Hi,
I m looking for a proper google apps remover script.
Assuming that one has a classic android phones with google apps integrated.
Assuming that he gained adb root access, what would be the clean way of removing all google apps for a clean open source android phone ?

Hi,
Is it possible to install Google Maps API (required by several Apps) without installing the garbage integrated in gapps package?
I use CM7.

Just yank what you don't want out of the ZIP or remove everything that is safe to remove with adb or TitaniumBackup.. follow these guidelines http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Barebones
Thanks for the link, but that actually couldn't help me: I only want the Google Maps API, but I can't find those files. (I need api for some app requirements). I tried only installing the framework file, permissions xml and Google maps app, which allows you to use the original Google Maps app, but none of those requiring the Maps API...
Any help would be great.

So I have seen the 6.0 and the CM permission system before.
Both have a toggle that allows setting permissions for preinstalled system apps aswell.
Is that possible in OxygenOS too?
(The whole reason for me to get a phone with a permission system was to be able to restrain all that Google Play stuff...)

CM's privacy guard can do exactly that, even with system apps. OOS's permissions can only limit non-system apps, so you'd need to remove all the Google Play apps as system apps and re-install as user apps (or convert them to user apps with Titanium Backup). However, this would need root. Not sure if you wanted a non-root option, but I can't think of any that would not require root.

I was indeed wondering about a non root option, i.e. if there is a toggle i just missed.
So I guess I'll wait for the 6.0 update as the native android permission system works for system apps aswell, and they'd be stupid to replace it.
Trying to work out how to get Google play and well GAPPS in general running on the Hisense A5 eink phone. It lacks Google services, and in fact prohibits it entirely. Installing and side loading everything is easy, but it all crashes on start. There's another thread here related to such:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/to-root-hisense-a5-t4058081
The bootloader is locked, no TWRP, and pretty much no development. So I'm looking for any direction anyone can point me in on this.
A successfull installation of Google Play relies on successfull installation of the following 4 APKs
Google Account Manager <- installs as system-privileged app ~11MB
Google Services Framework <- installs as system-privileged app ~6MB
Google Play Services <- installs as user app
Google Play Store <- installs as user app
what requires root access, means device must has been rooted before and there must be >=17MB free disk space available in device's /system partition.
It also should be clear only the version of the named APKs is to be installed that 100% matches your device's Android SDK version: Google will update the APKs itself automatically if necessary, unless Automatic Update got disabled.
Hey, so I have a few questions regarding this phone.
1. I'm unable to set a default launcher, I've previously done this by removing the default launcher with adb and it worked fine. However after the recent update to ColorOS 7 I'm no longer able to remove via abd, I think it succeeded once but when it did it ended up breaking a lot of functionality (No gestures, could only go back, couldn't open a list of open apps etc...).
2. If I download / install anything from play store or f-droid, I need to have an Oppo account and enter my password. Is there anyway of bypassing this? This seems to also make it impossible to use apps like Shelter / Island
Or, as an alternative, anyway to downgrade to ColorOS 6?
Thanks
Is there any way to uninstall preinstalled Google apps on phone with Android such as Gboard, Google Wallet, Lens, Photos etc?

any open source GUI adb tool for macos can disable/delete bloatware?
list apps and delete/disable each of them by issuing command is boring. anyone knows any open source lightweight gui tool to do so? thanks

Are you sure that this solution allows to uninstall these apps completely? Won't they be still nested somewhere in phone?
one cannot delete system apps without breaking OTA updates. that's why Magisk is systemless-root method, it does not modify system partition.
disabled apps remain disabled until factory reset. do a backup beforehand, you will brick your device...

But solution that @aIecxs suggested seems to work different than just disabling an app. When using ADB to uninstall an app it is no longer visible in apps management in settings.
