Useful links to recovery, ROMs, OTA, img etc - HTC Desire 601

I recently had to install a new ROM on my old friend HTC Desire 601, so I told myself: since the search was difficult and many of the links that I found no longer work, I would like to quickly publish the link that I've found and that still work.
Thats the first and the most complete. A years ago here I downloaded and installed cherlis Insertcoin Rom (i found other two version but don't worked) and now i've just installed the Cyanogenmod 12.1 2015
I don't know who are the developers. I just used the insertcoin ROM and it worked. I don't know what are the most of the things they have published xD. I risked cause i had nothing to lose (the phone was unusable), so use it at your own risk!
Recovery, "Cherlis Insertcoin ROM", kernel etc. - use GoogleTraslate

[Q] Flashing Lenovo A806 Rom?

Is it possible to flash a Lenovo A806 phone with a ROM that's not from Lenovo?
I want to take the stock ROM and replace it with a pure Android 4.4.2 Rom.
Basically, change the OS to pure android and away from Lenovo.
Thanks
Troy
Please, Bump
Okay,
Follow up question.
Can I flash the A806 with a MTK6592 ROM?
Flashing a ROM
So did I put this in the wrong thread?
No body here knows about flashing ROM's?
Where should I ask this question to get an answer?
Thanks
For flashing and rooting search for A806 + root in XDA forums, there is separate thread about rooting where I also posted link to my blog where is English how to root it and flash custom recovery so you can flash any ROM. As for clean Android see below.
there is AOSP Beta 1 (ported VIVO?) Kit Kat ROM available for A806 and A808T in one package released few days ago, more info in this thread:
http://bbs.lenovo.com/a8/t476045/
here is untouched ZIP file with AOSP ROM for A808T and A806 reuploaded by me:
http://www.mirrorupload.net/file/JC2BS6QC/#!Lenovo_A808T_AND_A806_AOSP_BETA1.zip
don't use OTA automatic update after flashing this ROM!
Xposed still should not work, gestures on switched off black screen should not work, except Weather and some Mobile phone assistant (flashing tools?) ROM should be pure Kit Kat without Lenovo stuff since it's ported from VIVO phone (?)
there should be also some issue with notification bar freezing phone when opening Wifi settings, here is patch for it (although I red about different issue about reported wrong storage capacity 8GB instead of 16GB) untouched reuploaded by me
http://www.mirrorupload.net/file/NHQXFMVZ/#!zip
for issue with Wifi disconnecting in Advanced wifi settings you should set ALWAYS connected, no energy saving or anything
I haven't tested this ROM, so use it on your own risk, more info from people who used it are in thread linked in beginning of my post but I tried to summarize all information on first 17 pages of that thread. I am still waiting for someone to test it on A806 and give me feedback, I don't feel that adveturous to reinstall everything.
Thanks,
Could you answer my questions?
Thanks
I also having problem to flash A806. It's from china. Most of the apps using china character.
I manage to flash a ROM suing SP tool and rom from needrom dot com.

HTC Desire 620g DS

So I am searching for a nightly or an official Cyanogenmod rom for my HTC Desire 620g dual-slim phone for about 5 months now, and I haven't found anything yet. I found a bunch of links which didn't lead me to a correct installation and it's not because I am following the steps incorrectly. I am 100% sure that whichever link's steps I followed were done just fine. I have installed custom roms in a lot of phones like Xperia M, Galaxy S4, Sony Ericsson Walkman, Sony Xperia Mini, and a lot more. However for the phone I have now, I just can't find ANY version of a cyanogenmod rom that works. Anything I do seems like it bricks my phone, so I have to recover it back to it's stock rom. I would really appreciate any kind of help. Also if someone knows how to and what to do to install a version of cm , please give me detailed steps, like how to unlock my bootloader on this phone, how to install the recovery mode either it will be a clockworkmod or any other, and finally how to install cmm. I am asking for so many details because this is the first time I am trying to flash a custom rom to a HTC phone. Thanks for any help that could be given.
Hi,
I have read many times that this phone's bootloader isn't locked and regarding roms, there is probably only one cooked by some russian guy that also posts in xda.
But please tell me that you have a copy of that custom rom for the desire 620g and it's an european one; because mine broke completely after rooting.
By the way, no cwm or twrp for this neiter.

