one was stuck on "waiting for device" he opened another one becasue that was the only way he could get it to connect. Any help would be awesome. not trying to rely on everyone else but after several weeks trial and error im at my wits end with it.
thanks

Hello everyone,
(Sorry for the upcoming wall of text)
Today I started the process to get CM11 on my phone. I was following all the instructions and somwhere along the way, during the install phase, the phone got soft bricked. Later, watching a video tutorial I realized that I should've installed CM11 in ROM slot 1 for the Razr xt910.
So I've spent all day trying to get out of this state without success. I have tried using RSD Lite with a couple of stock roms, including the one that was previously installed when bought. But I get "Failed to flash" almost instantly. Only when I previously clear the cache and the data, from the stock recovery menu, it gets to "step" 3 before failing.
I have also tried making it fastboot a recovery.img of ClockworkMod but it fails instantly.
EDIT: Just tried with mfastboot and same result.
The last thing tried was a "Xt910 Unbrick Utility". It's a .bat file that tries to replace the boot or refresh, not quite sure. The instructions are to wait till the process is done and then enter the recovery menu to install "update from external source".
Also read that getting into "Bp tools" should change something, tried it and still the same.
I couldn't find any other method and I have followed tutorials for the last 4 hours at least.
So please, if anyone could lend me a hand I'll love you forever.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all, attempted to root my phone today following this guide.
I got right up to step 9 but upon trying to reboot and launch from TWRP I began to have trouble. I've been able to access TWRP once, but after confirming install of SuperSU (step 11 here, my phone booted to the LG splash and I got the boot loop saying 'Your phone is unsecure, bootloader is unlocked' or words to that effect. Orange ! triangle.
I can launch to fastboot, or download mode. Turning on to a factory reset sends me back to a boot loop after confirming I would like to reset (leading me to believe I've not got a stock ROM in there at all).
Now when I try to flash any version of TWRP from command prompt in my ADB folder, I'm told my phone is corrupt and it won't allow me to flash.
Alternatively, trying to flash a stock ROM doesn't work either. LGUP does not recognise my model, it only shows COM Ports: [COM4, H85020s]. I've also tried using UPPERCUT but I get the following error: "Error reading from file: C:\Users\...\Roaming\Temp\F9FB5BD\TempFolder\UPPERCUT.exe. Verify the file exists and that you can access it." I've attempted running UPPERCUT from various locations, extracted.
I'm on Windows 10 and I've been trying desperately for the last 12 hours crawling through this site/ other articles for some kind of solution to give my phone SOME kind of functionality. Ultimate goal was LineageOS but now I'd be more than happy getting back to stock. I'd really appreciate any help, hope I've given enough information.
Hello,
I bricked a completely new Lenovo Tab M10 (HD). I have no root and I cannot install a new rom.
The command "adb sideload boot.img" does not work. Error: "Footer is wrong".
The command "fastboot flash boot boot.img" does not work. Error: "Partition flashing is not allowed"
It seems that I need the twrp-file to boot my tablet. Unfortunately there is not twrp.img for this device.
Can anybody help me please? Otherwise the device will be sent back to Amazon.
Hey Condor11 ,
Did you get this figured out? I did the same thing with mine. Oops I made a patched boot file with magisk and rooted and alll was fine. Then 1 day slid off my lap and I caught it also while catching a couple other things. Caught it on the end with the buttons,, guess I held it long enough to reboot into fastboot . When I rebooted it would only boot into fastboot. Got to recovery and tried to recover but it just got worse. I hadn't made a full back up yet. soft bricked like a mofo . Can"t flash anything I accidentally locked bootloader. I was able to get the full stock rom .img from the Lenovo LMSA tool. In which I rescued it then tried to root again with the exact same steps as first time but it just got worse. Im trying to build a flash able zip from the factory image right now so I can sideload with ADB in recovery. I just not experienced enough to be able to just whip one up.. It's all learning for me at this point. I have a stock rom zip that I downloaded but its not signature verified so it wont install. If you know how to do any of that I'll send you the files
Request regarding twrp image for X505F

Try this link...it seems they have uploaded a twrp image for X505F.
Thank you for your replies, 11mackey11 and Shamil Niyas.
I did not know how to solve it and I have sent it back to Amazon within 30 days. They accepted it as it is, no problems, I got my money back.
The reason I did not want the Lenovo without root privilege was, because of the stupid "monster app" for kids. There was no age control app by Lenovo without making the tablet a useless toy for 3 years old children.
My mother is fostering a girl, who was treated very badly by its original parents. I needed a restricted access for this girl, but not the way Lenovo did it. Something for 14 years old kids, who understand at least more than babies, but cannot take as much responsibility as "normal 14 years old children". Unfortunately, Lenovo does not have anything for this situation. I ordered another tablet and had to create a full access account with app restrictions (parental control). I dont like it this way, because there are way too many bugs and even this 14 years old girl has found ways to ignore those access restrictions.
(Some games open pop-up-adds in chrome. this way, once chrome is open, you can access anything. So I had to add restrictions in the router firewall.)
To put it in a nutshell: Lenovo Tab is nothing for adolescent children, if you need parental control. If you have a little more money, go for other brands.
