I am confused, usually LS996 would be Sprint, while Verizon would be VS996.

NO, the LS996 is Sprint LG Flex 2 -- not even V30. (LS998 is the Sprint V30/V30+.)
Whereas, the VS996 is Verizon LG V30.
And you are using the VS996.

I don't care what you got rid of, the thread title of your question is still wrong. That's what everyone was trying to tell you -- Verizon's V30 is not LS996, it's VS996.

The Verizon V30 model is VS996 (not LS 996 which is Sprint LG Flex 2) and many people tried to tell you that -- but you said they were wrong and you were SURE it was LS996. Yet hilariously your Tapatalk signature kept telling the real story.

Not trying to be rude, but people told you to look in the Settings in your phone and you refused.
All you had to do was say, "oh sorry for the typo". Or "my brain was asleep." Instead, you doubled down, while your Tapatalk signature contradicted you. It was just sort of funny.
Not trying to offend you.

I can't really answer your question. The one I have is over a year old. I just went from the Captivate to the SGSII over the weekend and they actually didn't give me a new Sim card. However, my download speeds a are twice what they were on my Captivate, obviously because of the 4G.
What's it look lklike ur similar card!

The old blue and white one is compatible with regular 3g and hspa+. The new orange and blue one you got is for LTE, but it will work in non LTE phones. I switched from the old one to the new one recently and have not experienced any increase in data speeds
The one I'm using says Cingular on it.
the 8 or 9th, or 9th & 10th,can't recall without looking tho, are 2 5.. so if right around there you see a 25 then you have a 4g sim card.

That is a 4G card, I didn't specify but by 4G I meant LTE.. notice the 25. Faux G, AKA HSPA+ doesn't need a new sim card, a 3G will work just the same.

I had an old "At&t 3G" Sim Card and couldn't connect to the HSPA+ "phone" apn, would only connect to "wap.cingular". After a good hour on the phone with At&t and the rep "provisioning" my plan for "4G" nothing worked. Went to the at&t store and got a new Sim Card and that allowed me to connect to the "phone" apn.
My old sim looked like the one Red5 attached
And my new one looks like the one the OP had in his xperia
To the OP i'd recommend blurring your phone number on your first pic...

I am debating returning my note and getting a tmobile one. I just wanted some advice first. Do you think the modem from the tmo version would help us i717 users on tmobile?
That's what im wondering. Did samsung just patch the radio or did they just add a new modem to support the band. I have no idea how these things work, but im hoping its a radio fix that we can just steal.
this will equal cross compatible roms most likely... like the skyrocket and tmobile galaxy sII

The best thing about this is that maybe they will release the source with the phone so we can have some 4.0 modded goodness.

Question/suggestion for you T-Mobile users. Friend of mine used the radio modems from our note on his skyrocket and said it improved his data speeds. So I suggest* that possibly you guys can take the modems from T-Mobile galaxy s II and try them on the note.
* just a suggestion/idea not sure if anyone tried this yet.

It's not going in and out. It's stable. Very stable with speed (highest I've seen) of 14.8 MB download, 9+MB upload.

Maybe it's something to do with sense? Nexus is on vanilla so maybe it does a better job with connecting to faster networks. idk

I don't know. That was my guess too. And if true, it fkn sucks that the HTC devices can't even get LTE but we still pay $10 extra a month for 4G.
Not to mention other devices show to be superior.

Pretty straightforward question but I haven't been able to find a clear cut answer from a reliable source. Since the Sprint Note 3 has a sim card slot can I get it unlocked/flash it to work on either Straight Talk or T-Mobile? I don't care if LTE doesn't work as long as 3G does.

Just to clarify putting sprint note 3 on cricket is completely different thing then putting it on tmobile cricket is cdma u simple flash it like any other cdma galaxy to put it on gsm (tmobile) u first need to unlock the sim so it will accept the tmobile sim but at that point u will have no signal so u then need to remove the us gsm block that sprint has set on it you will not get 4g but will get hspa+ again to clarify there is no such thing as flashing to tmobile flashing is for cdma gsm is all on sim card
Theres your answer^

Once these methods are completed, can you go back to Sprint? Or do you have to do some modifications to go back to Sprint?

I used that method on sprint s4 and sprint note 2 after sim mod I haven't been able to test out on note 3 yet
wait for sim unlock international

Pretty straightforward question but I haven't been able to find a clear cut answer from a reliable source. Since the Sprint Note 3 has a sim card slot can I get it unlocked/flash it to work on either Straight Talk or T-Mobile? I don't care if LTE doesn't work as long as 3G does.

then you can domestic unlock and use on att tmobile hspa+ 4g or sell and buy s4 or g2 that can be converted.
Has anyone been able to get working LTE on Cricket or Straight Talk?
So I am in the middle of an epic battle with Sprint. I want to carrier unlock my device. They are giving me hell because I told them it was NOT for international use, it would be domestic. They(customer retention, because Ive been at it for 2 days now) told me to go ahead to TMO. So I turned to SprintCare on Twitter(@sprintcare) and told them the FCC might be interested to hear my conversation with the 6 different customer service reps I spoke with. Or maybe CNN or Fox. They are now going to unlock my phone for domestic use. Heres a little excerpt.

Good luck, just remember their policy says they wont, that policy was in place when you bought the phone, nothing in the policy is illegal, and so they only have to follow the policy.
That being said good luck, truly, it would be good to use as a precedence if they unlock yours.
Give em Hell and hope it works.
Yea fudge them

Insulting the customer service reps is always the best tactic to get what you want. I'm sure no rep would ever put a note on your account that says you were abusive and belligerent. Yep, vinegar works better than honey.
Should have just lied and said you were going on a European cruise.
Also, have you see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/unlock-sim-gsm-how-to-t2853594

Dude you have no idea what I've put up with from these Nazis. I didn't actually insult a person, just their stupid corporate nazi tactics. I don't lie so for you to suggest I do is actually sickening. I don't really care about carrier unlocking but it's the ethics behind why they aren't allowing it.

The ethics? The ethics are that Sprint's unlocking policy says they won't do what you're asking. There's no ambiguity in their policy. If you don't violate your policy against lying, why expect Sprint to violate their policy just to suit you?
Didn't insult anyone? Telling the CSR you'll wipe your a$$ with his policy is pretty insulting. I'd take it so, and so would most people.
You NEVER lie? Not even a little white lie to your boss? Or wife/girl/boy friend? If true, you're probably the only person on the face of the earth it's true of.
Wow bro. I actually chuckled on this one. That nice screeny. And you realize phones today are a skip to unlock. You just won't get lte but who cares hspa+ on att and hspa on tmo so why ask to unlock knowing Damn well your asking a person whom only works there for a check that follows guidelines. They can't do ****. Lol. But I admire your active eagerness to follow through. Just be prepared to be pissed way off. (or on) lol

http://www.gsmzambia.com/?m=1 2 bucks at this website to unlock lg phones. YOUR WELCOME! And I don't need to show proof I have an unlocked T-Mobile phone. Unlocked using this site. Works amazingly. It doesn't say they unlock the Sprint model but it could be worth a check.
