I have set the max but it is weak for me.
It's my alarm clock to work. I have a damaged hearing. Please help, solution. I still have pebble steel and have stronger vibrations. Thank you

Hi, in settings, common, you can set the vibration strength (3 levels).
If max level isn't strong enough, I think you can't do anything.

I've searched long and at any places, but nowhere was an answer. Everybody goes crazy if we talk about sensitivity, but what are the benefits of a higher sensitivity really?
I mean, here on mother earth, you can't get something better, without decreasing other features...
So if i turn the sensitivity higher (or lower), i mean if its more precise... Where are the disadvantages?
Higher battery drain?
Please help me to understand
I you slide you finger over the screen it takes a small distance before the phone reactes and moves the part of the display. Try it and you will notice this small distance on the homescreen. It is like a dead zone where you move your finger but nothing happens.
With the toch sensitivity fixes or apps or scripts you can decrease this distance to 0 or any other value. I think a value around 5 is quite common. I am not sure but I thought 15 is default, so you usually want to decrease it.
A disadvatage is, that if you set it too low, the phone might recognize klicks a swipes.

That was the answer i wanted! Thank you!
On some older kernels, when your phone is on ac power, the screen becomes very unresponsive. That's why people came up with the need to change the touch sensitivity.

Hello,
theres a bug in automatic brightness: if you turn it on and hold it against the sun the brightness will go to maximum but it won't get back (darker).

I can't help myself, 3 thanks virgins in 2 days!!!! Owned!!!! last time I held something up to the sun it melted. Its kinda hot!!!!........
Ok in all seriousness I have not had this issue....did you try rebooting your prime? I have noticed some hicups from time to time, like touch tones stop working....but if I reboot it will work again. I am sure its just the newness of ICS, these things will get ironed out in time.
I leave it off anyways. Its a known automatic brightness is a battery drainer. You'll get better battery life with it off.

I think this is more of a feature than a bug, although I keep mine at one certain level anyway.
It's to give you a more seamless experience, as soon as the screen goes off and back on it adjusts. It's so when you're reading an article and move from one area to another, you don't get a surprise mid-sentence. I always hated reading things off my phone with auto brightness on, couldn't just focus on the words had to keep tripping up on a constantly changing screen.
With sun i meant that you can hold it against a bright light
Sry for my bad english...
I've actually noticed some differences in the sensitivity of the light sensor on various units. Some do seem to get "stuck," where others maintain an accurate measurement of ambient light. This seems to be correlated to newer units (e.g., C1 units).
The one I'm using right now does switch lighting both more quickly and, it would seem, more accurately. The ones I had previously would get stuck either on high or low brightness (with very little adjustment in between), and I needed to toggle the auto brightness button to get them to adjust to new conditions.
I found auto brightness on the device to be an annoying burden if anything. I just keep it pretty low all the time. Better that way anyways.
Same problem here - The brightness goes up under bright light, and won't readjust until the next screen off/on or reboot.
Does anyone have a Prime that adjusts back down without turning the screen off?
I swear it's intentional and not a bug, although they should offer you the option of controlling its parameters. Just have to wait for the unlocker and some custom ROMage.
But seriously, I think it's to keep a continuity in your current session, so that if you're gaming or working (the two things this tablet's for) you're not plagued by an ever-changing screen that distracts you...

I can see how the concept of continuity can be good. But in my case for example, switching the bedroom light on - followed by a certain increase of brightness on ATP - then switch the bedroom light off to go to bed - the persistent brightness (tested for >15mins) can be a little straining on the eyes. Although readjusting the brightness is as simple as 'clicking' the 'auto' icon on/off again so that the brightness comes down to appropriate level (it only takes 2seconds to do it) - I think this is defeating the purpose of having the auto-brightness setting in the first place.