[Need Help] Looking to get a CWM and get the Res Remix 6.0.1 ROM

Hi all
Thanks for taking a look at my thread
To give you an idea , im currently running on stock 4.1.2 Jellybean with stock recovery with root access (via Framaroot apk) , a few months ago i used to run CM 10.1 with Philz Touch but then reverted back to stock
Recently i have looked up tutorials on here and on youtube and there seems to be so many factors when it comes to getting the right files or using the right method (partitionining with a partition file - installing a custom ISOREC-compatible kernel and special TWRP version - its all so confusing compared to what i did in the past ( using the default CM windows installer )
Talking about CM - it actually didnt give me the option for my carrier as im from the UK and i think it installed the US version
Any trusted and reliable guide would be much appreciated because i see so many different things online that it confuses the s*** out of me
Kind Regards

Few questions about changing roms [S6] Please Help

Hi,
Details about phone: Samsung S6 (G920I) I can't remember the exact ROM im on (yes im a noob). However my build number is LMY47X, which when searched by most views comes up with this rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-w/development/rom-aosp-alpha-1-t3107740) Android version 5.1.1 I have TWRP v. 3.0.2-1 as my custom recovery.
So my phone keeps restarting randomly been getting worse over the past few weeks. So I want to try a new ROM (had my current one for like 8 months). So I made a ROM back up just in case through TWRP and backed up all my user data through Titanium and exported both of it onto my PC.
I found a ROM I want to use "XtreStoLite" ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423) but I have a few questions before I try to install it.
First of will this work fine for the current setup I have?
Since I'm on 5.1.1 and they have a ROM version for 6.0.1 will I be able to install this version or do I have to use the 5.1.1 version? I've tried updating to 6.0.1 on my current ROM but my provider won't let me update OTA. Only way is to remove root and return it back to the stock ROM which I don't really want to do if I can avoid it.
Please help, any information will be greatly appreciated, feel free to ask any questions.

This ROM will work for your device. Based on what I read in the OP's post on how to install this ROM there are two prerequisites. You will need to use Odin to flash a Marshmallow bootloader and a Marshmallow modem for this ROM to work. This is an excerpt from the ROM's OP:
How-to Install:
Install Marshmallow bootloader & modem and install custom recovery:
- Install the correct MM bootloader & modem for your model with Odin (see post #5 of this thread)
- Make sure that you have an working TWRP custom recovery installed.
If you follow the OP's instructions you should not have any problems. Make sure you read, read and read. The OP has given an excellent guide. Post #5 in this thread has the download links for the Marshmallow bootloader and modem and instructions on what slot to put the files in using Odin. Good luck and happy flashing.
Also, if you wanted to stick with a Lollipop ROM the OP still has links to his Lollipop ROM's available.

root

OK. I'm on stock 4.0.4 , ucll6 and I wanna directly root and install LP and mm roms. What's best method? All threads seem to be unmaintained and outdated. Thanks.
Did root via arogon method. Now what recovery do I flash? Figuring kernels are flashed with it.
My name says it all. That said I'm pretty sure that you are going to have to increase your space to be able to install MM with the appropriate gapps package. Same holds true for most LP roms on here.
You might can try this thread for a LP rom with a pico gapps package http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../cyanogenmod-12-unofficial-i777-call-t3211103 (note: I'm not sure it requires resizing partitions since it does not specify.) Should be able to also find a version of TWRP 2.7.1.0 or newer floating around here. I also add that though lots of these threads on here haven't been posted in in a couple of years, the information you find is still uptodate. GL

If I flash that twrp 2.7, wouldn't I need a certain kernel?
Honestly man I can't say for sure. Sorry.
I'm running a s959g and followed the guide in the help forum laid out by Mr.cook (you'd likely find more/better help in the help forum). I will say that from what I gathered the kernel and recovery are linked in the S2. That said when I flashed my 1st recovery I was on stock 2.3.6 Gingerbread and went straight to the TWRP 2.7 version. From there I flashed Rogersb11's 4.4.4 ROM that had the shift kernel (awesome kernel btw check it out) built in. GL
ETA: I'd almost say that as long as you find a i777 version of the TWRP and installed it you'd be good to go.
