I have the DT X10 tablet
firmware - V2.1rc3_20150826
build: A83T_N106_N1061L2BC_1508208.20160115
runnning 5.1.1
I have been unable to determine if I even *NEED* a firmware upgrade - the support site is cryptic and none of the #'s I see match what I have other than the name of the device.
So - can anyone tell me
1)if I need a firmware update
2) what version
3) where can I d/l it
I should be able to find out what programs to use to actually do the update but any suggestions/instructions are appreciated.
Tablet is working just fine, I was just wondering if there was an update.
Thanx,
Vic

I have tried several times to do a firmware update for the T-mobile G2 (Dutch version). I don't think there is any difference between the dutch or the english version.
Everything goes until the firmware updates really starts. I get a message bootloader starts over again! and then that the firmware update fails.
My G2 has been rooted, but i turned all back to the original backup. (I Think)
Modelnr: T-Mobile G2 Touch
Firmwareversion: 1.5
Smallbandversion: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Buildnr: 1.76.110.6 146733 CL#47214
Softwareversion: 1.0.0.A6288
Is there anyone who can help me so that i can use the firmware update. I hear a lot of complaint over this update, but I need to be able to acces a WiFi network.
Are you using the RUU process? If so, it's probable that it is failing the CID check as you are T-Mobile NL rather than T-Mobile UK (though I'd expect to see a message to that effect!).
What is wrong with your WiFi?
Regards,
Dave
My problem with the wifi is that i can't setup security certificates. I read that it become possible from the new firmware.
Someone told me it was possible to install the T-mobile UK version. But then i have to wait until the dutch supported version. Thank you for your response.

I believe that is part of Donut, and not in the current update ROMs. However, if you install a rooted ROM, it is possible that this app may help:
http://www.cyrket.com/package/fan.Wifi
To reiterate - you *MUST* have a rooted ROM in order to use this application.

I have the 2.1 firmware on my SGS and I also unlocked my phone from Orange to O2 - I am not able to connect via Kies (even with the latest software from them) - so would like to know a) is it possible to update my firmware and b) will it revert my phone back to being locked to Orange?
All I really want is to have adobe flash 10.1 so I can watch tvcatchup etc - I have tried downloading 10.1 for 2.1 eclair but it doesn't seem to be registering on my handset - I'm probably doing something wrong!
Anyway, any advice would be greatfully received!
Many thanks XDAers!!
Has anyone put the new Rogers rom on a locked ATT unit?
Any market problems?
Any problems removing Rogers apps?
I THINK want to go to one of the custom roms but I'm only on Baseband 2.0.46
and I don't have Dual Touch installed. But it seems that I'm required to update to the higher bb at least, and though I see a BB update only thread, it's unclear if all basebands are compatible with all SE 2.1 update-1. And then I would still have to update to dual touch prior to installing a custom rom.
Since these are two independent flash requirements, and it seems that I have to update to some rom higher than 504 anyway, so I was wondering if I could just go to the Rogers one.... getting dual touch and a higher baseband right off the bat in an official package in one shot, and check it out prior to deciding to move on.
Different basebands work with different firmwares and kernels. You can mix and match, to some degree (for instance, .55 baseband works with .435 or 2.1.1.A.0.6 FW), but there's really no reason to.
I own an AT&T X10a, and I always use the X10i Global Generic firmwares. All the features without all the crap.
Check out the link in my signature for an optimized version of the .435 firmware (dualtouch, etc). Follow the instructions, there's a file for flashing the new kernel and baseband on there.
Good luck!

But even your firmware says I have to flashtool a higher baseband to get it work prior. (Shouldn't you update your screen shots, you show bb 2.0.46 when you really mean 2.0.54) Though what you've put together is very interesting. Do you still have all the SE apps, too, in the collection of applications? (Just asking, I know they have apk's available.)
I'm just trying to avoid flashing multiple times now*, do a straight 2.1.1.A.0.6 update and flash only once and get higher baseband, dual touch and whatever other tweaks there are which don't require flashing. There's no LAM/NAM generic of this version yet?
*flashtool for me a PITA, because I don't have VISTA/Win7 computers generally available and it works better on that than XP which is problematic due to the SE usb drivers which sometimes freeze it in flash mode. I am getting a decent tax refund, I suppose it's time to upgrade to sandybridge and Win7 (since the first SP is out) before they announce Win8.
Hi,
I got my X10 a few days ago and loving it. I'm used to flashing and custom firmwares as have owned a HTC Magic and also a ZTE Blade, but it seems it works slightly differently for the X10 (unless i am confused). So my questions are below:
1) If my phone and install xrecovery, when Sony releases the 2.3 update will it prevent me from updating?
2) Does anyone who has rooted and installing custom firmware even plan on using the sony software to update to 2.3? I assume that people will just rip the firmware and upload it here to install?
3) I am confused about the baseband, on the previous 2 phones i have installed custom firmwares it seems the firmware and the baseband are totally different entities, but it seems that when you flash some firmwares (i.e. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942477) it flashes the baseband as well. Am i correct?
4) If the baseband flash was to fail, would that result in a brick?
Now I have read some guides and started thinking about installing custom firmwares. I want to stay on the official firmware's but want stuff like JIT etc... Can someone just check though the steps below to see if I have it planned
My current (stock and unrooted) phone is:
Kernel version: 2.6.29 ([email protected] #1)
Model number: X10i
Android version (assume this is same as Firmware version): 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 2.1.54
Build number: 2.1.A.0.435
So I was planning on performing the following steps:
1) Root using SuperOneClick (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906248) It says it is compatible with 2.1.A.0.43
2) Download BUSYBOX from market and install
3) Download xRecovery from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571 and install using Automatic Installation
4) Download 2.1.A.0.435 Global Generic ROM (from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936462)
However I am now confused on what to do with that rom. I have searched and tried to understand the last few days on where to use Flash tools, but I can't seem to understand? I am just used to booting into recovery and wiping cache etc.. and flashing the firmware, but can't seem to understand the guides.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Most of what you want to do can be done with the newest beta flashtool which can root, optimize, install busybox, superuser, xrecovery, and even has a build.prop editor as well as being able to backup the apps and uninstall/install apks.
I think that you are correct that once a GB release is made available for each major geographical area it will end up here and installable via flashtool.
BB are exactly as you say. SE seems to release a lot of them to accommodate different carriers requests for variations in sms, mms messages as well as HSDPA or 3G only. Most of the firmwares here include a bb that was released with the it. Mismatched bb to firmware is a issue, causing problems and some combos seem possibly fatal but generally speaking its hard to kill the X10 unless the battery dies during flash or the usb port is loose.

There is a new update for the Legend, it fixes the leaked security hole in the wifi: htc.com/www/help/wifi-security-fix/ (just enter your SN)
Is there any chance to get this fix the costum ROMs, for ex. BlaY0's?
(I cant write in development section that's why i asking it here)
Hi drosan85,
I dont see the legend in this table , and if I type in my serial I get this:
Your phone does not need this fix. If you have any questions, please contact us
It's strange...i have got an european model (A6363) and i got a download page: (i cant post pictures and links because of the rules :-(
The updated RUU file is: RUU_Legend_Froyo_S_HTC_WWE_3.15.405.6_Radio_47.51.35.17_7.13.35.05_release_222317_signed.exe
(it says the phones in the tablet got it directly (OTA))

I've also can download that RUU after typing in the SN.
Is there any chanelog to this? If we knew what files are updated this could be easily implemented into BlaY0's ROM.
my legend (A6363) had before rooting a vodafone branded firmware ....
I think that's the problem, mine also rooted but unbranded