Oh I whole-heartedly agree. Going from my living room anywhere else in the house causes blindness with auto brightness on. And it acts completely opposite on this device than all others I've touched that use the feature. And like you say, if it's "automatic brightness" then why would it not be totally automated?
I'm just saying there's definite reasoning and programming behind it, it's not just some bug per se.
Therefore, don't expect ASUS to do anything about it, it'll all be up to our wonderful dev's here; they'll say it's properly functioning even though it's bass ackwards from everything else in existence.
*** YOU MUST BE ROOTED TO USE THIS APP ****
This app will recalibrate a worn or dirty proximity sensor. If your screen does not turn on after a call, then your prox sensor either needs to be recalibrated or is burnt out.
Usage:
1) Open the app. If your screen does not turn on after a call, it should report the word "NEAR."
2) Increase PS2_CANC (High Threshold) until it reports "FAR." Go one or two values past where it first changes.
3) Cover and uncover your proximity sensor and verify that it reports NEAR and FAR correctly.
4) If you want the values to be set on boot check the box.
5) Post the values that work best for you along with the ROM you're using in this thread. Hopefully we can use them to find better default values.
If any combination of low threshold and high threshold does not make your proximity sensor function as it should, then it is most likely burnt out and you need to warranty your phone.

Neat. Low 13, high 51 is the crossover point for my phone.
Works great, Chad. Mine was on the edge, so to speak. It worked sometimes, and didn't others. Bumping high up to about 54 and it's working great.
the defaults worked well for me. What does the low threshold do though? Changing it doesn't affect the responsiveness.
65 for the high works pretty well for the distance it should be when holding to your ear, but being more sensitive (detecting near when my hand was farther from the sensor) at the defaults also works.
This is great. Exactly what we needed. Thanks man
Had to set the high on mine down to 14 just to get "near" to show. Tested on a call and it works perfectly now. Thank you Chad. I'm using the global firmware and it never worked correctly after the ruu.
Low 12, high 53 works the best for me. thank you chad!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, this is pretty incredible. Thanks, Chad, invaluable fix for my poor Rezound's post-call-black-screen bug.

Gotta say, this is a pretty awesome tool. I've been trying to use this app called "Wave Control" that uses the proximity sensor to control media players and have just had absolutely no luck until now.
Couldn't tell if my sensor was just worn, dirty, or burnt out. With this app, it was reading "Far" constantly, but after some messing around, I finally got it to register again. Oddly enough, the values working best for me right now are:
Low Threshold: 5
High Threshold: 36..
Not sure what this means, but I'm just glad it's working still. Thanks for all the work you do, Chad. You're invaluable to the Rezound community.

14 and 29 for me
Hoping this will work for me. CM9 light sensor hardly turns my screen off when in calls, so it would seem I'm collecting too much light. Was getting pretty angry at it when it dials numbers with my cheek.
Thanks for this.
4 and 15 for mine

THANK YOU.
I bought my Rezound off eBay so I had no idea if it was normal for the screen to be so glitchy during calls. I had to press the power button to turn the screen on during calls if I needed to use to dial pad or even hang up. I'm so glad I saw this app because it's all fixed!
I had to set my settings to Low: 22 / High: 86....not sure if that's good or bad, but the screen now turns itself on when I pull the phone away from my cheek instead of me having to do it myself so it's all I care about.

It appears to be different for every device. There is some sort of in-built automatic calibration in the kernel but it seems to not work very well.

Go into Settings -> Developer Options and make sure "Show surface updates" is not ticked... what you are describing sounds a lot like it is on.

Sounds like brightness is set to Auto. Set it to manual and it should stop doing that. But you'll have to change it if it's too bright out or if the screen is too bright inside. Not usually a problem for me, I keep mine pretty low all the time. Saves on battery too.

Sorry... Got nothing, you covered every possibility I can think of besides hardware failure, since you turned off auto brightness that is the only sensor that would be involved. You mentioned the panel was replaced and this occurs when you touch the screen, possibly a bad/loose ribbon cable to LCD panel?

Not hardware.
Is the same as keyboard setup but in keyboard you can set it if you like .
On touch not setting to change.
Guys is there a way to increase the vibration?can seem to find that setting

Only for keyboard.
Just got mine yesterday too. Noticed the vibration, guess I don't need a ringtone anymore.
Does Anyone found a way to reduce the vibration?
It's not strong at all, it's just really noisy. I can't feel it at all in my pocket. You can reduce it in some parts to make it less buzzy and more like an actual vibration, but the real problem is the cheap motor they used. It's one of the older rotation motors (in place of a linear actuator, which is better in every possible way).

Its not just you, my question is, couldn't be there a magisk module to control this??
It's not gonna be magic and make the vibrations stronger, but at least this could make it less noisy
If anyone knows about a tool or module please share
