I chose 6P over pixel 2XL because i found 2XL setting very pinkish..

yeah version 2.7 & 3.2 are the only versions that will work with android 6

MGC_6.1.013_MI8_FINAL_V1_by_BSG - Night Sight is working, without the black screen bug;
there are newer versions (faster/better optimized/more options), but I find this one to be *almost* bug free.

There are few versions of GCam running on MIUI with Android 6 Marshmallow. None works the portrait mode, most wanted function of GCam.

After flashing these rom if want to change to MM roms will have to flash kitkat miui version or else error will occur during flashing .

There's a custom rom with Lollipop as base, but it had some bugs in my phone. The screen started to went on and off randomly, so I flashed MIUI v7 Lollipop, it's working fine. Gonna wait a more stable Miui 8.

I've downloaded the MIUI v8 Lollipop even having a regular redmi 2.
The Xiaomi.eu ROM
About the performance: Slightly better compared to v7 MIUI Lollipop, but is still far from pleasing, actually the version with 1Gb RAM does not seem to hold it out.
About the kernel: Sucks...
About the battery: Overall, way better.
About the visual: What can I say.... It is lovely, beautiful
About the new features: Chuck Norris approves :good:
Bugs found
SystemUi seems crash, I don't know, the phone locks itself randomly
I can't open some app such as: Clock, Calc, etc
DocumentsUI comes freezed, if unfreezed won't work, which is bad for selecting storages
Now, I should test the KitKat version...
I bought the Redmi note 3 pro sd version on 27th june. I guess it has the new fingerprint hardware. Requesting previous developer who has built the cm radio zip to work the fingerprint on cm based Roms to create another zip for new hardwares or else it's really uneasy to use the ROM for us. Like it's easy but we really miss the fingerprint. feels like it's not there. Hope we'll get It on the new hardware soon. thanks. :fingers-crossed:

For me it's both. Only on MIUI 8, it works.
With locked or unlocked bootloader..

Fingerprint sensor works fine on official leaked MM rom but doesn't work on cm based ROM & ported MIUI 7.3.9 MM rom from special edition.
Use Official MIUI8 then.

The point is we want to try other not miui roms too,also that leaked mm rom is full of bugs.

check this out miui10 for kenzo everything works really good with smooth ui. Just change dpi to 400 it looks too zoomed in otherwise.

I tested now. Camera works perfectly, super smooth ... but:
- 4G LTE doens't work (in build 08/07 by WuFeng works) - Brazil - It works after reboot.
- Fingerprint doesn't work properly, unlock after 2s at 3s when screen's lock on. (in build 08/07 by WuFeng 4s to 5s)
- App Lock by MIUI doesn't work with fingerprint. (in build 08/07 by WuFeng too doesn't work)

You can try a custom MIUI 10 ROM, any of them have rear portrait mode for Vince but I won't recommend them since they are running Android 7.1.2, not 8.1.0...
But I found one that runs MIUI 10 on 8.1.0 Stable
