This is my test and i collect the result, i want give this for those who want some information about the rom can play game with long time. I dont sure it's correct 100%
Only 3 rom : nos,cardinal,aosp(cypher os) with lastest (6/1/2017)
My test: flash rom, gapps, magisk 15.2, then install fb,mess,my game (for this resul) and then reboot flash angi kernel v11.9
. i play game about 1h, then i start counting time drainning.
With cardinal: 3h36" with ~48%
Nos: 1h with 17-18%
Cypher os: 30' with 10%
.
I think problem stock kernel is best. B.c when i install angi kernel for nos rom battery drain very fast. (I thinl it not comfortable any more. I think some person already use final 7.1.2 are known battery very good).
About cypher os rom. (After flash rom like i write above, rom so lag, dont worry, reboot and then it smooth again (in nos, cardinal dont have this problem !)
.
Does someone have any idea for couple rom&kernel with long battery life.!??? Please share for everyone. ^^
For nos OREO ROM the best is stock Kernel but when i test nougat nos i use radon because fp is faster and Device is cooler ( i try Agni but multitasking is little crap compare to radon or Stock) i Think nos Kernel for oreo is one of the best with multitasking performance and battery life
Im sorry but may i know what does it mean by NOS with x% cardinal with x%. ? Does it mean how much it drain the time u mention or the SOT of the rom?
Sorry ya, i dont really speak english but still in learning process
I use stock NOS 8.1 and battery is very good if u keep it idle but drains more than nougat while using.
( although it depends on what app are u using and what is running in background.). U cant just refer to battery percentage without mentioning the apps running in background. For example facebook if runs in background can drain ur battery fast while a person not using much apps will have a longer battery life.

I really don't know why cyanogenmod consume battery but the stock dont do that much
Maybe it's related to activating the powersaver mode , so what is powersafer mode ?
And is there any ROOTED method to maintain battery on cyanogenmod ?
And I saw on google there is a way of installing root module to make multi window for non TouchWiz phones ? Is that really working ?
And the sensors of the mobile like smart stay is off on CM s3
Or maybe s4 and note 2. 3 s pens when installing cyanogenmod would they lose function too ?

Slimroms is based at cm11 and have enought life battery. Maybe custom rom are usualy drainer battery, but offer a lot of freatures
Send from my Galaxy S3 runing with TemasekROM
There are many comparisons already.
Now let me say. I think you know about AOSP and smoothness? Battery drains a little faster, that's true. That's becase Stock firmwares are smooth, maybe, but responsiveness is slow. I mean compared to AOSP,it's slow, that means less CPU power used, thus less battery drain. It's possible to configure AOSP to work like Stock,I mean make it as slow as Stock fw,so battery will be better.
I'm on AOSP now, too. On Stock firmware my battery usage from 100 to 20% was 4 and sometimes more hrs of screen time. On AOSP I get mostly 3.30-3.50,that's because I use custom kernel and tweaks which give more performance. I just couldn't stand that slowness and lags in some social apps on Stock firmwares (it was smooth in settings, but not in apps). AOSP is smooth everywhere and I prefer that and already got used to battery.
As for features, some are lost, some are gained.

What rom would you all suggest to use on it ?
Has any one use www smiui net to cook a rom?
Do you have any issues with certain roms ? And do they all have gapps installed for playstore and chrome.
thank you all in advance

Dumb question, but is there any difference between the one you've linked and this one? AFAIK mine is the "official" one with only English/Chinese language, yours adds German, French etc etc?

Yes, the rom on en.miui.com have only English and Chinese and no gapps, but it's official.
Xiaomi.eu rom have many languaged and gapps but it's unofficial

I guess it doesnt have. I dont remember. Because I installed gapps for google Maps on opengapps.org. Dont remember to choose arm64.
Using miuipro for now.

You can also use AOSP if you like stock android. I am currently using and everything works except HDR. Battery life is worse than miui but with exposed and a few tweaks you can improve it to >5h SOT and almost 0.01% phone idle drain (in 8 hours over night battery was at same level i left it ).

No it doesnt include xposed or wsm.

