Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use key combo to enter recovery.Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP

Try doing what i did -
If a rom say for example, cypher os is overwriting the twrp, then clean flash the rom again, and flash magisk or super su, along with rom. When booted, install magisk manager or super su apk. Then install official twrp app, and install official twrp. This should prevent your rom from patching the recovery.

ClockworkMod recovery is a special boot mode by Koushik Dutta that gives access to administrative functions, such as installing the base firmware (ROM), making backups, and performing a 'factory reset'. .
This Recovery have this
Features:
install zip from sdcard or sideload into system1 or system2
backup system1 and system2 individual or together into one package
much choices of where you want to restore backups to
mount and format system1 or system2
fix permissions on system1 or system2
set bootmode to system1 or system2
automatically checks for install-recovery.sh on both systems and asks you if you want to delete them
TrueDualBoot
TrueDualBoot notes:
Enabling or disabling TDB will completely wipe your data-partition. Once enabled your data partition will be VIRTUALLY split which means that both systems together can use the full space of the data-partition.
There are some things which will break TDB:
everything which removes CWM(like Xiaomi Updater App's live install)
ROM's which don't support mount_ext4.sh (I did not see any ROM without support yet)
Recovery CWM --->http://d-h.st/zAe
Recovery Stock ---> http://d-h.st/czl
Download recovery-signed-***.zip
Copy the file in the root directory of your sdcard
Use updater installation from settings/info
This work will be impossible without previous work and actual help of @m1cha

Yeah, you can flash the file with TWRP recovery.
I have a question.
I was used to use TWRP and this Orange fox is kind of new for me.
I have successfully installed it and i like that it has magisk modules management and customization themes but the thing is i cant get to Orange fox recovery unless i connect my phone and press on volume down and volume up at the same time then force restart it while pressing on volume up then it goes to Orangefox and i find this frustrating that I have to be near a computer just to get to recovery mode.
It was so much easier to get to recovery on TWRP pressing volume up while pressing power button will get the job done but orange fox doesn't.
I liked orange fox but getting to recovery is a hassle. please help me if it has another way of getting to recovery mode without connecting my phone with PC
stucked in splash boot after installing this in a11 firmware
When I try to backup I get error 255 when it tries to backup /data partition
"EDIT: I fixed the problem I installed xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10_21.2.3_v12-11 with Twrp"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hi everyone I have a problem
my phone
mi 10 model M2001J2G
my phone is unlocked
the rom I used with fastboot
- umi_global_images_V12.0.1.0.QJBMIXM_20200709.0000.00_10.0_global_277de8c03d
- TWRP 3.4.2
I tried to install Twrp with fastboot my phone rebooted and came back to zero as if it was formatted I reconfigured turn it on and I installed Twrp again but the phone is stuck on fastboot and I can't access Twrp, so I clicked on power + volume up + volume down to reset it and quit fastboot all is well I was able to quit fastboot but when the phone turns on it got stuck on the boot logo so I used XiaoMiFlash. exe to install another rom (mentioned at the beginning) and go back to zero, after that it's done well, the phone reboots but in loop on the first "mi" logo. this time I decided to install Twrp and flash with a rom recovery, so I open Twrp I wipe and there I have the error
failed to mount '/data'.
failed to mount '/cash'.
failed to wip '/dalvik'.
......
......
I managed to fix "data" "cash" and "dalvik" I can mount and format them
but I got the error failed to mount '/odm'.
but in the Twrp interface select partition there is only 'dalvik/ar' 'data' 'cashe' 'internal storage' and 'usb-otg' there is no 'system' partition.
I copied the rom recovery to my phone.
miui_UMIGlobal_V12.2.5.0.RJBMIXM_9401790776_11.0
but when I Install the rom with Twrp
I have this message
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
to resume:
- the phone restarts in a loop even if I flash with umi_global_images_V12.0.1.0.QJBMIXM_20200709.0000.00_10.0_global_277de8c03d
- when I Install the rom recovery with Twrp I have the error
failed to mount '/system
failed to mount '/vendor'.
failed to mount '/odm'.
- I can access to the fastboot and Twrp interface 'to do something'
I believe that if I can solve these problems :
failed to mount '/system '/vendor'. '/odm'.
maybe I could install rom recovery
thank you for your help
Hi bro! I have the same problem but on my POCO F2 PRO!!! Have u found a solution? This thing is driving me nuts
hi
yes I found a solution and I added a note (Edit) at the beginning to inform people
in my mi10 I had the global miui 12 version. when I couldn't find any solution and I couldn't install the global version I tried with the eu ( Europe) version I downloaded the ROM for recovery because there are two types of ROM it depends on the method you're going to use to install it if you're going to use the fastboot method you have to download the fastboot ROM and if you're going to use TWRP (recovery ) then you have to download the recovery ROM.
if you want to do as I did, download another ROM and Install it with Twrp.
I had same problem
But this version of twrp version fixed it
twrp-3.6.2_12-v3.7_A12-umi-skkk.img
Its for android 12, but i successfully installed
12.5.7 eu and 12.5.10 eu (android 11) ROMS
If you think your device get slow then you can convert your EXT4 filesystem to F2FS...
Step of work:
1.Download zip file from below link and extract it ..you got a file...
31.74 MB file on MEGA
mega.nz
2. Boot into your custom recovery and flash the file...(it is a twrp recovery.img file ....I think you know how to flash a .img file via custom recovery)
3.Reboot into recovery...
4.Then flash "F2fs-patcher.zip" via recovery (From this post)
5.You need a custom kernal which support f2fs file system.. Currently genom kernla support it..downtown it from my post and flash it via recovery.
6.Now format your data as F2FS ...
.....................................................
Step for F2Fs format:
1.Select "Wipe" tab on twrp recovery.
2.select "Advance Wipe".
3.Tick "data" and select "Repair or Change File System".
4.Select " Change File System ".
5.Select " F2FS" and swip to confirm..
.............................................................
7.Reboot and enjoy...
