Hey all I have Redmi Note 4 (Indian Variant, Snapdragon 625). Now SD 625 has the capability to capture images at 24MP. But the on the device the max resolution is 13MP. Is there any method/MOD/Tweak to unlock the full potential of the Camera ?
Thanks.
What you are saying about the Snapdragon 625 is completely hardware dependent. Redmi note 4 has a 13 mp cam, so sd 625 is limited to 13 mp only on this device, plus the upscaling to '24 mp' isn't something which gives quality images.

Camera is limited by the hardware.. not the software.

I am about to choose one of these versions and i need your help to choice one for me.
16 GB, 2 GB RAM - Standard version
32 GB, 3 GB RAM - High version, Special edition
I want to go for 32GB/3GB RAM version because more space and more faster, also i want what is good for extra ROMS.

Special Edition = Kate = more/different bands, less popular
Pro = Kenzo = more popular, lots of custom ROMs, no firmware hassles
Go for Redmi Note 3 pro 3/32GB variant.

Kenzo, kate both have 5.5 inch screen. Buy from correct website.
Kenzo , for which development is near nexus / oneplus devices except in multirom development which is very poor state.

Flash kate firmware and enjoy kenzo rom's.
hello,
both special edition and the "pro prime" versions are the same except height and bands. for custom roms the special edition might be more of a hassle. another thing is cases of normal won't fit comfortably on special ED.
i live in Bahrain and both versions support all carriers and i guess it's the same for you as you are in UAE. you can check with "willmyphonework" website for that.
why are you considering the Special ED to begin with?

now the pro has Snapdagon processor, while the older regular version has MTK processor.

Devs we need support for Redmi Note 4x Nikel. It has an extremely powerful processor and GPU but this device is not getting support from anywhere. Kindly consider this device. It is upgraded version of Redmi note 4 Nikel. MIUI provided the same ROM for the old (Redmi note 4 Nikel) and the new version (Redmi note 4x Nikel) of this device in 2017. However old TWRP and ROMs do not work in Redmi note 4x.

Nobody will develop for this device because Mediatek is not releasing sources, so it's nearly impossible to fix bugs or build a custom kernel.. basically it's a waste of time.
If you want long support and custom ROM's you have to buy Snapdragon 625 variant. (Mido)
Go beg Mediatek to release sources and you will have proper support and ROM's.

Redmi Note 4 MTK has many custom roms and Last ROM for redmi note 4x nikel and Redmi Note 4 nikel is same. Means this case is became same like ROM for Mi3 and Mi4 is same (one) but their TWRP are different. Official MIUI ROM automatically install appropriate recovery and firmware patch for both devices. There is minor difference between both devices.