Which AOSP Rom and xposed module / tweaks are you using? There are many out there and i always test new ones, but none had a 0.01% idle drain. Most time it's 8% in 10h. SOT is the same everywhere, but i got 6h with my rom, but like i said, the idle drain is a bit too much for having great SOT all the time.

sAOSP and mostly amplify + greenify. About idle drain; i am not sure if it really is 0,01% (in battery stats it says like 20% idle drain but battery was as i left it 10 hours earlier), maybe i am wrong or something ? also i saw it on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-0-0-hour-idle-battery-drain-stock-t2973588 and seems to work. And how did you get 6h sot on your rom ? i can't get more than 4h .

Thanks i will try amplify. I really don't know how my phone could handle 6h and 10min sot. I just wanted to make a test and i didn't throttle my cpu or anyting. I was expecting 4h maybe 4 1/2 hours, but it just didn't want to go out of battery. At the beginning i surfed a bit in the internet and then played a few games, but after a few hours it was guite boring so i decided to let it play youtube videos for nearly an hour. Than the last half hour games again, with the hope, that the sot test ends here and it did. I was very surprised from the result. The only problem on my rom was the idle drain, even with woking deepsleep...

I'm getting 4hs+ almost every day on JDC. Pretty much the most stable thing you can get besides OOS. Either flash JDC(Tesla if you want more features) or OOS.
And don't use Facebook app, either use lite version or some other app like Phoenix. The Facebook app is a battery and memory hogger. I practically gained 1hr more of sot after I deleted it.

Hi guys,
I'm a new Poco user. I've checked out the forums and saw lots of ROMs, Kernels and even Recovery software. I'm a bit overwhelmed for the first time as I'm liking stock MIUI 10 for now. Can someone enlighten me on which ROM has the most features, what ROM is the most stable, which kernels go best with which?
Stability: BaikalOS, Pixel Experience
Powersave: BaikalOS
Customizability / Extra Features: Resurrection Remix, crDroid, Havoc-OS / POSP
Performance: Nitrogen OS, crDroid
Pixel Like: Havoc-OS, Pixel Experience
These are the ones I know but haven't tested all of them. Tell me if I'm missing any.

Wow thanks. Does BaikalOS have the app cloning feature? How good is the battery life compared to MIUI 10?
best kernels
Sphinx and Franco kernel
Best roms
Lineage and stock
Stock is of course the most stable, but the beta builds always have bugs they always remove settings add settings fix something break something.

It doesn't have the app cloning and battery life is a lot better if you manage the background apps strictly but you still have to install it and test it yourself.

There is no best rom or best kernel, it all comes down to personal preference...
Lineage Pie with Franco kernel.
..and go with pixel experience only if u r into very stock version which I think is overrated given its customization limitations.
I have always hated chinese ROMs or apps, take MIUI for example they have like hundreds of apps injected into core system (miui security, miui contacts, miui dialer, miui messaging, miui this that and what not...)

Hi fellow Flip! Yeah I went with Ambasidii rom based on stock MIUI since I need the cloned app feature for ROM (Slave priest). It's rooted and has derp kernel. Battery life is quite a lot better. I was redownloading all my apps overnight and it only drained about 7% of battery life which is 1% more than full stock on idle without WiFi.
By the way, do you do a battery recalibration once you switch roms? Standby time is fantastic on mine but it seems to drain a little harder while playing ROM compared to stock.

There's no need to recalibrated when switching roms. Recommended calibrating your battery ( each month or every three months )
android phones this days use lithium-ion (Li-ion) or lithium-polymer (Li-po) batteries for Poco F1 . This batteries don’t need to be fully discharged, and come with smart chips that make calibration unnecessary and that's the good thing for us.
Just want to share this method , i do this all the time after switching custom roms.
First, drain your phone’s battery completely. Don’t charge it at any point while it’s draining. Let the phone keep working till it shuts itself off. Once the phone has shut itself off, restart it so it shuts off again. Even though the battery was at 0 percent, it has a few reserves left. Now, while the phone is off, charge it to 100 percent. It’s safe to use quick chargers for this, but make sure you hit 100 percent. Once it’s fully charged, unplug it and boot your phone. Android might not say it’s at 100 percent, and that’s okay. In that case, plug the charger again and let it get to 100 percent. then unplug it. This cycle of full drain and recharging lets the chip calibrate its readings with the battery’s charge cycle.
hope that helps:good:
