Hey I'm just wondering about what the difference between the bold and regular font format on Aggressive Doze notification is is the bold one indicating aggressive doze and regular for normal?
Ahaa on further Inspection I realized the bold one shows up when I wake the device/unlock my phone . The others are when the screen is of :cyclops:

Does anyone know any app or way to show battery status on Always-On display? I had samsung s7 edge prior to this one and it was awesome feature that I can see how much battery I have left on its Always On display, but I can't seem to have that on LG G5. I tried a couple of battery app, but the number shows up in black so can't see.
Never mind, I found a different app that can display it.

I hope you realize that the AOD display feature is a hardware-based feature that greatly reduces battery consumption, while the different apps that simulate such a feature will drain your battery much faster, like 10 times faster (on a LCD screen) than the true AOD feature.
This being said, I would happily trade my S7 Edge's useless AOD feature that shows battery status but no notifications besides missed phone and SMS messages, with the LG G5 AOD that works properly and shows all notifications from all apps.

I agree. The S7 AOD is useless. Ended up having to turn the phone on all the time anyway to see which notification is causing the blinking led light. G5 is much better.

I think the Op just wanted the battery level shown on the built in AOD feature not to actually replace it.
Op, what app do you end up using to show the battery level as a notification?

Yeah, I didn't realize that when I had S7 Edge, but until I had LG G5. With a different battery app, now it properly shows battery stat as well along with other notification which I enjoy very much.
If I've understood correctly there's no need to hibernate anything in order to user aggressive doze. So I don't use hibernation at all, but instead would like to user aggressive doze.
I'm rooted and have checked the on-the-go mode. I have also enabled the notification.
But there's no doze notification after the screen has been off for few minutes. How do I know if it is dozing or not?
thanks

I use Automagic (same idea as Tasker, but I find it much easier to understand and use). It has a trigger for when the phone enters doze mode (and another for when it exits). I can use these triggers to perform conditional actions like enable/disable Bluetooth/WiFi etc., or, say, make a sound, send a message to my Pebble watch, etc. In my case (unrooted phone) I have it make sounds. Using Automagic to do this kind of stuff does not seem to mess up the phone going into/coming out of doze mode.
You can also enable a Greenify notification that shows when the phone goes in/out of aggressive doze...

Thanks. It seems that it works now. I just needed to wait for a longer time.
Just remember that doze is not a full replacement for hybernation. It may prevent wakelocks but bad apps can still run background processes loading CPU and consuming battery when phone periodically wakes up from doze as well as every time you are using your phone.

- Nexus 6P, stock Android 7.1.2, non-root
- I turn on Aggressive Doze + Doze notification via ADB
Then I saw a list of timer record in the notification bar, e.g.
11:54|12:16-12:19=2m
11:54|12:05-12:16=11m
11:54|12:00-12:05=5m
Can I tell which duration is for normal doze and which is for aggressive doze? Why it didn't show as 11:54|12:00-12:19=19m, but 3 different lines?
Thanks

- don't believe Greenify notifications can distinguish between doze modes
- likely an event briefly interrupted doze state resulting in multiple windows

Thanks. I think just to disable the notification.
Hi all, this question arises after I enabled an automation to set battery saver on while my screen is off. To see how effective this was I wanted to see what the default battery saver actually does and only a couple applied while screen is off- GPS and vibration (from memory). I know you can modify these feature by switching them on and off but is there any way you can add new features/actions while battery saver is on and if so what are the common battery training processes that occur while your screen is off?.
Thank you so much in advance, any response is appreciated!.
Hi everyone!
I'd like to have clock shown on the phone all the time - i.e. ambient display.
From what I see, there is only option for new notifications to be shown...
What are my alternatives? What's the best app you guys using?
Thanks!!!!
This module, it enables built-in Always On Display. The only drawback is that it doesn't turn off in the pocket (it can be done with Tasker).

All 3rd party apps keep phone awake 100% time, so their battery usage is quite high.
