Disable package APK does disable services? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone!
First of all, sorry for my bad English..
My question is: if I disable a package, do I disable all related services?
I'll explain better: if I disable the svoice APK, do I also disable the dependant services? I'm using root uninstall, which under the APK details list also the services..

The related services should not be disabled since other apps may be dependent on them as well.
Just disabling the app should be enough. What disabling does is prevents the app from launching and the device acts as if it weren't there.
I hope I had explained this okay via text...
Good Luck!

ok, that was what i was thinking.. but! let's say there is a service that an app uses, but it starts independetly (eg at startup) and it uses resources.. one of the many, the "protection" service of samsung galaxy s7, which is used by the app itself, but starts even if the app is not used.
in that case, should be better to use a specific app for shut down services?

[Q] Droidwall, whitelist for samsung dive

Hey guys, which programs must be allowed acces to the net if i wannt samsung dive to work properly ?
using droidwall...
does anybody know ?
**EDIT**
In order to get samsung dive to work properly u need to let the following apps acces the internet:
- Android System,...
- Google Services Framework,...
- Remote Controls
- Samsung account
- SyncmIDS
- GPS
- Kernel (only for call logs)
Cheers.
I'm not sure what Samsung Dive is, but generally if you suspect something is being blocked, you can enable the log in droidwall to see which app it is.

[Q] publishing private app on google play

Hey,
Thanks for reading, I've searched my question on Google and here, and didn't find answer to my question. :cyclops:
Please,
Is there any way I can publish an app to my google play account and make it "private" means it won't be listed on Play Store, and won't be searchable by search engines?
So only specific people I give them a download link can download the app?
Yeah I know I can host the .apk file somewhere and send the links to my mates, but I don't want that they will need to activate the: "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources" - because I know it will be too complicated for them. And with that said I want the app to be private.
Is there any way to do it?
Thanks a lot for reading!!

[Q] User Defined Route on Google Maps(or suggest a another app)

Hi!
i might sound like a total noob because of this question..but please forgive me..i googled and the results i got weren't that satisfying.
so just wanned to ask you guys for some recommendations and pointers for this issue of mine
I recently wanned to define my route from home to work via google maps, but unfortunately the paths( routes) all rely on main roads...but i have found a quicker route. how can manually set the path i have found to google maps...is there a third party app for this specific task, please shed some light on this matter.

[Q] What is currenlty the best application for SMS scheduling?

Hello Everyone. I have just cahnged smartphone (from a Samsung Glaxy S5 mini with lollipop i am now using a Samung Galaxy A8 2018 with android 7.x.x). And i am going through all the app i had on the previous one to see if there is something that i have to delete, update etc ...
Now, one specific need that i have is to use an app for scheduling sms. On the previous smartphone i was using "SMS Scheduler" by lylynx.com developer. The app was great, worked smooth, and only required 3 permissions (no internet access needed, and overall for an app that has access to sms data is a good thing that has a limited amount of other permissions required). Now i have just realized THAT app is no longer available in the playstore ... off course i do have the last apk (and i am giving it a try to see if it works ok on the new smartphone) but i was wondering ... what happened to that developer? Is there any other similar app around? Maybe by a developer that is currently active? I would prefer to use applications that are still available in the play store and that couldreceive any update (if needed by whatever reason)? Do you have some app suggestion for me?
Thank you in advance to anyone who will post some suggestion/contribution.
Bye

"To comply with government rules on telecommunication and smart device usage and information handling, we can not provide or develop support for Google Play and associated services. Please understand. We appreciate your love for our devices."

Asking them is useless to be honest they wouldn't know. They would tell you to consult with their repair center for further instructions. So i wouldn't take their word. We will be able to install Google services but it will take some time.
Is there an update on this matter?
My ROG phone (CN import) is about to arrive, and not being able to install Google Play Services etc. on it would be a big issue for me. With all my previous chinese phones (Huawei, Smartisan, Vivo NEX, etc) I have been able to somehow work around it through APK's or flashing, but this doesn't seem to work with this ASUS phone, correct?
Can anyone confirm what has been tried and failed?
Thanks a lot in advance for your support and input.

Every Google installer 2 & 3 (chinese & english version) have been tried. Also installing all the required Google apks individually has also been tried, none of them work. A representative from Asus has confirmed that the current software version doesn't support Google services and we will have to wait for the next update which will support Google services as promised. Check my previous post with the links to Asus ROG phone forum there you will find the Asus representative feedback.

we have the same phone and still waiting for a solution
Hi all,
Did anyone make any progress on this?
On my end I'm contsantly checking and posting on the official ASUS Zenforums (China), but no luck so far.
I'm getting quite desperate, as this 1000$+ phone is currently rather useless to me.

Patience is a virtue!. I suspect we will be getting Google services working properly with the next major update(Android Pie 9.0). Personally I have migrated from using Google apps and found alternatives.
You could use Nox on your PC, add your Google account to the VM, install your app, extract the apk, copy to your phone, then install the app there.

Mmh, sorry for asking redundant questions, but how would this work?
It seems the issue is that the CN ROG phone doesn't support Google Framework, no APK's have worked so far. Other, none-GF apps run fine.
Would your method somehow cirumvent this issue, and would I be able to install Google Play and its related services on this phone?
Thanks a lot for your time and support.
This would make it so you could just side load the apps.

Actually Google maps(without account login) & translate work fine without Google framework I have them installed on my device.
If you need all Google apps to work on your device there is a way for that but they wouldn't be working directly instead through an Emulator installed on the device. PM me if you need the instructions.
Otherwise if you need a good Google playstore replacement I would recommend "yalp store" & "aptoide" or apk mirror website.

To be honest, if you want to use Google Apps, dont get a CN device. You will save yourself from wasting time, and severe headaches. The model in HKG will support Google Apps out of the box. I am getting mine this weekend. I got a Huawei Tablet from CN, and never again will I get a CN device of any sort.
