Guess what, updating as we speak on my 6GB/64GB version. It finally arrived, not that I am expecting differences in behaviour.

Was it a different file from the 4gb version ?

on the SD (now with V09): /Android/data/com.adups.fota/files/adupsfota
or (need root) /data/data/com.adups.fota/files/adupsfota
I also received a new OTA: MAZE_Alpha_A_V09_20180117_20180117-1052
Changelog: 1. GoogleMobile Service Upgraded.

Big question: My Alpha X 6/64 is rooted. Safe for update or any problems to expect?

Even if rooted, with the original recovery and without busybox installed, you can always install the update.

I do not said that : you can, only reflash the original recovery and you can update.

So for old idiots like me, this is the correct workflow?
A) adb reboot bootloader
B) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (from your backup)
C) Reboot and execute the FOTA update
D) Repeat A) Repeat B) but this time with your TWRP recovery
E) Flash Magisk 16.0
F) Reboot and be happy until the next update?

Be aware Maze Alpha OTA camera issue
After installing the most recent update my main camera has stopped working, was at first intermittent would go back screen after a few hours now after a factory reset only selfie camera is working??
If anyone can help please let me know.
